CT Scan Of My Brain And Abdomen!

This morning my son played his game before getting ready for school. Then he got ready and I drove him to school. Once I got home I had breakfast. Then I called the Beaumont Soccer Association and talked to someone about registering my son for soccer this spring. He’s now officially registered in the under 9. There are 2 games per week and 1 practice. I hope that my hubby’s schedule doesn’t change and that he is able to get him there, because it will definitely conflict with my daughter’s dance schedule. I did request that he be put on his friend’s team, for this reason. I told them that my daughter has a busy dance schedule and that if my husband is working driving will be difficult. However, if he’s on his friend’s team he would be guaranteed a ride. They said that they will try to get them onto the same team… I guess that we will see. Afterwards, I laid down for a bit, my daughter came up at about 11:00. She wanted me to go to South Common with her. So I got up and we got ready to go. On the way there she went into Booster Juice and bought herself a smoothie. Then we went to Bed Bath and Beyond in South Common. She bought some hand soap, body spray, body wash and a couple candles. I think that that’s all. Then we went to Ardenes and she bought a couple packages of new nose rings, it was 3 for $15.00. So she bought 3 packages of 6. I for me and 3 for her. We wear different kinds. Then we drove home. I had to remove all of my piercings and jewelry and then leave right away to go to the Leduc Community Hospital for my CT Scans. I had one of my brain and one of my abdomen. It was only about a 20 minute drive. I even found free 2 hour parking on the street! I had to register at the admissions desk and then they directed me to the imaging department, who was quite close. I had a small form to fill out and only had to wait for about 10 minutes or so. Then I had to put a gown and “robe” on and lie on a stretcher. The nurse/technician put an iv in my arm for the contrast and then she had me drink a glass of water. Then I got up and walked into the room with the CT Scan Machine. I had to lie down and they did the brain scan first. I told her about the Teflon in my brain, from my MVD brain surgery, in case it shows up and they are wondering what in the world it is…she was very glad that I told her, as she thinks that it probably will show up in the scan. After the brain scan was finished, they started on the abdomen scan, they did it numerous times, but it didn’t seem to be working correctly. They ended up getting me to stand up and turn around and had me going in feet first instead of head first. This way worked and they were able to turn on the pump and inject whatever goes into the iv. It feels really warm and then makes you feel like you’ve wet yourself – lol ( which is exactly what they warn you it will feel like!! It doesn’t actually happen, of course!! It just feels that way 😂) Once it was finished she took out the iv and said I could go. I went into the room and took off the robe to start changing, but blood was soaking through the cotton swab and pouring down my arm. I quickly went back into the room and showed the ladies who had been helping me. They told me to put pressure on it while they put on rubber gloves. Then she got another thicker swab and quickly changed it and applied a lot of pressure. She said that sometimes it doesn’t seal. She cleaned up my arm and then I washed my bloody hands. Then I was actually able to get dressed and drive home. I got home in time to put my jewelry and piercings back on (all except my nose ring, which takes me a while..) then my daughter and I left to drive to the city for her dance. I wear the nose rings that twist to stay on, not just the L shaped ones. They are a lot more difficult to put in, but once they’re in, they tend to stay put! After dropping her off I drove to Timmy’s and ordered my usual, Earl Grey tea (2 milks, 1 honey) and a muffin. Then I went back to the studio. It was beautiful outside, plus 16!! So I turned off the van. After eating my muffin, I pushed the seat back as far as it goes and then tilted it back all the way. I, of course, was both tired and nauseous, so I just relaxed while she was dancing. Then, when she had 15 minutes left, I remembered that I was supposed to buy her a black, crew neck t-shirt for her hip hop costume for the competition that starts on Thursday!! Sheesh!! Guess what I’m doing tomorrow!! When she was finished we drove home. I wasn’t feeling great. I ate something small and I managed to get my nose ring back in. Then I laid down until it was my son’s bedtime. I got him into bed. I wrote this. Now I’m going to go on my phone for a bit and I’m going to get ready for bed.

I Need Sleep…

This morning I woke up at about 6:10am, because I had to drive my daughter to work. I climbed back into bed once I got home. Then a few minutes later my alarm went off and my son woke up and played a game on my phone for a half an hour. Then we got up and got ready for school. Once I dropped him off, I had something to eat for breakfast. Then I did my son’s hot lunch order online. After that I did my psychology registration. I was feeling really tired again, so when I finished doing that , I went upstairs and laid down in my bed until I had to get my daughter from her spare at about 1:35pm. Once I picked her up, she made herself something to eat. I went back upstairs, because I hadn’t actually slept. My hubby left to pick up my son and then my daughter from work. My daughter and I left early for dance, because her class started 15 minutes early today. For once we were one of the first ones there!! Coming from Beaumont that’s not usually the case!! On the way home, I stopped at Shoppers and picked up my daughter’s prescription and a few things that she may need for her competition this week, I also bought a couple groceries. Then I went home. My tummy was, surprise surprise, feeling pretty nauseous! I made something quick for my son, there was leftovers for my hubby and I had hard boiled eggs and plain toast. Then I went upstairs and laid down. My stupid tummy just felt worse after I ate…I really wish that it would stop! But nothing seems to change…At about 8:25, my oldest daughter came upstairs and we talked until my son’s bedtime. Then I got him ready for bed. Once he was asleep, I went on my phone for a while. Now I’m going to try to actually get to sleep tonight…I’m kind of giving up on a full night of sleep! But something is better then nothing…

So So Sick And Tired

This morning I woke up early. My alarm was set for 10:00, but I woke up at about 7:00. That was pretty unfortunate because I didn’t sleep well, again last night. It’s been about a million nights in a row that I haven’t slept well…I feel perpetually exhausted and perpetually nauseous!! I’m so very sick and tired of it!! I was really feeling tired, but I couldn’t fall back asleep. So I just laid there in bed relaxing. I texted back and forth with my daughter at work for quite a while. Then I got up when my alarm was set to go off. I had a quick shower, got dressed and had something to eat. Then my daughter and I drove to the city. We stopped at the Walmart parking lot and met someone to buy a game for my oldest daughter from Facebook market place. We were pretty early, so I had time to stop and buy her a vitamin water to take into dance with her. Then I drove her to extra dance rehearsal. She had extra rehearsal from 12:00 – 3:00 today. Her first competition is this week starting on Thursday. So, all of her teachers are trying to get as many extra rehearsals in as possible!! After dropping her off, I went to Winners. I needed some night cream, mine will be out soon. Although my daughter’s birthday isn’t until August, I found her a perfect birthday present, so I bought that and will just hide it until then. Then I went to Timmy’s and bought my usual earl grey tea (2 milks, 1 honey)! I drove back to the studio and planned on turning off the van and sleeping. I started to do that, but my hubby texted me and asked me to go to the Capilano Walmart to pick something up for him. So, I drove back to Capilano and went into the Walmart, bought it for my hubby. Then I drove back to the studio. I then turned off the van, pushed my seat back all the way, tilted it back all the way and closed my eyes. Unfortunately, I didn’t actually fall asleep today. I did relax though and sipped my tea until she was finished dancing. Then we drove back to Beaumont. When we got home she remembered that she was supposed to pick up some of the cupcakes that she and her friend had made from her friend’s house, so we drove to her friend’s and got them. Then we went home. My oldest daughter and I then went to Sobeys together and bought some groceries. Then we went to Shoppers and she bought some shampoo and conditioner. Then we went home. I made supper for everyone. Then I went upstairs at about 8:00 to lie down. My son had a shower. Then I got him ready for bed. I fell asleep for a while. Then I woke up again and went on my phone for a while. I have to get up at 6:15am tomorrow morning and drive my daughter to work. My hubby doesn’t have a ride to work, so he has to take the car, so I have to get my daughter to her job!! I’m going to get myself ready for bed. I’m sooo tired and nauseous…argh!

A Good Visit With Mom And Dad❤️

This morning I woke up at about 11:00. My mom and I texted back and forth a bit about what she should make for supper tonight when we come over and when we were planning on coming. Then my son went on my phone and I relaxed for a bit. About a half an hour later my oldest daughter came into my room and we talked for a while. Then we all went downstairs. I made them each something to eat and myself something as well. My daughter couldn’t really eat what she had asked me to make her though… Afterwards, we figured out which games we wanted to take to my parent’s house today. My son and hubby played Fortnite for a while. Then we got ready to leave. My hubby wasn’t feeling the greatest, so he decided to stay home. On the way there we stopped at the bank and then at the Booster Juice, since my daughter still hadn’t eaten anything and she was already feeling nauseous (like me!!) and needed to take her antibiotics, and if she doesn’t take them with food she feels even more nauseous!! Then we drove to the city. On the way to my parent’s house, we stopped at someone’s house and my daughter picked up something from Facebook market place. Then we went to mom and dad’s. We played Wizard when we got there. At about 4:45. My younger daughter and I stopped playing and I drove her to the studio for her extra production rehearsal and an extra pointe rehearsal. I went back to my parent’s place and they were just finishing another round of Wizard. Then they stopped playing and we started making supper. My mom and I had decided on a chicken stir fry. She had cut the chicken and most of the veggies ahead of time. I cut the pepper and the zucchini slices in half. Mom fried the chicken and dad fried the veggies. My daughter made herself a smoothie and then when everything was about to be finished my mom quickly made my daughter a can of soup as well. Then we all sat down to eat supper. After supper, we went downstairs and played Disney’s Scene It on the TV. I played until about 7:15, but then I had to leave to pick up my daughter from dance. We drove back home and went downstairs, we joined into a second game of Scene It, but it was right at the end. Then we got our stuff together and drove home. My daughter has to work early tomorrow morning, so we couldn’t stay very late tonight. Once we got home, I helped my daughter scrub her carpet, yet again, because she says that all she smells at night is the smell from when she threw-up the other night. After really scrubbing it, I drenched it with Febreze. Hopefully it works this time!! Then I went upstairs, let the dogs out (and back in after a lol😂😂 Someone who regularly reads my post jokingly asked me if I ever let my dogs back in!!) and filled up our water bottles!! Then I went upstairs and laid in bed. I was going to just relax until my son came upstairs, but I instantly fell asleep! Probably because I was exhausted, I haven’t exactly gotten a whole lot of sleep the past few nights!! Then my son came up and I got him into bed, went on my phone and now I’m going to get ready for bed. I’m curious if the RCMP found anything in the garbage can yesterday…when my daughter was buying her Booster Juice I peeked into the garbage can that he had dumped the stuff into and it had a brand new garbage bag in it! Just makes me wonder if they actually found anything…I guess I will never know!! Oh well. 🤷‍♀️

A Purse Thief!!

This morning my son played his game for a while and then he got ready for school. When I got home from dropping him off, I had breakfast and then I had a shower.

Oh, by the way, seems that a lot of people got a good laugh out of my description yesterday of my outside clean-up fiasco…thanks for the comments. I kind of enjoyed writing it…😂 Much more then I enjoyed doing the actual gross work – lol!! Tonight’s post is going to be much less amusing though and likely shorter, because it’s pretty late and I’m tired and feeling pretty nauseous right now ☹️.

After I showered I had to pick up my daughter from school, because she had a neurologist appointment in the city at noon. We quickly came home and dropped off her stuff and then drove downtown to the Allin Clinic. The dr talked to her about her headaches, as usual. She wants to do a breathing test to see if she has asthma, even if it’s mild asthma. My daughter had this test last year, but the results came back inconclusive, so I guess that we are going to try again.

After the appointment, we drove to the Ardenes at Capilano Mall and I got her a couple pairs of cheap shoes that she wanted and so desperately needed. The shoes that she was wearing all the time had holes in the bottom and had worn through on top as well. Then we went into the Winners and I bought a small gift for her friend’s birthday that is tonight and she used her for Winners gift card and a bit of her money that was in her bank to buy herself a cute, little backpack. Afterwards, we drove back to Beaumont. We stopped at the Shoppers and bought her friend a card. The card we picked was so funny that we were literally laughing out loud in the store! It was hilarious!! We drove home from there. My oldest daughter was there with my son. My hubby had gone out with his friend. My oldest daughter was feeling a bit better today in comparison to yesterday. The swelling had already gone down a bit. Also the T3’s were helping with the pain. The antibiotics are hard on her tummy. So she was feeling pretty nauseated most of the day. Her boss sent her home at 1:00pm, instead of at 3:15pm. She still went in at 6:45am. She wanted me to go pick up her nasal spray and to get her a booster juice and my hubby said I should get the kids what they wanted…not that we had any money!? So, I got my son A&W and my daughter wanted Subway. My younger daughter came with me. We got the things at Shoppers first, then went to booster juice.

When we pulled up to the Booster Juice my daughter was looking at something strangely as I shut off the van and started to grab my purse. Then she said “Mom, look, mom!!” I looked in the direction that she was nodding her head and there was a younger man standing by a garbage can, wearing gloves, going through someone’s purse and throwing out what looked like someone’s ID. It looked really obviously to both of us that he had stolen it and was getting rid of what looked like ID or something and other things that he wasn’t interested in. We tried not to stare, but he was so close to us that we also didn’t want to get out of the van right then while he was so obviously doing that, right in front of us! There was another man walking by who clearly saw what he was doing as well and we could see that he was trying to decide if he should do something or not. He literally walked back and forth past him 3 times!! Then he just walked away and into BP’s. Finally the man with the purse took off in the direction of the CIBC. My daughter and I went inside the Booster Juice and got our order. Then, when we came out, instead of getting into the van, we causally walked past the garbage can and looked into it, to see if we could see anything like maybe someone’s ID or something. The garbage wasn’t near the top, so we couldn’t reach anything, but we could clearly see a pair of black, rubber gloves that he had obviously tossed inside the garbage can once he had finished and moved on. We think he probably took the purse from an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot, and wore the gloves while doing so. If there was anything important, it had slipped farther into the garbage… We got back into the van. Got the rest of the food then drove home.

When we got home, I called the Beaumont RCMP (not the 911 line, just the town complaint line) to report what we saw. I told them what time it happened and which garbage can and what he was wearing, etc. They wrote it all down. I wasn’t sure if they were going to take it seriously, but about 5 minutes later a Constable called me from the exact location to ask me a couple more questions. About which direction he went and if he was alone. He said they were going to search the garbage can (my daughter and I certainly hope that they find more then garbage – lol) and then probably drive around a bit looking for him, since he was on foot!

Once I got off the phone, I drove my daughter to her friend’s birthday. Then my oldest daughter and I watched the first couple of episodes of The Queer Eye…they were fabulous!! How I love this show!!!! It is such a feel good show and both episodes made me cry…😢😢 Then we all watched a couple funny YouTube videos. I got my son into bed. I went on my phone. Now I’m going to get ready for bed.

An Infected Face AND Shitty Yellow Ice

This morning my son actually stayed awake and played his game for about a half an hour before he got up and started getting ready for school. After I dropped him off, I came home and some breakfast. I was feeling extremely exhausted and nauseous and had another migraine.

My daughter had a really rough night. She was up a couple times in the night, feeling sick from so much pain. Around 4:00am, just after my hubby’s alarm went off, she came back upstairs asking me where the carpet cleaning spray was, because she had thrown up over the side of her bed…great 😧 I helped her find all the stuff she needed, but she actually cleaned it up herself. Well, she did a clean up as well as you can at four in the morning when you feel like hell kind of clean up. I tried to go back to sleep, but I didn’t and was basically just awake until the alarm went off. I think that I got about an hour of sleep total…🤷‍♀️

I really wanted to just go to bed after eating my breakfast…but I’ve been trying to be a bit productive in the mornings at least! So I cleaned our super, nasty kitchen floor and I scrubbed all of our lower cabinets that used to be white (and are now white again!) Then I cleaned our dogs bowls, poor things were eating and drinking out of pretty darn disgusting dishes!! My bigger dog sheds a ridiculous amount and as she eats or drinks her fur will stick to the edge of the bowl. Well, let me tell you, the amount of fur that was along the inside couple of inches of those bowls had me literally gagging…so so nasty! Definitely should have been cleaned a lot sooner! Poor puppies ☹️ I also cleaned the area underneath the bowls, which gets equally gross🤢 (none of this is fun to do when you feel extremely nauseous…however, if I use that excuse for everything then I will just have to do nothing, because apparently I’m going to be nauseous forever🤮!) The next and final disgusting thing that I decided to do was to deal with the dog shit on the back step. Our small dog has a big problem that drives me crazy! When we let her out to do her business, she doesn’t go down into the yard, like any normal, reasonable, average dog – including our bigger dog. Nope!! She will do whatever it is that she needs to do right there on the back step!!! So gross!! I mean grass is soft for her little butt, well, snow in the winter I guess. I mean I understand that she’s tiny and the snow gets pretty deep, but half the time she is so darn little that she doesn’t even fall through it. Hmmm…Even if you toss her little ass into the yard she will still come back and do “thang” on the “bleeping” back step (not literally “toss”, I am not abusing my dog, please don’t freak out and send the animal rights people my way… I love the little shit, but she makes me crazy!!) So, needles to say, it’s annoying and, well, obviously, it’s nasty!! We have two leashes for them, that ultimately get hopelessly tangled together, because we have a fairly big yard and we like to have a semi-controlled area where they do said business, a “shit-zone” if you will. It makes clean-up easier and you’re less likely to accidentally step in dog crap in the backyard…etc. Anyway, with the damn cold February weather and all of the snow that we had, our back step has become a literal bright yellow, 5.5 inch pile of shit and ice!!! Mmm yum. This is after the top layer melted a bit over the past couple of days, so now ALL you can see every time you let out the dogs is layers of shit (and it’s all you smell, mind you…🤮)!! AND go ahead and guess who almost always lets the dogs in and out, I mean, basically always does, not almost always, let’s be real. Yep, yours truly!! When I let them out this morning I was almost looking like that little green emoji I just used…And, as an aside, I know from past experience the mistake of leaving things too long and letting the current half frozen/melting shit/piss pile turn to mush. Oh…it gets worse…so so much worse!!! If I’m thinking that this current half frozen 5.5 inch layer of yuck makes me gag and that the nausea isn’t going away, I know how bad shit/piss-mush gets! Just writing about it is making me gag, so I’m moving away from that oh so appetizing topic now…yack!!! So, I very bravely ventured outside (with my hubby’s shoes on (lol – because he doesn’t care about what he steps in, really he doesn’t and I actually do!!) I put my game face on and picked up the shovel, brought my arm back as far as I could and swung it forward, head directly for the highest, grossest pile of shit I could find and wham! It was rock solid ice shit and piss!! It completely jarred me right to my core!! Nothing happened!! Nothing moved!! So, of course, I tried again!! And I tried a few more times and wondered how the hell it could possibly smell that reprehensible if it was bloody, completely frozen!! I pondered the situation for a time…Then I reckoned I had a brilliant idea! I went back inside, through and out the front door and grabbed the ice chipper!! I figured that it would be easy to chip through 5.5 inches of solid bright yellow ice, shit and piss! Well, turns out, it’s NOT!! It’s really, truly not!! And it really isn’t fun when the little yellow bits fly up in your face either or the brown bits or any friggen bits for that matter…Oh and did I mention how much I love my “bleeping” dog…😂😂 Sigh… So, needless to say, this wasn’t the favourite part of my day… Our back step, or maybe you call it a landing, not a back step, isn’t all that big, but I was out there with colourful, frozen bits flying for far too long…my arms were burning when I finally finished and there were a couple parts that remained that, no matter how hard I bashed them with the chipper, I couldn’t manage to break through…lucky me, I get to wait for the season of shit/piss mush my most favourite time of year (apart from Christmas of course…😂) But wait, the fun with dog shit and piss didn’t stop here, oh no!! I wasn’t that lucky!! It got even more fun when I decided that I should untangle their leashes without wearing gloves for some ridiculously, idiotic reason (like the 1 hour of sleep from last night obviously did a number on my brain), as these are the leashes that that lovely little shit, I mean my wonderful dog that I adore🐶, drags over and through and literally pees on and my bigger dog drags her leash over and through to get to the yard and back to the door every time she goes in or out. Also, the leashes were so very twisted together that they both had been all over that lovely, filthy back step every bloody time either of them “bleeping” moved!! So, I stupidly untangled the leashes with my barehands for a good 30 minutes. AND then, for my MOST stupid moment of the day, drumroll please…I thought I would see how bad they actually did smell, were they really that bad?? Yes… I actually smelled my hands after handling those horrid leashes for over 30 minutes straight…WHAT was I thinking?! Well, let me tell you, I shouldn’t have to answer that for you, because it really should’ve been “bleeping” OBVIOUS!!!! Hello!!! You were holding the piss and shit leashes for a half an hour!! Of course your hands smell like potty water you Moron!! Go scrub your “bleeping” hands with THE Hottest water you can stand and as much smells SO yummy you want to taste it Bath And Body Works Black Cherry Merlot foaming hand soap you Fool…now go – chop chop!!!

So, yah! That’s my fun morning and my not so bright moment…

Although I’d bet money I’m not the only one who’d smell their hands, afterwards!! However, I’m possibly the only one stupid enough to admit it doing so…😂😂

Guess what I did after that… I had a freakin’ shower that’s what!!! You didn’t forget about the multi-coloured, flying, bloody ice-chips did you?! Because I most definitely DID NOT!! How the frig could I?! My glasses were speckled, speckled I tell you!! Besides, at this point my stress levels were rather high and I needed to find my zen or do something to calm bloody down💆‍♀️, I was pretty grossed out by this point!! Of course when I came back inside my dogs were thrilled to see me, as dogs are when you come in the house, even if you’ve been gone for 5 minutes. Because they are amaze-balls and love you unconditionally and freak out every time you walk into the house or room. However, I was not feeling so affectionate at the time, after cleaning up that mess. That didn’t last long though…puppy love is hard to resist you know!

After my shower, I finally went back to bed for a while. Not for all that long though, because at about 1:35 I went to the high school and picked up my daughter from her spare. There is a bake sale at her school tomorrow for one of the student clubs she’s involved with, so she needed to get some things to bring to bake cupcakes with her friend after dance tonight and grabbed a few other groceries. We came home afterwards and put away the groceries. Then I went upstairs to try to actually sleep, since it had yet to happen and my head was pounding. However, my hubby came home and came upstairs and talked to me for a while. He left and then I only had a half an hour until I had to get dressed again and drive my daughter to dance. After I dropped her off I came home and picked up my oldest daughter and drove back to the city to my parent’s house. My daughter talked to my dad regarding a loan for her oral surgery. Then we drove back to Beaumont and straight to our dentist, because her one side of her face had doubled in size since I had last seen her the night before and I wasn’t going to ignore it. I told them that she was in major pain and they could clearly see the swelling. The dentist saw her immediately and her upper right side and inner cheek is infected. They gave her antibiotics and a few pain killers. When we got back into the van and I saw the small amount of pain killers that had been prescribed, I drove directly from the dentist to the walk-in medical clinic. We saw the dr there who took one look at her, also saw that it was infected and prescribed antibiotics, as well as enough pain killers to last her until the date of her oral surgery appointment!!! Thank goodness!👏🏼👏🏼 I am not trying to criticize, nor am I naming names. However, as a person who has endured years of chronic pain. My daughter’s pain was very apparent and I specially asked if they would control her pain until the surgery date and the Dentist said nothing to me and the dental assistant said, no, these definitely won’t last that long. Hopefully when the antibiotics kick in her pain will go away. I said that she was in pain even before this was infected. However, again, they said nothing. Again, as a chronic pain patient I have been treated like I am just looking for pain medication, like I want to get high. People don’t trust you. There is a huge stigma regarding this topic. However, 10 Tylenol 3’s are a complete joke!! That not enough medication for 2 whole days!! The dr said 6 pills/day; 2 pills every 4 hours. They told her that the antibiotics wouldn’t even help for the first 3 days. So, they didn’t even give her enough medication to last her to when the antibiotics should begin to work. Ridiculous!! Okay. My rant is over…🤦🏼‍♀️

We got gas, went to Shoppers and picked up her prescription and then finally we went home. It’s definitely a good thing that we went, because apparently the oral surgeon will not proceed with the surgery if she has an infection!! So she definitely needs to diligently finish the entire course of antibiotics!! When we got home, I went downstairs with her to her bedroom to help her better clean up her mess from throwing up last night. Then I had to leave again to pick up my daughter and her friend from dance. We dropped off her friend and then I dropped off my daughter at her other friend’s house to make their cupcakes. I picked up my hubby’s prescription from Shoppers. I went home and I finally had something to eat!! I was feeling pretty bloody hungry!! It was about 10:00pm by then!! Everyone else was in bed! As I ate I started writing this post! It’s definitely a long one tonight…it’s taken me a long time and now it’s late. My daughter came home from making cupcakes while I was writing it. I stopped for a while and came upstairs and said goodnight to her. I made sure I had my son’s green St Patrick’s Day shirt and socks that he picked out for tomorrow at school ready. Now I’m going to get ready for bed, because I’m super tired!!

My Poor Baby Girl Is In A Lot Of Pain😢☹️

This morning my son woke up early to play his game on my phone. I gave him my phone and thought he was playing it. When the second alarm went off and I went to tell him that it was time to start getting ready for school he was really upset, because he had immediately fallen back asleep with my phone in his hand – lol! He was sad, but I guess that he just needed the extra sleep this morning… So we just got up and got ready for school. Once I dropped him off, I came home and had something to eat. Then I unloaded and loaded the dishwasher. Then I repotted a plant that I’ve been meaning to get to and tidied up a few others, by getting rid of dead leaves, etc. I did some other things around the house. Then I went upstairs around 1:00 and rested until about 3:15. I didn’t really sleep, I just kind of relaxed. When I got up I got ready to drive my daughter, then I got some food together for her, so that she had supper with her at dance. Then we left and drove to dance. We actually made pretty good time and we were only 5 minutes late. We thought that we were going to be later, considering we left at 3:45 and her class begins at 4:00!! We had to drive from Beaumont to 50th Street and Sherwood Park Freeway! At my son’s school a child pulled the fire-alarm just before the final bell! So they all had to shuffle outside and be accounted for before they could go home. Also, they were not allowed back into the school. So his backpack with his lunch box and his winter boots are still at the school. He had his jacket, snow pants, toque and gloves on with his indoor runners!! Oh well. Not a huge deal… I’m not one of those parents who freaks out about every little thing! Although I’m certain that the school had to deal with some of those kinds of parents…😂 Anyway, I took the Anthony Henday to Sherwood Park Freeway and made excellent time this afternoon! Also, as we were driving and I was literally just saying, “are you going to text your friend (I actually said her name) and tell her you’re going to be late?!” My daughter received a group text from her teacher saying, “Had the car getting looked at, going to be 5 minutes late!!” And we pulled into the lot and she hadn’t yet arrived!! So my daughter was happy 😊 After dropping her off, I pulled over in the parking lot to read a text from my mom. We texted back and forth for a while. Then I drove back to town. I went to No Frills to pick up more cheap windshield washer fluid, but they were out of stock and the shipment that they were supposed to get in hadn’t arrived yet ☹️ I buy if there because it’s only $3.00. It’s the cheapest I’ve found it. Well, actually, I believe it may be the same at Costco. Except that you have to buy a 4 or 6 pack at Costco, which really isn’t a big deal for me, the way I’ve been running through the stuff…ideally we get the stupid thing fixed! However, my solution today was to just go home!! Once at home I went upstairs. My oldest daughter and son were on my bed. My daughter really isn’t doing well. She can barely open her mouth, can hardly eat, has cried herself to sleep some nights and has to wait until April 3rd for her dental surgery – if she/we can even pay for it!!🤷‍♀️ I don’t know if you can tell from this photo, but her one cheek is super swollen. The wisdom tooth is growing in sideways and is literally cutting up the inside of her cheek!!

She is using Ora-gel (I don’t know if I spelled that correctly) constantly, numbing throat spray on the inside of her cheek and prescription strength naproxen, but it’s not touching the pain. I told her that we should call the dentist and tell them how bad the pain is and ask them if they can prescribe something stronger for it. She is barely able to eat anything at all. She tried eating her lunch at work and started crying and just stopped and didn’t eat. When I came upstairs she fell asleep in my bed. My son has a favourite necklace that he wears all the time. He has worn the cord thin and we’re afraid that it’s going to break. I’m pretty sure I wrote about it the other day. We sat on the bed together and took the beads off the old one and using the materials that we bought a couple days ago, we made him a new one that looks just like the old one. He is super happy about it!! Afterwards, my daughter woke up, because her stupid mouth was bugging her. We all went downstairs. I made grilled cheese sandwiches for supper. I made my daughter’s very lightly grilled so that it wasn’t very crunchy and she didn’t eat the crusts. She can only open her mouth about an inch without it hurting. Thank goodness they plan on giving her general anesthetic and not just local, because if they needed her to open her mouth wide, well that wouldn’t go over all that well…It was seeming greasy to me, so I had my usual boring eggs and plain toast. Mmmm good😂. It was actually a pretty late supper, especially mine. My hubby was tired and he went upstairs to bed before us. My son went on my phone for a while. I cleaned up the kitchen. Then I let out the dogs and filled water bottles. I got my son ready for bed and my daughter got dropped off from dance. I locked the doors, said goodnight to my daughter. Then I went on my phone. Now I’m going to get ready for bed.

A Pretty Full Day For Once…

This morning my son went on my phone for a half an hour and then we got up and got ready for school. After dropping him off, I came home and had something to eat. Then I called The Beaumont Soccer Association to get information about soccer registration, but I had to leave a message. Then I called to make a dr’s appointment for my younger daughter with the neurologist, which I was supposed to do a few weeks ago, again I had to leave a message. I did a few things in my bedroom that I’ve been meaning to get done, although it doesn’t look like it. I have a ton of clothes to go through, among other things. My hubby called me around 10:00 to tell me that the hospital that I’m getting the CT Scan at next week called to remind me of my appointment. I don’t know why they have his phone number and not mine…strange. My daughter finally got her referral call from the dental surgeon. Problem is that it’s going to be ridiculously expensive!! It will cost over $3200!! We need to call her insurance company tomorrow to find out what portion of that is covered and what she has to pay. That is crazy!! She is in so much pain that she can only drink warm water and she can’t eat certain things. She practically cries when she brushes her teeth…it’s not a good situation and she needs to have the teeth removed, but that price is outrageous! They had a very detailed medical history form that I helped her fill out. I only got a couple of hours of sleep last night. I was feeling pretty exhausted, nauseous and had another migraine, obviously related to the lack of sleep!! I decided that I would try to rest until I had to pick up my younger daughter from school, she had her spare today and was finished at 1:30, well, she actually ended up being finished at about 1:45, because she had a math test and she is not very fast when it comes to tests. So she texted me when she was finished and I went and picked her up. I went back upstairs after picking her up. My hubby picked up my son from school. I drove my daughter to dance, we left at about 4:00. I went to Timmy’s after dropping her off and got my earl grey tea (2 milks, 1 honey) and a muffin. Then I went back to the studio, turned off the van, leaned back the seat and rested until she was finished dancing. Once she came out we drove home. She had supper and the rest of the family had supper. I didn’t really want fajitas, so I had my boring eggs and plain toast! Yippee!! Then my oldest daughter and I made a small grocery list and she gave me her bank card to buy groceries. I went to Sobeys and got the groceries, even though I was still feeling hellish! The second I walked in the door I realized that I forgot his favourite waffles for his breakfast in the morning (not the healthiest thing, but handy in a pinch!!) So I set the bags down and turned around and went back to Sobeys to buy them. Then I came back home. I filled water bottles, let out the dogs and then got my son into bed. I said goodnight to my daughters. Then, as usual, I went on my phone. Now I’m going to get ready for bed.

Partially On The Mend, But Nauseas For The Rest Of My Life…

This morning my hubby was picked up around 4:30am by his friend to go to work at the warehouse. My son woke up at 7:00 and played his game on my phone for about 15 minutes. I woke up still feeling nauseous and with a migraine. However, I’m thrilled to announce that the diarrhea is finally gone!! Then my son and I got ready upstairs and went downstairs. He ate breakfast, then finished the few bracelets that he needed to make for the kids in his class. My daughter’s friend picked her up as usual. I drove my son to school. Then I came back home and had some oatmeal for breakfast. I sat on the couch and watched a few shows on tv for a while. Then at around noon, because my tummy and head were no better, I went upstairs to bed for a few hours. My hubby got home at around 2:45. He picked up the kids from school. Then I drove my daughter to dance. I had to pick her up a sub for supper, because we weren’t thinking and didn’t plan ahead today, like we usually do, so we didn’t have supper for her! I drove back to the studio and went inside and went into the dancers lounge and put her food and her drink into her bag. On my way out of the studio I stopped and talked with a couple of the moms for about 45 minutes to an hour. Then I drove back home. When I finally got home I picked up my son and took him to the Dollarama. He has a favourite necklace that he always wears and the cord on it is starting to wear thin. He got it at school. We were looking to see if we could find the same one or a similar one at Dollarama, but they didn’t have one. We then checked The Dollar Tree, but they also didn’t have it. So, I ended up buying a new cord and clasp, so I can move the beads onto the new cord and add the new clasp, so he doesn’t break and lose it! Afterwards, we went to Sobeys to pick up a couple of things for supper. I’ve had a car wash receipt in my very filthy van for about 6 weeks, but it’s been too cold to get it washed. My son insisted that we get it washed while we were out, because it was finally a really nice day today…plus 5 and all that!! I knew that I would just be driving through a gazillion puddles, but he loves going through the car wash! So, after Sobeys we drove to the Shell and went to the car wash. And, I must admit, my van was extremely dirty. You couldn’t open the hatch without your hands becoming completely covered in grime! Also, since my washer fluid leaks, every time I have to pop the hood to refill the darn fluid, my hands would be ridiculously dirty afterwards because the hood was so muddy. So, yes, the car wash was needed!! Besides, 8 year olds make car washes fun!! Afterwards, we went home. Everyone had supper. I had hard boiled eggs and plain toast again…yummy!! It was getting pretty late by the time I ate…hmmm, that rhymed!! Not intentionally – lol. I watched my son play Just Dance for a bit – yes, can you believe it?! I didn’t go to bed!! Then it was his bedtime. My hubby and him went upstairs to get ready for bed. I helped him get his toothbrush ready (even though he can do it by himself!!) Then I said goodnight to him and I went into the bathroom to get dressed and ready to go, I had to pick up my daughter and her friend from dance. When I came out of the bathroom, my hubby was snoring and my son was still wide awake!! I tucked him in and said goodbye. Then I drove to the city to pick up the girls. My daughter’s teacher, Miss Amanda chose her as dancer of the week this week! Yay! Each week one teacher chooses one dancer that they are proud of, who they believe is working hard, doing a good job and setting a good example, etc. So, congratulations to my girl!! They asked her for a photo to use and this is the one that she sent them:

My beautiful girl!! Anyway, I picked up the girls at 10:00, they danced 15 minutes later today, because the first competition begins next Thursday and the teacher is trying to ensure that they will be ready! Then we drove back to town, dropped off her friend and came home. My daughter was exhausted and we didn’t get home until 10:30, but she still had to finish her essay and share it with her teacher by midnight. Yuck! Also, she has a math test tomorrow! When we got home I did what I always do, I filled up our water bottles and let out the dogs. Then I went upstairs and went on my phone for a while. Now I’m going to get ready for bed.

Mom And Dad’s Again!

This morning my son woke up and went on my phone and went on my phone for for a while. I woke up at 11:11 and made a wish, of course. My dad taught me, when I was a little kid that you can make a wish at 11:11, because it’s the only time when there’s 4 of the same numbers on the clock! Anyway, after a bit my son went downstairs and I stayed in bed for a while. My tummy still wasn’t feeling great. My younger daughter came in and talked with me for a while. After a while I got up and puttered around my room, then I got myself dressed and straightened my hair. I went downstairs and had some oatmeal. Then we all went to my mom and dad’s house. My daughter brought the laptop and went downstairs at my parent’s house and worked on her essay. My hubby went to the grocery store. The rest of us played the card game Five Crowns. When my hubby got back, he and my dad went downstairs to my dad’s workroom to find something. We played a round without my dad. Then they both came upstairs and joined in on the game. We only actually played a few more rounds. Then we got ready for supper. My dad made a veggie tray. We set the table and mashed the potatoes and my mom made gravy. Then my son got my daughter from the basement and we had supper. After eating, I went downstairs and read through my daughter’s essay for her. I only made a couple of changes. Everyone else was upstairs. My son was showing my mom how he makes the rainbow loom bracelets. He’s been making them all weekend, he’s trying to make enough so that he has one for everyone in his class at school, including his teacher and helper-teacher (as he calls her). Then my hubby wanted to go home. He’s back at the warehouse, temporarily, again tomorrow. Still, temporary is definitely better than nothing at all!! So, we got our things together and said goodbye to my parents and drove home. Once we got home, my son had a shower, he’s slowly starting to take showers by himself!! My oldest daughter went to bed, because she works early tomorrow. My younger daughter finished the last paragraph of her essay in the van on the way home and typed it into the laptop when we got here. Then I drove her to her friend’s house. When I got home I filled up water bottles and let out the dogs. Then I got my son into bed. I wrote this. I’m going to go on my phone for a while. Then I am going to get ready for bed.
