Today’s International Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day…Sharry 10!!!!!

Today’s International Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day ‼️‼️ I went crazy with the Teal for TN. Did you??

And now, back to Sharry!!

Jacob powered on Sharry’s desktop and went on Facebook to scroll around and see if there was anything new on the Angel front, seeing as the majority of his fellow guardians, and even some of the Arch’s, were on Facebook now and they were all on high alert for Lucifer.  Jake didn’t need to sleep, but he did need to keep an eye on Sharry, while she slept. He glanced over to her bed where she was lightly snoring. Her red hair was tasseled all over the pillow and her long eyelashes fluttered a bit, as her eyes moved under her closed eyelids. She looked so peaceful when she slept. Truly, he could watch her for hours, but he didn’t want to be creepy and he figured that staring at her all night while she slept probably qualified as creepy. It was a word she had taught him, creepy. He had to admit, she’d taught him so much about humanity and there was so much more to it than he had ever thought, prior to being assigned to guard her. He envied humans right to freewill. He wasn’t so lucky, he had to follow orders.
Jacob had actually been angry when he was pulled out of his prayer time to start guarding Shar. Prayer time is the quiet time that he’s supposed to have, for himself, between assignments. However, he had barely had a break. Looking back now, he wouldn’t have it any other way. He couldn’t imagine being without Sharry. The fact that she was in extreme danger scared him to his core! He would do anything for her. “And now,” he thought, “she’s angry with me and thinks I’ve been lying about my feelings for her!” This was so far from the truth. He wasn’t sure what had made him hold back from telling her about himself and the danger she was in. Maybe he wanted more time for just the two of them. Or perhaps he wanted her to feel safe, he just didn’t want to admit how much danger she was in. If he was being honest, he had wanted her all to himself. And now, he saw that in not telling her, he’d held her back from her training. And she needed as much training as possible, so she’d be ready to face Lucifer, if it ever came down to that. He’d never forgive himself if something happened to her that she could easily get out of, with a bit of training. He sure hoped that Michael, and those working with him, would be able to capture Lucifer long before he ever gets close to Shar. But that wasn’t guaranteed and she needed to be ready, especially after how close he got tonight. Michael and some of their brothers were trying to track Lucifer tonight, which is why Michael had left so abruptly and had given in to Sharry so easily. Normally, Michael would have started her training immediately. The fact that he gave her the weekend was nothing short of a miracle. It was probably because, before tonight, no one had seen Lucifer and they hadn’t been able to track him.  Seeing him tonight was a huge breakthrough. Prior to that, they didn’t even know for sure which of the nephilim he was going to target. He was very sneaky and showing up tonight could always be an attempt at misdirection. They had to act like they were all in danger. None of the nephilim were safe as long as Lucifer was on the lose!

Jacob decided to call Michael to check out how things were going. Yes, Angels used cell phones. They could speak telepathically, of course, but they’d have no guarantees of privacy and even Lucifer could overhear if he focussed hard enough. They’d blocked him, of course, but Lucifer had his ways and it wasn’t worth the risk. So, Jake called Michael,” hey Michael.” He said, “any luck on the Lucifer hunt?” “Damn-it, I wish I had good news.” Michael said, “but we can’t find him anywhere. It’s like he vanished. We had patrols all around the garden the entire time and he somehow managed to elude them all. I wish we knew how he was getting around. It’d make things so much easier. How’s Sharry doing after her, turn your life upside down, night?” “She’s out like a light. She’s angry, confused and mostly exhausted. Thanks for giving her the weekend Michael. I appreciate it.” Jake replied. “Well, with Lucifer this close, we’re going to be going crazy trying to track him. Oh and you can appreciate it all you want, but I did it for her, not you Jake. You’re too close to her, are you sure you can still do your job?” “I’m good Michael,” Jake answered. “Please don’t have me pulled, I’ve got this!” Michael sighed, “okay, for now! But I’m watching you baby brother and the second I think you’re in too deep, you’re getting pulled from the field. So stay on your toes. Don’t miss anything. Lucifer’ a crafty mother-fucker!””Don’t I know it! You’re preaching to the choir man! I won’t let anyone touch a hair on Shar’s pretty little red head!” Jake said. Michael chuckled, “man, you’ve got it bad!” He teased. “I know man, I know…Well, I’ll keep you posted about how Sharry’s doing and, as long as the weekend goes smoothly, we won’t be seeing you until Monday.” “You better be sure it goes smoothly, it’s your ass on the line man! I’ll see you Monday. I’ll call if we get him!” Michael said. “Sure thing. Bye for now.” Jake hung up the phone. He twisted in his chair and watched Shar sleep for a bit. “You’re being creepy, remember Jake,”he said to himself. He turned and went back to the computer to kill time.

TN Awareness Day Is Tomorrow

So, are you getting tired of me just writing my story? I feel like someone’s reading the story to me, in my brain and I’m just as interested to find out what’s going to happen as someone who may be reading it. Well, that is if anyone is actually interested in finding out what’s going to happen. Could just be me I guess. It’s not like I have loads of readers just dying to read each day’s post. I know it’s not the type of story that my mom and dad would really read, so it’s probably not interesting to them. I’m not sure about Jo, if she’s interested or not. For some strange reason I just feel like I have to write it. So, that’s what I’m going to do. I’m following my gut on this one. It just feels like it’s a story I’m meant to write, so I am. Hopefully I’m not boring the pants off of anyone reading this. I don’t have much else going on right now to write about. My hubby’s out of town again. My oldest daughter is waiting for her federal security clearance to go through, so she can start training at the airport to be a preboard screener. My little man is getting used to going to school. He’s still not a huge fan of how often he has to be there, but he’s doing well and adjusting. And my middle daughter is dancing away, as per usual. She’s been sick this week, which always sucks. Tomorrow is International Trigeminal Neuralgia Awareness Day, so my oldest dyed the ends of my hair Teal for me this evening. I’ll add a picture at the bottom of this post. Tomorrow evening we’re going downtown, where they’ll be lighting up the high level bridge in Teal lights for TN awareness. That’s about everything. I’ve been blanking on what else to write about. My brain keeps going back to Sharry…

Well, I was going to write another Sharry paragraph or two, but I fell asleep. That’s a pretty good sign that I should skip my story for the night and head to bed. Night all😴😴

Sharry 9

I’m sorry that all I’ve been writing is my story. It just is drawing me to the iPad and it’s pulling me in. I hope you’re enjoying it. If not, I apologize. It’s just been in my head. I think I can really make a book out of this! It may be a shot in the dark, but as long as my brain is telling me to write this, I’m going to write it. Sorry to my readers who aren’t really into these kind of stories, it’s all I got right now and it needs to be wrtten. But, tonight I’m too tired to write much of anything. Maybe one paragraph, but that’s it..

“Okay, just stand beside me. Actually, wait a sec’.” Jake said. There are only two ways to enter or leave the Eve garden.” “The what?? Is this the garden of eve??!” Said a shocked Sharry. However, Jake didn’t answer her. He just said,”We can either fly out of here or we can jump-start to wherever we want to go. Flying is beautiful at this time of night, it’s my favourite time to fly. But you are exhausted and jump-starting will take us directly there.  It’s definitely the non-scenic route!!” “Oh Jake. Flying at night with you sounds amazing and beautiful and I hope we can do it together soon. But I’m still angry and confused by everything I’ve learned tonight. You still lied to me, and a big one at that! But mainly, I’m just really really tired and I just want go home and crash.” “Okay then, jump-starting it is!! Now stand in front of me and take my hands. Then just close your eyes and please, despite being angry with me, I need you to try very hard to trust me.”He said. “Okay, close your eyes. Here goes.” Sharry felt woozy all of a sudden and pretty dizzy. Then Jake said, “And here we are.” Sharry hugged Jake and he gently picked her up and lay her on her bed. “Don’t worry. I’ll be quiet, I won’t say a word. Your mother won’t know I’m here.” He said, Sharry looked over at him from the bed, her jaw hanging open, “what are you talking about? You can’t spend the night here! My mom will flip-out!!.” “Your mom will never know I’m here and with Lucifer looking for you and getting as close as he did today. Well, I, I’d never forgive myself if something happened to you Shar. Also, it’s not exactly the first time I’m spending the night in your room.” Jake said. “What? What are you talking about it’s not your first time!!?” Sharry said, feeling totally vulnerable and somewhat freaked out. “I’m your guardian Sharry. It’s my job. I promise I’ve never done anything inappropriate!” “Fine. Whatever. I’m too tired to care.”Sharry told him. She went into her bathroom. 10 minutes later she came out wearing snoopy pj’s, her face scrubbed clean. She climbed into bed and was asleep Instantly.” Jake gave her a small kiss on her cheek, then sat down in her computer chair.

Sharry 5

“Damn it!” Sharry thought to herself , ” I’m not going to cry again,” but, of course, she felt the tears coming. “How could you lie to me Jake? About something so huge!! I trusted you.” Now she was sobbing and she didn’t even care anymore.  “I’m sorry babe!” Jake said. “I didn’t know how to tell you.” Sharry let him hold her while she cried. Michael was quiet for a while, then sighed and cleared his throat to get their attention. Sharry looked from him to Jake and back. “So, Guardian Angels and Arch Angels. Kind of hard to wrap your head around.” She said through her sniffling, “what else is out there that I haven’t been told about?” “Oh, just Lucifer.” Michael replied drolly. “Ah Michael! Don’t tell her that!” Jake said. “Lucifer? As in, The Lucifer?? Like the devil – Lucifer??” Sharry asked with wide eyes. “Our fallen brother, Lucifer, yes.” Jake said with a sigh. Sharry looked at Jake, wiping her eyes. “When were you planning on telling me all of this Jake? Or were you ever going to? All this time, you acted like you liked me, loved me even! Why Jake?? To lead me on? Keep me close? When were you going to let me in on the truth??” Sharry asked angrily! ” Aww Shar’ Bear! It wasn’t like that! Sure, at first my job was to keep an eye on you and keep you safe. However, once I got to know you and spend time with you…Oh Shar’ I fell in love with you! That’s God’s honest truth and, just so you know, I can’t lie when using our Lords name.” Jake said. “Well, how strange that must feel to you, considering how good you are at lying!!” Sharry replied angrily.

“Well, as amusing as your little lovers quarrel is to watch, we need to move on to bigger and more important things. Like Lucifer and the prophecy!” Michael said impatiently. “Okay, fine” Sharry said. “What is this prophecy all about and what in hell – oops, sorry guys- Uh, I mean, what in the world does it have to do with me?? I’m not an Angel or anything special.” “Actually, you’re very special Sharry,”said Michael. “The prophecy goes something like this:  On the night of the summer solstice, gather and burn these things there, the blood of a female nephilim,  along with a lock of her hair, add the milk for a newborn, a feather from an Angel’s wing and Lucifer’s blood combine in order chant the Lucifer rising spell as the objects are brought to boil and he may rise again, to conquer heaven and earth enslave.” “That’s not right,” Jake interrupted. “It’s supposed to rhyme Mikeyl!” “Well it’s something like that!” Michael yelled back. “And don’t call me Mikey!! So sorry if I didn’t memorize it word for word!! You get the gist right?? Lucifer wants Sharry’s blood!!” Michael yelled back. “Okay! Okay!” Sharry said. “Cool it guys!  So, ya, it’s a weird, scary prophecy thing and all, I get it, but why do you need me?? None of this has anything to do with me!! Why does he want my blood?? I don’t understand.” Sharry said.

How is this everyone? Are you enjoying my story? Should I continue??? Opinions please!!

Sharry 8

“Was that who I think it was,” Sharry asked. She was shaking and her skin was as white as a sheet. She felt her knees begin to give out, just as Jake caught her from behind, and she passed out. Jake glared at Michael, “good going Mikey…this is all your fault!” “DON’T call me Mikey!! And my fault?! How in the world is this my fault??!”Michael yelled back. “How is it your fault?? Do you really need to ask me that?? Jump-starting Sharry from her office to, I don’t know, what forest were you in?? You ran into hellhounds, so which one was it Mikey, the forests of Lebanon knowing you. So safe. Just a great place to whisk her off to, so she could get attacked by hellhounds and then…” Suddenly Michael yelled, “ENOUGH!!  Remember your place Jacob!!”

He rose from where he had been crouching by Sharry to his full height and his magnificent wings were raised and poised as if he was about to strike, his dark eyes began to fill with a pale blue light, that moved from his eyes into his face and down throughout his entire body, he pulled out a sleek sword that appeared to glow just like he was, like an extension from his hand…” “Brother, I’m sorry,” Jake said, “please don’t …” he was interrupted by a shriek of pure terror from Sharry. Her eyes were wide and she was staring at Michael in horror. “Close your eyes!!” Jake yelled, putting his hand over her eyes. “You can’t look at him!!” He said, “it could burn your eyes out and blind you!” And he pulled her against his chest.  While Jake was comforting Sharry, Michael returned to the form in which he had originally appeared. “Sharry…” he said, almost pleading. However she interrupted, the fear still evident on her face she scrambled backwards and away from him and clung to Jake. “Stay away from me!” Sharry said meekly. Then she looked back at Jake and said,  “I just want to go home Jake. I need to go home.” Jake looked over at his brother, who slowly nodded, then said, “Sharry, I know – just hear me out,” he said as she tried to interrupt again. “Sharry,” he repeated, “I’m so sorry you had to see me like that. You probably weren’t ready yet. You’re lucky I didn’t fully transform, because..” “It, I mean you, weren’t even finished changing? It actually gets scarier than that?” Sharry interrupted, again. “Yes,” Michael replied, “Much much scarier, I’m afraid. But, you shouldn’t have had to see that on your first night to all of this. With Lucifer showing up and me being an ass, well, I’d say you’ve had quite the bad initiation to our world.” He chuckled sadly.

“Sharry. I know you don’t like me very much and that you’re probably a bit scared of me too, but we have to get moving on your abilities testing and training ASAP. So, I’ll give you the weekend, but we start your training on Monday morning, 7am sharp!” Sharry looked at him, irked. “I kind of have a job that I need to be at, do you just expect me to drop everything and start this so called training of yours??” She asked. “Yes. You will drop everything. As a matter of a fact, you already have. You’re on a 6 month sabbatical beginning now. Don’t worry, all of your regular duties and activities have been taken care of.” “Don’t worry?!” She howled, “Don’t worry?! You just walk into my life and take over completely and just expect me to go along with it and not worry?! I love my job! As a matter of fact I love my life. You can’t just hijack me and expect me to fall in place like an obedient little puppy!!” “Yes, I can and yes, you should be obedient. Thank you. I’m glad you agree. I need you to if we’re going to stop the prophecy, save heaven and earth and keep you alive. See you Monday morning,” Michael said. Then poof, he was gone. “But, wait…what…that’s not what I was saying – well, oh never mind.” Sharry drooped, she was so exhausted, she just wanted to go home. “Oh, wait! Where Monday morning?” She yelled at the empty space where Michael had been only moments before. “Don’t worry Shar. I’ll get you there.” Jake said softly.

Sharry 7

“Ne-phi-lim…huh.  Ya, I get the idea, you don’t have to draw me a diagram or anything!! Angel dad plus human mom equals freak me!!” Sharry scowled. “An excellent job at hiding it!!!”Sharri yelled. “Good God…” both of them cut her off with their stares. “Sorry. Forgot about the whole God’s your daddy thing! So, uh, goodness gracious!! That’s the understatement of the year…I wonder what else has she hidden from me?? Looks like mom and I need to have a little heart to heart…Well, who is this Angel that you say is my father? Do you know him? Is he an ass like you Michael, you know, the kind of Angel who flies a girl up into the sky and then threatens to drop her!? Is he that kind of Angel?? Is he…” “Wait what??!” Jake interrupted, “you flew with Sharry?! Then you were going to drop her??!!” Sharry could see a storm brewing behind Jake’s eyes. “You know her first flight is supposed to be with her guardian Michael!!” “Yah right! Her guardian was a bit busy sleeping with his charge now wasn’t he??” Before they could say or do anything scary, she quickly changed the subject back to her dad again. “So, how, exactly do you know all of this? Did my dad tell you I’m his half-breed niphilim whatever?” Michael said, “Halfling honey, not halfbreed. And, we know all of the nephilim. They are all assigned a personal guardian who has to get close to them, by appearing in the human form. Good ol’ Jacob here is yours.”  “Oh, and for the record I flew with Sharry to save her from the hellhounds that had surrounded us and I would never actually drop her!” “To save me from the what??” Sharry sighed, “hellhounds??? I thought they were just big wolves! That’s great, just great. This just keeps getting better and better!” “Wait a minute,” Michael said in shock. “You could actually see the hellhounds??” Michael and Jake said in unison, both of them staring at her in shock. “Uh, yah!” Sharry replied. “You were there Michael, we were surrounded, one was about to pounce on me, remember??” “Of course I remember.” Michael answered, “but humans aren’t supposed to be able to see hellhounds!” I mean not at all!” “Well,” Said Jake, “I guess we know one of your powers now.” Sharry just looked at them blankly. She felt confused, scared, angry and just plain overwhelmed. “Powers…now I’m some sort of super-powered half person!! Huh. Well, I can see you guys. Is that normal?” She asked. “You can see us only if we want you to. See,” Jake said and then he disappeared. However, Sharry was able to see a faint outline of his body. She walked up to him and put her arms around him and asked, “can I please just go home now?? This is all too much. I’m tired and I need time to think all of this through, to clear my head.” “Can you still see me??” Jake asked.

Before Sharry could even reply Jake suddenly grabbed her and pulled her behind some bushes, and just as quickly, Michael made himself disappear. Sharry was about to talk when Jacob put his hand over her mouth and pointed.  Just beyond the edge of the garden, was a man carrying a handful of, what seemed to be, dog leashes. He was causally walking along the perimeter of the garden. Almost as if there was a sheet of crystal clear glass surrounding the garden that he couldn’t pass through. He looked angry. He had eyes so dark they were as black as night, his hair was so black it almost turned blue when the light hit it. He was tall and beefy, crazy built, with broad shoulders and, “wait, what??” Sharry thought. “Did his eyes just look red??” He was getting closer to their hiding spot and he stopped just at the edge, right by them. He put his nose in the air and inhaled deeply. Even though she was completely hidden, Sharry instinctually felt fear. It was a deep rooted fear and she felt like he was looking into her very soul. Suddenly he spoke, “Oh Sharry?? I know you’re out there love. I can smell that blood of yours, pumping through your veins, the blood of my little nephilim. I just can’t wait until we meet darling. We’re going to get along famously!! Me, you, your blood and your lovely red locks of hair. I just can’t wait to cut into you. If you come now, I won’t even kill you. I just need some blood, but it doesn’t have to mean death for you…” Sharry was doing everything in her power not to say something back to this arrogant prick! She almost considered his offer, but Jake shook his head and mouthed, “he’s lying!” Soon the man, who by now Sharry had figured out must be Lucifer whistled and, instead of dogs the wolves-or rather hellhounds raced toward him.  They were nearly as big as he was, their backs level with his shoulders. They were slobbering and crying and competing for his attention. He petted everyone of them, attached them to the leashes and strolled away, like he was just out taking a nice little walk. Not, you know, wanting to rip Sharry apart! None of them moved until he was completely out of sight.

Sharry 6

“Nothing to do with you??” Michael chuckled and looked at Jake. “You truly didn’t tell her a thing, did you?!” “Well, Sharry your role is centre stage. Sorry to say, but there really aren’t that many halflings out there. And, Lucifer already has his eyes set on you!!”  “What??!!” Sharry shrieked, “The Lucifer has his eyes on me??! Why?! And what in the world is a halfling anyway? And, whatever it is, why do you think I’m one?? I’m not half anything.” “Tell me all you know about your dad,”Michael said. “Um…my dad? Why? What does he have to do with all of this?” Sharry asked. “Just answer the question please Sharry.” “Fine!” She said, “it won’t take me very long. I don’t know my father at all and my mom won’t tell me a thing. But, she did show me a photo of him. She said that if I ever see him, to turn and run away and that he’s dangerous.” “That’s it?” Michael asked. “Well, sugar, you’re about to learn more about him than you ever have!”

“Wait,”Sharry interrupted, ” you know who my dad is?? I’ve wanted to know more about him, but…I never really knew where to start. With just one photo, I never really had much to go on.And, my mom would tell me nothing. She refused to ever talk about him and would get pretty mad whenever I brought it up.” Michael grinned, he was about to say something when Jake spoke up. “Let me tell her Michael. Please. I think she’s had a rough, crazy, difficult night and she doesn’t need to hear it from mister attitude!” “Hey! I don’t have an attitude. I’m hurt!!” Michael said, feigning shock. “Give it a rest Mickey.” Jake said. He patted the grass beside him for Sharry to join him. “Tell me what? What do you know about my father??” She insisted. Jake sighed and then began talking, “Sharry, hon, your dad is an Angel; which makes you one of the nephilim.” Sharry started to laugh, at first quietly and then hysterically. “My dad is an Angel? You’re out of your mind!!” She said to Jake, she looked over at Michael, who just nodded. “My father is an Angel” she repeated incredulously. “How is that even possible?? Angels and people can, you know, get together? This makes me one of what?? I’ve never even heard of the nefi – nefili – the whatever you said before!! Is this common? How do you even meet an Angel? Is there like  a special Angel hang out or what?! This is crazy! So so crazy! Does my mom know about this??” Jake shrugged, “We’re not sure. If she does, she’s done an excellent job at acting normal and hiding the fact. Oh, and the word is nephilim. These are the offspring of an Angel father with a human woman.”

My Head’s Not Working

Here’s Sunday’s post. So weird. It didn’t publish for some reason. So strange…

Today has been rough. My face is being pierced by an ice pick that is “live” with electrical current. It’s like, stab-shock, stab-shock, stab-shock over and over again! It just isn’t fun😥 It really sucks actually. I guess I should have some of my medicinal pot. It does work for my pain.  It’s just not as easy as popping a pill. Although, it’s probably better for me than some of those medications I used to be on anyway. I’m just sweating and my tummy hurts, so I don’t really feel like going upstairs and doing the whole vaping thingy right now. Sorry for being so winy 😫 I’m just having one of those days.
I haven’t been writing much the past few days. I’ve had my Angel (still not sure if I’m supposed to capitalize that or not) story on my mind. I don’t really have anything else to talk about. I feel like the story isn’t something I’ve been writing myself. It’s more like I’m being told the story. It just seems to flow out of me. It actually comes too fast. I end up re-reading what I’ve written the next day and correcting and adding to it. It’s like I can’t keep up with the words, so I try to write quickly and end up missing words or punctuation or both. It sounds better the second day, once I’ve read it over and corrected it. I’m not sure where the story’s coming from or where it’s going or even if I’m going to keep writing it on my blog or if I’m going to put it all together and begin writing it all together. I’m not even sure if it’s any good. It is just what I’ve felt like writing. I’ve had the idea of writing an Angel story for quite a while. I just didn’t know where it was going or exactly what it would be about. I wanted a couple good Angels and then a dark or fallen Angel that they have to defeat or get away from or something along those lines. I’m not sure. My head’s not working today. I need to get ready for bed. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

Sharry 4

“You’re a what??!!” Sharry said, her mouth hanging open. “An Angel. I’m an Arch Angel.” He said impatiently, as if she should already know this. “Ha! Right!” Sharry laughed, “Hey! Look at me, I’m flying in the arms of an Angel!” “Hey, wasn’t that a song?!” She was laughing hysterically now, “In the arms of an Angel…” she sang out!  She thought that maybe she was losing it. “Can you just fly on over to the nearest mental hospital?” She said. “I think I’m losing my mind!!” He, or rather, Michael, sighed and looked at her sympathetically,”I know it’s probably a lot to take in. I also probably didn’t introduce myself in the nicest way…” “You think??” Sharry interrupted,”Not the nicest way!!! A bit of an understatement, wouldn’t you say!! You were a dick!! Michael, a real jerk actually!! Tonight and back when you were Mr Nightmare! Nice way to bond with a child!!” His eyes turned dark as he looked down at her. “You know, I could just drop you right now!” Michael yelled. “Whoa…quite the temper you have! Are all Angels asses? Or is it just you??” Sharry said while smirking.  He scowled down at her. “You have quite the mouth on you Sharry. You’re so going to be a pain in my ass!!” He remarked. “A pain in your ass! Me! I’m the pain??!!” She shrieked! “I’m not the one who transported me from my office to a creepy, mysterious, wolf ridden forest!” Sharry was shaking with anger. “No! That’s on you!! All of this…this…whatever this is, it’s all. Because. Of. You!!!” Suddenly Sharry felt completely overwhelmed by everything that had happened! Sharry felt tears coming to her eyes.”Oh no!”she thought. “I’m not going to cry in front of this jerk!” But it was too late. The tears had already started coming. He looked at her and his eyes immediately softened. “I’m sorry Sharry.” He said. “You’re right!” “I was an ass.” “Don’t cry, please don’t cry.” “I’m going to get us somewhere safe, so we can talk. Just hang on!” He said as he flew lower and lower, until they landed by a pond, surrounded by beautiful flowers, more flowers than she had ever seen in one place.

Sharry looked around in awe. She was no botanist, but she was pretty sure that every flower she had ever seen or heard of was there, in this beautiful, exquisite garden. There were so many colours and smells. She just stood quietly, taking it all in, while trying to calm down and stop crying. She had no idea what time it was. Jake must be worried sick! “What is this place? It’s so beautiful and lovely.”Sharry asked. “It’s so magnificent that it almost seems fake! This many flowers all blooming at the same time. Not a twig or stem out of place! Kudos to your gardener!” Sharry walked over to a beautiful, ornate, white bench and sat down. She gestured to Michael to come sit with her, but had no idea how he’d manage it with those wings of his. He tucked them behind himself and somehow, easily managed to fit. “So…”Sharry said. “What is going on? I deserve to know why you spirited me from my office, to a strange forest, where we were nearly wolf meat! Then you say you can fly and suddenly, it’s up up and away!!”

Michael sighed, but slowly nodded his head. “You’re right. You do need to know what’s happening.” “You believe me? You understand that I’m an Arch Angel right?” Michael asked. “Sure Mike or maybe, Mikey! Which do you like better?” She asked. Michael scowled, “I like Michael .” “Okay! Don’t get bent out of shape or anything. I was only joking…do you smile, ever??” As she asked him, she remembered his horrific laugh and what it had done to her ear-drum. “On second thought, serious is good! There’s no need to smile or laugh.” She said putting her hand up to her throbbing ear. Michael grinned. “Sure, thinking about my pain makes you smile. Of course! Just great!”Sharry said. “So”, she said. “Why in the world would an Arch Angel need to be in my childhood dreams and here now? Why me?” “Because of the prophecy of course,” Michael said. “What prophecy? What are you talking about??” Sharry asked him. “You really don’t know?” He asked. “Didn’t pretty boy Jake tell you all about it? Let me know what he’s told you and I’ll fill in the blanks.” “Jake?” She said, “my Jake?” “What in the world makes you think that Jake would know anything about some Angel prophecy thing??!” “Because,” he replied, “he’s your Guardian.”

“My what?!” Sharry responded. “Your Guardian.” He said again. “Because Jake’s your Guardian Angel!” Michael looked at the shock on Sharry’s face. “You really didn’t know?? You’re kidding me?! He hasn’t told you about the prophecy? You can’t be serious! No wonder you’re freaking out! I’m really the first Angel you’ve met??” Sharry looked away. “Jake’s my guardian Angel?” She thought, “what the hell!!” “No!” Sharry said, “I don’t believe you!” “Believe it or not, it’s the truth.” He said. “Just a minute.” He said. “We should get ol’Jakey boy to come join us.” “Just let me call him.” “I’ll be needing to talk to him anyways, all about him shirking his duties and I just can’t believe that he hasn’t told you anything yet!””You should be far into your training by now!” “My what??!” Sharry asked. But he didn’t answer her. Sharry looked over at him, expecting him to use his cell phone, but nope,  he asked her to cover her ears, because he was about to use his Angel voice, whatever that means! Sharry quickly did as he asked, if his true voice was anything like his laughter, she sure didn’t want to hurt both ears in he same night!  He did his weird high pitch thing and just as Sharry was about to make a joke about how effective his way of calling was, she heard a sound behind her and sure enough, it was Jake. “Jake!!” She yelled, “you came. You understood what he was saying? It’s true? You’re an, an Angel??!” She was feeling so hurt and angry. Talk about the biggest lie ever!! “How come you didn’t tell me?” Sharry asked.  “Jake? I thought you loved me, but you’re just here because you’re my Guardian??” Jake took her hands, “No no!” Jake pleaded. “I wanted to tell you, but never found the right time. I do love you Sharry. More than you can imagine!” He said. “Sharry, what we have is real. That’s part of the reason I didn’t want to tell you. I was afraid I’d lose you and I can’t imagine my life without you.” Michael snorted derivatively at Jake’s last comment. “Damn it!” Sharry thought to herself , ” I’m not going to cry again,” but, of course, she felt the tears coming. “How could you lie like this to me Jake? About something so huge!!  I trusted you.” Now she was sobbing and she didn’t even care anymore. “So, Guardian Angels and Arch Angels.  Kind of hard to wrap your head around.” She said through her sniffling, “what else is out there that I haven’t been told about?”

Sharry 3

“Get away from you?” He snorted, “Oh Sharry, you’re hurting my feelings!” “He knows my name,” Sharry thought, he’d said it earlier too. “How the hell do you know my name?”Sharry asked. “Who are you, what do you want with me?” “Was it you? Did you bring me to this weird forest place?” “Questions questions questions…so many questions.”he sneered. “I’m surprised you don’t recognize my voice, Sharry. But, I suppose, it has been a long long time. Back then I’d only visit your dreams. I’m your very own Mr Nightmare Sharry…BOO!!” He threw his head back and laughed with that horrific sound again.

“W-Wh-what, n-n-no! You were only just a dream! Mr Nightmare isn’t real,”Sharry remarked frantically. Well, my dad said he wasn’t real. Could it really be…? No. That’s crazy! “You can’t be real. You don’t exist. They told me I was wrong. That you didn’t climb through the window and into my dreams. I only imagined it in my sleep. You were, or rather, Mr Nightmare was just that, a nightmare!! He wasn’t real!”she yelled as she tried to wiggle out of his awkward embrace. “Sorry to disappoint babe, but I’m not just a nightmare, I was Mr Nightmare to you. I thought it would be the best way to meet you. But you were scared of me and I turned into your Mr Nightmare. But that nickname isn’t very flattering Sharry. I’m not all bad. But don’t doubt it, it is me. Oh I’m real Sharry, I’m alive and kicking and flying.” He laughed sardonically. “What, wait, did you just say flying?” Sharry asked incredulously.” You’re crazy! You can’t fly!!” “Oh, no?” He said, “watch me!” He pushed her out of his arms, took off his trench coat and suddenly the scariest and yet the most beautiful thing she’d ever seen appeared before her. He had jet black wings that matched his hair. The span of his wings had to be at least 5 feet per wing. The wings shone in the moonlight and reflected it back like dark ripples on an evening stream. They were magnificent.

Stumbling over her words, all she could get out was, “Wow!” “Pretty sweet, right.”He said. “Now about that flying thing…”He was unable to finish his sentence, as he was cut off by a low deep growl, Sharry slowly turned around to see a wolf, no, make that a whole pack of wolves surrounding her and, and, the flying man, nightmare guy. They were  baring their teeth and growling low in their throats. Sharry instinctively knew that these wolves were about to attack. The next thing seemed to happened in slow motion. The lead wolf jumped into the air, flying straight towards her and in that exact same moment she felt someone’s arms wrap around her and, before she could even get her scream out, she realized that she was going up, up, up, so quickly she nearly threw-up!! The winged man was holding her tight against him. She didn’t dare look down. She wasn’t quite a fan of heights. But, in that moment she, strangely, felt safe with this bird man. “Hey, bird dude, what’s your name anyway?” Sharry asked. He sighed, “I’m Michael,” he said, “and I’m not a bird dude, I’m an Angel, an Arch Angel actually…”
