My daughter had a great time with her friend from dance. They hung out at her house yesterday afternoon and in the evening they went back to the Jubliee and watched the adults do their hip hop dance at the Artists Emerge competition. (The competition she danced at yesterday morning.) They did well, they were awarded gold. Also, the younger girls danced this morning and did really well, they were awarded platinum (the level above gold) and won adjudicater’s choice award and second, I think second, maybe first. I can’t remember what my daughter told me. No one from my daughter’s dance studio made it into the finals this evening. They all did really well though. It was a tough competition!!

Today we made a food plan for next week. We tried to make it healthier than we normally eat. We have a pretty long grocery list. My first Weight Watchers meeting is on Tuesday, so, whatever I do eat, I’ll have to track it. Which is, I guess, something I have to get used to. I have no choice. I have to take this prediabetes thing seriously. I’m at the biggest I’ve been in my life. I’m sick and tired of being so overweight. I’m sick of not caring about how much I weigh (or pretending not to) or, more truthfully, what I eat. Also, I don’t need to add diabetes to the list of things that are wrong with me. So we’re getting up tomorrow and heading to Costco to buy things from the list. I’m getting ready for bed now. I’ll be keeping this short and sweet tonight. My son isn’t even asleep yet and it’s after 10:00. Night all! 💤😴
