Still Sweating!!

So far, the pills that Dr Hauptman gave me, to help with my sweating issue, aren't helping at all!! I'm still gross! I'm only at half a pill until one week and then I go up to the full dose. So, hopefully the full dose helps. If not, he said there are other medications and he'd start me on one before I leave for BC. I still have my fingers crossed that these will work, but so far I've noticed no change whatsoever. It's good to know that there are other options and it's not just this or nothing!!

I worked on my project some more this morning. It's starting to look good, I think I'm going to like it! Once my oldest came home from work, we watched the second Descendants movie. It's a Disney channel movie. It aired last nights and the girls PVR'd it, since my oldest had to go to bed early, because of work. The first one came out last summer, I'm pretty sure. It's a fun concept. It's about the children of classic Disney movie heroes, princesses and villains. The villains have all been captured and contained on an island to live out there lives. But the new young prince (the son of Belle and the Beast) convinces his parents that the children on the island deserve a chance. He believes that they don't deserve to be punished for the actions of their parents. So, as a trial, he picks four of the children to come off the island and go to the fancy boarding school that he attends. So, the daughter of the wicked queen (from Sleeping Beauty), and three other villains children are taken off the island and brought to the school. The story goes from there. It's about fitting in, finding yourself and becoming an individual and not being defined by your family, but by who you are etc etc. Of course there's a love story, etc. The new one starts not long after the old one ends and tackles the same topics. It was fun. There's singing and dancing and it's good, fun family entertainment. My oldest just finished reading three books that go with the movie. The first one is supposed to be read first, then the first movie comes next, then the next two books and, finally, the new movie that we watched this afternoon. She said the books are really good and fun to read.

After we watched the movie, we went to my mom and dad's house for supper. My son wasn't even with us. He went with his friend and friend's family to K Days. My mom and dad live in a condo complex for adults only. Their condo backs onto a path and Millcreek. My uncle and aunt, (my mom's brother and his wife) moved into one of the condos in the same complex just a week or two ago. They're trying really hard to get settled, but it's a lot of work and neither of them are in the best of shape right now – they both have injured backs, which makes moving and unpacking, etc. very difficult. This afternoon my aunt called my mom to see if my dad could help them move a shelf, but my dad just hurt his back the other day. So we all went over to pop in and see their new place and, while there, my hubby moved the shelf with my oldest daughter for my uncle. My dad had to make some wedges to go under the corners of the shelf to keep it from tilting forward. They also secured it to the wall. So it shouldn't be going anywhere any time soon!!! Once we got back, my mom prepared supper and my dad BBQ'd it once it was ready to go on. We had steak, potatoes, sweet potatoes, beets, bread and fried mushrooms. It was very good!! After supper, we went into the basement and watched the dances that my daughter was in from the year end show. Afterwards, we went home.

I'm Beaumont we picked up my prescription and we picked our son up. Then we came home. My son and hubby briefly played a video game, so I worked on my project for a while. Then I briefly played with my son, got our water bottles filled and voila!! Here we are!!! I'm driving off to sleep as I write this, so I'm going to stop writing now and get some sleep. Night All! 💤😴

Working Hard!!

Today I worked for hours on the project that I'm working on. The one I'm not going to talk about on here, because I don't want to ruin anything. That probably doesn't mean much, but when the time comes, I'll take a photo of the finished product and put it on here to show you. Although, it has my kids names on it and I've never said their names on here! Hmmm…I will have to figure something out!! I could just describe it…this gives me something to ponder. I don't think saying there names would be a huge deal, because I'm pretty sure that all of the people who read this know my family, so it's not exactly big news or anything!! Well, anyway, I worked on it almost all day! This morning, when I first got up, I played a couple of iPad games with my son on the bed. However, as soon as we got up, I started working on it and I continued to do so until we had to go to camp, we left at about 6:00, to pick up my daughter. My son played a video game with my hubby and then went and played at a friend's house for a few hours. That's why I had so much free time to work on my project. (I just about said what it was!!! I have to watch myself!)

We didn't get supper ready on time, and then we had to leave to go get my daughter from camp, right at supper time! So, we were all starving while driving there, it's about an hour drive, with no where to stop on the way!! So, we picked her up and by the time we were driving home, we were sooo hungry!! We ended up picking something up in Leduc, but it was a pretty late and unhealthy supper!

My daughter had a great week at camp! She had sooo much fun! She actually said that this was her best week at camp ever!! She has been going to Camp Wohelo since she was about 10months old and I took her to mom and kids camps!! Then she went to all girls camp and many others, more recently, she's been doing the teen leadership camp for the past few years. She told them her availability for the rest of the summer. She will be going back to be an LIT (leader in training) for 2 more camps this summer. She could've done more, but she told them that she can't this week, because there's a going away party for a friend that she doesn't want to miss. Then we'll be gone for a week or so in August and there are no camps the lady couple weeks of August, because they rent the camp out privately. So, with when she's available, she's going to be there. She was already missing people and saying she wants to go back sooner, before we even got home. She was also saying how bored she's going to be. But, she's the one who said that she couldn't go this week, because of the party. That was her choice!

When we got home, my oldest was just getting ready to shower and go to bed. She had a rough day at work. So she wasn't in the best spirits today. Hopefully tomorrow is okay or at least better at work for her. My hubby and my son decided to play another video game. So, I got back to work on my project. All I know is it's going to take hours and I'd really like to have it finished before I go to BC, in two weeks from today! On the expensive train, because of the mistake that I made when booking it. I'm super excited about the train, I just wish I had purchased the economy escape ticket. If the stupid bank had let the payment go through the first two times that I tried booking it, I would have gotten the right price!! But the dumb arse bank thought it was fraud, because I've never purchased a train ticket before! I tried again, right after talking to the bank and that is when I ended up spending the $300, instead of the $188 plus GST!! Too frustrating!! That's $100 difference!! A lot can be done with $100, like I could eat on the train, with money to spare!! I better enjoy myself, for that much money, I could've flown for less and been there in 1hour – the train leaves at 7:30am and arrives at 11:00pm!!! That's 15.5 hours! That's probably BC time, the 11:00pm. I would think so. I have a lot to do still to get ready and my parents said that they'll take my art stuff with them ahead of time, so that I don't have to travel with it. That is good, because some of it is awkward to carry. Although, I am allowed 2 checked bags. The problem is, my mom and dad are leaving Monday and none of my watercolour stuff is together yet. We're going to their house for dinner tomorrow, I'm going to try to get it all together beforehand. Hopefully I can. Otherwise, I may have to drive it over to their house on Sunday. If some of the things that I need overlap with what I'm using for this project, I'll just bring those with me. It should only be a couple things that will need to stay until I'm finished my project. Most of the watercolour stuff can go with my mom and dad. Tomorrow will be busy!! So, on that note, I should get some sleep. Night All! 💤😴

Supply Shopping To Show Watching

This morning my son had a birthday party at Gateway Lanes to go to. They played laser tag. While he was at the party, I had a couple of hours to kill. I decided to go to Michaels to get the rest of the supplies for my watercolour class. I found everything that I needed. I'm not sure about the quality, but I should be fine. I know it's more of a craft store than an art store, but it does have a couple of isles devoted to painting and drawing. It was enough for what I needed!! I already have a bunch of things at home and I already bought the few things I talked about the other day. Today I got one more paint brush, the angle brush or dagger. I searched it and they seemed to be the same thing. Hopefully that's true, so that I have the correct brush!! I already have a good, expensive round brush and the brush for doing the wash. I have some others, but I have the three good ones now. I also bought another sketch book – only because it's beautiful, not because I needed another one, lol! There's a picture of a beautiful watercolour tree on the front and I fell in love with it. I bought the masking tape, a new eraser, a cool eraser guard thingy for the thing I'm currently working on, (I've already used it!!) it is super thin and if you need to erase a tiny spot, it has different shaped slots cut out that you can erase through without accidentally erasing too much or the wrong thing!! I got the basic white wax crayon, that was easy, as my son has a gazillion crayons, it's even a trustable!! I got the specific permanent black, India ink mark .05 tip. I think that was everything. I feel like I'm forgetting something. She's supplying the paper and you can always use her tools if you don't have something. There's also an art store in SalmonArm where I've bought last minute things before. I'm sure I'll be fine though. I probably have more than enough!!

Once I was finished at Michael's, I went to Old Navy. I tried on a dress that I really liked, but I was looking for another pair of shorts, preferably denim shorts!! I didn't find any shorts that fit right, their selection was diminished. I did find a pair of jeans that fit, they were even on sale for $17.99. I figured I could buy the jeans and cut them into shorts!!

Following Old Navy, I drive back to Gateway and popped into Dots when I got there, because I was early. I didn't actually think I'd find anything, but I found a pretty tank with a navy and white print in it, for only $9.99. So, I bought that too!! Then I went inside Gateway Lanes to pick up my son. I arrived just as they were about to come upstairs!! Perfect timing!! He had lots of fun playing laser tag!! He wanted to stay and play longer or go bowling or something, but I didn't really few like it. So we drove home from there.

Once we were home, I was starving!! So I had something to eat. Then I searched through a pile of medical receipts. I remembered that my hubby accidentally moved one where we were supposed to get $100 back if we mailed it in. We need it now, with the cost of the train!! So I found it. I just have to fill out the form and mail it away and usually within a week, we get the money deposited into the account. At least it should be here by the time we go on our trip!! Every little bit helps. My

Hubby is freaking out about money. Now he said he found the leak (something has been leaking in our laundry room) he thinks it's the hot water tank. Not good!! We need to figure it out and it's not something we can afford right when we're going to BC in two weeks!! Argh!!

I cut my jeans into shorts and I sat fraying the ends while my oldest and I watched the final two episodes of the series we've been obsessed with!! And, just like that, it's over!! There was a big big twist at the end…something you couldn't have predicted at all!! Crazy who AD actually is!! That's all I'm saying. I'd hate to ruin it for anyone!

I got the kids Rotten Ronnies (as my hubby calls McDonalds) for supper. I had a salad from Sobeys. After supper, my son and I played Guess Who for a while. Then he played a video game with my hubby, while I worked on the thing that I'm not talking about on here, so I don't ruin any surprises! And, after that… bed time, here we are!! On that note, as my eyes drift shut, I think I'll stop for the night!

Night All! 💤😴

Train Mistake!!

There was an update on the WordPress app. I don't know what's changed. It said that there's a new editor. I'm not sure what that means…I guess I'll see if anything, either than the font size, is different. Backspace isn't going to change, so it doesn't save me from falling asleep and accidentally backspacing over what I've written. I wish that even if you accidentally backspace, your last save still had the things you typed. Then I'd just save more often, so if I do the damn backspacing bullshit, whatever I accidentally got rid of is actually saved. It would make sense. If I delete this sentence, but had already saved it prior to accidentally deleting it, as long as I don't do a new save of those changes, the sentence should be there. That wasn't very clear, so hopefully you understand what I mean. I'm going to test it. I'm going to save it now, then backspace this sentence away. As long as I don't save those changes, this final sentence should still be here!! Here goes!! Ha!! It worked!! I was right!! I finally figured out what to do! As long as I'm up to date with hitting "update"(which is how this program saves) and I don't "update" when I've accidentally backspaced, the stuff I've written will be back!!! YAY!!! I'm so happy! I just have to be on the ball with updating my progress as I write – which is easy to forget when I'm tired. I guess I need to form new habits while writing!

Hmmm…it also doesn't automatically double space!! So, today I did a big "bleep" up!! I really really did! I screwed up big time! I was buying my train ticket for BC. The last few times when I've checked the price it's been around $200, we'll, $188 plus GST. So, today I went to buy it. I filled in all of the information did everything had "economy" selected and purchased the ticket. Then I looked at the receipt and boarding pass. The receipt was for $302!!!! Not $188 plus GST!!! I went back to figure out what I did wrong, as I have looked at it a gajillion times and I filled everything out the same way. Well, I figured out that the difference is that before it was showing me the price for "economy escape", but I bought the "economy" ticket. Turns out "economy escape" was sold out, so I was bumped up to the next cheapest ticket!! And…if I want to change it or cancel it, to take the bus or something, there's a $70 charge!!! I could have flown there for that price!! That's what we originally looked at, but the train was cheaper!! Now I don't know what to do. No idea at all!! I'm going to have to figure it out, it's only 2 weeks from now, but I do know that we didn't want to pay that much. Do I call VIA rail and explain my mistake? Do I just go? I don't know at all what to do. The only difference between the two tickets is that for the cheaper one, you have to pay a 50% service fee to transfer tickets and you can't cancel it Arizona all. With economy, you pay 25% to transfer and the same to cancel…argh!! I don't know what I'm going to do. You have no idea how thrilled I am about going on a train through the mountains. It's something that I have always wanted to do!! Sigh…

Other than that royal mistake I made, I had a pretty calm day. I got all of the towels washed and folded. I worked on a drawing that I'm scrambling to get finished before BC. I also watched a bit of our show, with my oldest daughter. This evening was my son's soccer practice, so I watched that. My mom wanted to go shoe shopping this afternoon, but that didn't work out. I was going to get my oldest to watch my youngest while I went with my mom, but my daughter was really tired after work and ended up napping for a few hours once she got home. Also, my hubby doesn't get paid until tomorrow and even though I need new ones, I can't really afford to go shoe shopping… especially after my train ticket fiasco!! Well, I think that is all for tonight. I'm going to head off to bed! Night All! 💤😴

Sweating Spider-Man

My dr gave me a new medication to help with the sweating!!! Yay!! I’ve never been so happy to be adding a medication to the list!! Usually it’s all about trying to get off meds. This time it’s like, yay a new medication!! He said it’s a safe med for long term use. He also said that excessive sweating is one of the most common side effects to the types of meds I’m on. At least two, if not three of my medications can cause excessive sweating. He also said that we should know in a couple weeks or so if it’s helping or not. If so, great! If not, we try a different med. I’m very happy. He also gave me a prescription for orthotics for my stupid plantar Fasciitis. I have no idea where I take the prescription to actually get the orthotics. I’m going to search online tomorrow and figure it out. He also said that if they don’t help, that he can prescribe a cortisone shot into my heel (ouch!!). He said that people find a lot of relief with the cortisone shots. However, it does really sting when being injected with the cortisone. But, if nothing else works and that will help, I guess that I’ll go for it.

After the dr’s office we (my hubby, my oldest, my son and I; my dancing girl is still at camp!!) went to the matinee of the new Spider-Man movie. It was entertaining.  I enjoyed it. I liked how he was figuring things out, learning how to be a superhero. He didn’t have these powers and then bam! He’s suddenly the best fighter, taking down the bad guys etc. I liked how he was just a kid figuring out what to do with these new found powers of his. He struggled, it wasn’t automatic or easy. He had to figure it out. Anyway, it was a good movie!

On our way home from the movie, we stopped to drop off my prescriptions at Rexall and we went to Sobeys and bought stuff to make sandwiches for supper. The sandwiches really hit the spot!

It’s only 9:15 and I keep falling asleep as I stare at my phone. I think I’m going to go get ready for bed now. A nice, long sleep will do me good.

Sweaty Issues!

Tomorrow is my Dr Hauptman appointment.

It fills me with excitement!

I’m going to find out if there’s anything,

We can do about my sweating!

I’m sick of always feeling wet!

How gross can you get?

I can’t wear makeup on my face,

It drips away, leaving a disgrace!

The back of my shirt always feels wet and gross,

That’s one of the things I hate the most!

On hot days it gets so bad,

It’s starting to make me really mad!

I need to shower all the time,

Using up water like a crime!

It’s from my pills, my Dr said.

There’s something I can take, this is what I read:

(Taken from the International Hyperhidrosis Society’s website)

There are a number of oral (taken by mouth) prescription medications that may be used to manage certain types of excessive sweating. The medications work in a variety of ways to systemically (in your body’s whole “system”) limit sweating. They do this by helping to prevent the stimulation of sweat glands and thus decreasing overall sweating.
Oral hyperhidrosis medications are best suited for patients with certain types of excessive sweating such as excessive facial sweating (cranio-facial hyperhidrosis), generalized hyperhidrosis, and those who have not had success using other therapies such as clinical strength antiperspirants, iontophoresis, Botox, or a customized combination of these. People who have compensatory sweating from ETS surgery, sweat over a large body area (such as the back or chest), need temporary relief from sweating every once in a while for a special event (such as a performance or presentation), or have excessive sweating secondary to a medication or medical condition may also find success with oral medications.

Anticholinergics:
The most commonly used medications for managing excessive sweating are anticholinergics. These include medicines such as glycopyrrolate, oxybutynin, benztropine, propantheline, and others.

Tomorrow I’m going to ask him about these meds.

It even talks about sweating as a result of meds!

I’m tired of lying waking up soaked!

This whole sweating issue has me choked.

He’s mentioned a solution in the past,

I’m sure he’ll give it to me if I just ask!

That’s why I’m so happy I’ll be seeing him,

Because this sweating is super grim.

To be able to wear makeup again would be nice.

Now I try, but I have to think twice.

Even mascara ends up making a mess!

Who knew sweating everywhere could cause such stress?

JKC

Camp, Walmart, Home

This morning we had to wake up early to load up the car with my daughter’s stuff for camp. Included her 24 pkg of water bottles, her sleeping bag, pillow, suit case, etc.  It seemed to come so fast, but that’s probably because of how late I registered her! She knew a few of the girls right away when she got there, so she’ll be fine. It’s about an hour drive from our house, not counting Starbucks- 😂 lol (priorities! It was 8:30 on a Sunday morning!!) The drive was safe and uneventful, we got her there on time. Carried her things with her into her cabin helped her get semi-settled. Then we walked her back to the lodge, said goodbye and left her. Bye bye little one, Momma loves you!! I didn’t say that in front of her friends, of course…that would have been way uncool!! Lol If my hubby had been there, he wouldn’t have hesitated to embarrass her! Anyway, after dropping her off we drove by “the cabin”. (We have friends who have a cabin right on a double lot, lakefront. They had a second double lotbacking onto their first lot. Got years they let us go out there and use it whenever we wanted.  We took them up in it very often, it was beginning to feel like ours. However, the owners are getting up there in age and, although they weren’t yet sure, their adult children convinced them to sell! We all really miss it. We have many good memories out there!) My son wanted to see it. Do, I drove past it and no one was there. It looks just as I remember it…sigh. How sad. We were spoiled with the anytime use of a free cabin. Now we miss the place so much!! We should’ve looked into buying it from them. But, it’s too late now. ☹️ Looking at it even made my son sad. He remembers it from a couple of years ago.

On our wAy home, we drove through Leduc and we popped into the Leduc Walmart. I found some watercolour paintbrushes and a travel pack of watercolour paints that the supply list claims isn’t that bad a set. I also bought a sketch/notebook. I’m working on some of my supplies for my watercolour course, obviously. I’m, of course, going to hit up a real art store for a few things, but I probably already have the majority of what I’ll need. I know it’s three weeks away, but I’m getting super excited and nervous!! I hope that I’m able to do whatever she instructs us to do. I also hope that I can remember past things we have learned. Then I don’t feel quite so much like an untalented newbie!! Either way, I’m also super excited to be going there on a train!!! Wow! I have always wanted to take a train through the mountains! I mean always!! It’s what I wanted to do for as long back as I remember! I told my hubby that’s what I wanted to do for our honeymoon, but we ended up doing nothing. I’m feeling a bit guilty for being excited that I get a few nights to myself, kid free!! I haven’t had that in some time and I feel ready for a break!! The train has plug ins to charge things and free wifi! It has food and I’m so so ecstatic! I’m trying not to act overexcited, because my kids are upset that I’m leaving prior to them and that I won’t be in the car for the drive there. They will be fine and we all know u could really use a break from the kids – everyone but the kids know it and believe it, I think…

After the Leduc Walmart, we went airport and picked my oldest daughter. Then we drove to Chapters at Southpoint for a book she’d been looking for for a while now. We saw online that they had it there, so we went there. After the bookstore, we came home. I folded laundry while we watched our show. We’re getting close to the end of the whole series!! Then we’re going to need a new show to watch!! Suggestions anyone!!

Well, I’m off! I’m feeling pretty tired and it’s awfully late. My eyes are closing and wanting to stay that way…so I’m going to let them do as they wish!! Night All! 💤😴

Hot Hot Camp Prep Day!!

Today was another hot one! Despite the fact that we supposedly have an air conditioner in our room, I’m still sweating! That was a very convoluted way of saying that…however, you probably know what I was intending to say. It’s hot!! That’s what! My house has absolutely no air flow so it gets so so hot in here, when it is hot outside!! And, because there’s no air flow, it hardly cools down in the evening, so you’re just stuck with hot! And, of course, my son still wants to play and stuff, he is a seven year old boy after all! (We played “golf” tonight!). It’s ten times more exhausting in this heat, playing games. But, I guess I will stop complaining, because it could be pouring rain and miserable every day!! That would really make for a crappy summer. So I’ll take the heat!!

Today wasn’t quite as busy as yesterday and the day before. The person came this morning to love k at the jackets that I’m selling, they were way too big!! I don’t know what they were thinking , but a kids 10/12 does not fit a four year old!! Not at all!! They have nothing ready for the winter, as they just moved here from Mexico. They’re unprepared and trying to get ready. I tried to reassure them that the winter stuff will hit the stores with time for them to get ready. They obviously aren’t accustomed to our weather yet! So much for train money from that sale…most people aren’t looking for winter stuff yet. I have to put it aside and repost it on VarageSale in the fall. Now I’m really counting on that stroller!!

I got some running around done with my daughter to get all that she needed for camp. We went to Dollarama, Sobeys, Shoppers, Walmart and we got gas. We bought amino shampoo/conditioner, dry shampoo, hand sanatizer atthefirat store. Then we bought her a 24 pack of bottled water. She always brings bottled water, as the water at camp is well water and she doesn’t like the way it tastes and I don’t blame her, I’m not a fan of it either. This way I know that she’s getting hydrated. I’m afraid she’d get dehydrated before drinking the water!!  Anyway, at the next store we got her a pack of travel face wipes, as well as a pack of wet wipes – just to be prepared. Then we went to Walmart, where we bought her anew bathing suit and a watch, since it’s technically a technology free zone at camp, so she can’t continuously check her phone! We also ended up buying her a new bathing suit! We just happened upon one that she really really liked. So, she talked me into it!! On the way home from Walmart, we stopped at the shell and got gas, so I don’t hAve to tomorrow morning. She spent the rest of the day finishing her laundry and packing for tomorrow.

It was nice to come home and relax for a bit. The past few days have been so busy that just sitting was a nice treat. My daughter and I watched a couple of episodes of our show, then I had to get ready for supper. We had potatoes chopped up with onions, with butter, seasoning salt and garlic powder. We were going to add carrots too, but the ones we had turned out to be bad…we wrapped it all in foil and through it on the BBQ. We also BBQ’d burgers, with cheese. Mmmmm!! It was a hit! What a great meal! Now I’m beat. After supper my son and I played our golf game, I helped my daughter, by painting her nails, her right hand, for her. Then we went up to bed and here am rambling to you about my day!!  And now, before I start falling asleep while writing, because I feel like I’m right at that edge where I could just fall! Then I’d be done…I’d end up erasing stuff, get mad at myself and start the whole thing going… so, on that note: Night All! 💤😴

Another Full Day!!

Today was another full day. Hopefully I’ll write this without falling asleep again! I just hate when I do that. I always end up accidentally backspacing and losing some, if not all, of what I’ve written. I just hate when I do that!!

I had to wake up early to drive my daughter to school – her last day of the two week phys-ed class already! Does Time ever fly!  When I got home I was still tired, so I decided to climb back into bed and have a nap before starting my day. Once I woke up, I had to feed my son quickly and get him ready to go play at a friend from school’s house. Right afterwards I had to run to Sobeys  and then to a ladies house to buy a bag for my art supplies. She was selling one and it looked perfect for what I needed. I hope it’s big enough…it looks close. I have to look into whether or not they charge you more for extra bags on the train. If so, my dad had a great idea. He figures, since they go back to their BC house before I’m going, he could just bring the supplies with him and my mom, when they go back to their BC house.  Then, a week and a bit later, I’ll take the train there and my art stuff will already be there waiting for me at my mom and dad’s BC house!  It’s a great idea. It just requires me to get ready sooner than I would if I were bringing it with me. But I intended to go through my things and look at the supply list to see if I needed to get anything, on top of what I already own. So, I have to get organized and my hubby had to figure out his vs action time. (Some key people quit at his work today, which may affect his ability to even come at all. Let alone just coming with the kids on the Tuesday. That just throws everything off!) If he can’t come, the kids will have to go earlier, with me and I’ll have to drive…I’m really and truly intimidated and scared to do that long drive on my own! My hubby always does the driving and the stretch through Golden just absolutely freaks me out!! I hate it with every fibre of my being!! I try to be certain I’m asleep for that part❗️I’m praying that he can come! It’s only fair. He’s been working his tail off and these new changes will increase his workload even more!!! He needs the break and hasn’t he earned it?? I’d say so! I also now can’t just go ahead and book my train ticket, as we need to know what’s going on with him. This makes planning super difficult ! I think he needs to stand up for himself and point out all that he’s been doing, he desperately needs a break!! I’ll be angry if he doesn’t get his holiday this summer!! Hopefully Garry comes back to temporarily replace the guy who quit and he can give my hubby the holidays!
My daughter got a 96% on her phys-ed final and wanted celebratory Starbucks. So I took her their and got her a frapaccino (I don’t know how to spell that word!!) When I got back home, my hubby and I cleaned our disaster area, otherwise known as a living room. What a cluttered mess man! It was like walking through an obstacle course! Well, it’s nice now. Much much better!  Once the living room was cleaned, it was time to get ready to go to my mom and dad’s house for supper. My Uncle Joe, cousin Barbara, her daughter, Angela from California were visiting. The people that they are stating with, Uncle Joe’s wife’s brother and his wife, Shirley were there. Also, from Edmonton, my Uncle Alan and Aunty Shirley were there. My kids felt a little overwhelmed and shy, especially my son, but it was fine and they were all very nice people. We had a nice visit with them, Uncle Joe isn’t doing that well. He has dementia and gets confused very easily, but he was just fine, much better than I had expected. It’s the first time I’ve seen him since my Aunty Janet passed away a few months back.

Once we came home, we looked at some old photos that my mom found from my high school graduation. It’s so long ago! It was crazy how different and young I look, with my whole life ahead of me. Time is a bizarre thing. Then I did a wonderful face mask from Lush. Then I got ready for bed and am sitting here writing right now!!

Look at me! I made it too now without falling asleep at all!! I guess it’s not as late as some nights, it’s only 11:20. However, I feel ready for bed. I can’t sleep too late. That lady is coming in the morning to look at those jackets I am selling and washed for her. Night All! 💤😴

Busy Busy!!

Today was a very full day!  This morning, after dropping off my daughter at summer school, I met my friend Claudia at Starbucks. We had a nice visit. It’s been so long since we’ve gotten together! It was nice to get together with her. We had a good talk and we’re able to catch each other up on our lives these days, as well as our summer plans. They’re going to be in BC the same time as us, do we are going to try to connect when we’re there!! Time can go by so quickly. You truly intend to get together and suddenly it feels like you blink and a month has passed! That’s what had happened between us. We kept intending to get together and make plans, but life just kind of got busy and it hasn’t happened for a while. Fortunately, her daughter is in the same summer phys ed class that my daughter is in and we saw each other while picking up the girls the other day. That spurred us forward to make actual plans to meet for coffee and voila!!  It was so great to see her!!

Afterwards, I went home and got some laundry done.  I had to restart the dryer because the winter jackets that I posted on VarageSale were not quite dry yet. Once they dried, I took the photos of what I have and then I sent them to the lady who is interested in buying them. She’s coming by tomorrow to see which ones she wants. Fingers crossed that I can sell them. I need train money!!

My oldest daughter, my son and I also got some running around done this afternoon.  We had to go to Sobeys, get gas, go through the car wash (which my son loves – of course! What kid doesn’t??!) We also had to grab some melatonin from Shoppers. Once we went home I played WiiU with my son, until I had to pick my daughter up from school. We went to aladies house to buy a pair of sandals offif her, for my daughter. They look like Birkenstock’s, but they’re a different brand. A German name that I couldn’t pronounce. They were only $10 and they fit well and my daughter really loves them. So that was as it’s!! Woot! Woot! After that I took her and her friend to rotten Ronnies because it was national fry-day. Whatever that means?! Probably some made up thing just to make more sales!! However, they convinced me to go…

When we got back home, I did more laundry, then finished the game my son and I were playing earlier. There was a severe thunderstorm warning for Edmonton and surrounding areas, including Beaumont. However, I had to leave and drive my daughter to dance. There was a summer drop-in class! I don’t miss the driving, but she misses dancing and her dance friends and was thrilled about seeing them tonight! While she danced, I visited my mom and dad. They got back from BC last night. I know that they live it there, but I miss them when their gone. I know that my kiddos do also! It was nice to have a little visit, just me without kids, etc.

I picked my daughter up and we drove home. We had a late supper and then I checked the laundry- yet again!! Then we went to bed and here we are!!

I have to go to bed! I keep falling asleep as I write…haven’t done this in some time!!  Huh! I’m beat! It’s late!! My daughter is getting ready for work right now!! Night All! 💤😴
