Well, my daughter had her first dance competition today. It was strictly a hip hop competition. This meant that she only had one dance. It was her hip hop dance – obviously!! They were dressed up as the Scooby Doo gang. My daughter was Velma. She l👀ked good. She had the orange turtle-neck, and socks, the red skirt and shoes; she had the whole costume!! They had to be there at 9:00, even though the competition didn’t start until 10:30. We had to get up really early. Well, earlier than I’m used to. My daughter got up a lot earlier than I did!! She had to be ready to go, costume on, stage makeup on, etc. We left around 8:00. We went to my parents house first and picked up my mom. She came with us. She likes watching too and I had someone to keep me company and to sit with. My daughter and her group were about the fourth or fifth ones on. They did really well! They were awarded gold, they came in third in their division and they were given the X-Factor award. They said that was for sticking to and showing consistent, theme with good costumes. Whatever that mambo-jumbo means. Anyway, they did very well. I’m proud of her. She stayed with her friend afterwards, so that she could come watch part of the evening show. She’s having a sleepover with them tonight and they’re bringing her home tomorrow.
When I got home we watched some tv, ate supper and now we’re watching Rogue One. My hubby and I saw it in the theatre, but it was good and my daughter and son haven’t seen it yet. We’re about 40 minutes from the end. I’m going to go watch the end now. Night all! 💤😴
