Still Tired Out

I started this on my phone, to cut and paste the tags and the end paragraph, like I always do. Then I went over to the surface to continue writing and for some strange reason it’s not showing up there. I’m going to check again, but I may be doing tonight’s post on my phone. Not that that’s the end of the world or anything. Just strange…don’t you just love technology?? Well, here I am, on the surface. For whatever reason, it decided to work after all. My hubby travelled to Yellowknife early this morning and will be gone until Wednesday night. I hate it while he’s gone. It’s just strange. Today was even stranger because everyone was home. Even my oldest ended up calling in sick. She could barely function, she’s the sickest of the three, but they’re all coughing and sniffling and generally feeling crappy. We had such a busy weekend that they didn’t exactly get a lot of down-time to just take it easy and get well. What surprises me the most is that, knock on wood, I’m not sick yet! I usually get whatever the kids have and vise versa. But, so far so good. Even though they aren’t feeling great, I think that my parents and my aunt and cousin are going to come over for dinner tomorrow night. I really would like a better visit with my aunt and she is leaving on Wednesday for the island.  So, hopefully they will still come, despite my kids being a little under the weather. I bought the ingredients to make a stew in my crock-pot. It’s easy to make, I don’t have to worry about it once I get it into the pot and most people like stew…I think. Actually, my own kids won’t eat it! Well, the oldest will, it’s the younger two who probably won’t have any.

I let my daughter go to dance tonight, even though she was/is coughing up a storm. It’s power week at the studio, which is when all of the regular classes are cancelled and she has specific groups on each night, like tonight was ballet and jazz.  Then they all take turns doing their dance for the other kids. The whole studio gets a bit crazy, with lights and loud music and they make a music video and have a lot of fun. I knew that she wouldn’t be dancing straight for the entire time and that she just had her ballet and jazz dance to perform. Little did I know that she was coughing so badly after dancing that she threw-up! Oops! Maybe I should’ve sent a note stating that she was there to watch, but unable to dance or something like that… During power week, there is no dance on Tuesday, which is why I thought it’s be a good day to see my aunt and hopefully will give her a break from dancing, for at least a day!

I’m still feeling tired from the weekend to.  Worn out really, which is why I’m so surprised that I haven’t picked up this stinking cold that the kids have. Well, my oldest almost seems to have more flu-like symptoms, not just a cold and cough like the younger two. Which is why she called in to work today. She could barely get off of the couch.  Her body is aching, she has a cough and a headache and other yucky stuff. She was so worried about calling in, but she clearly is too sick to be working. I don’t know what she is doing tomorrow.  She wanted to wait and see how she feels in the morning. But, as I was saying, I’m still tired and I want to get to bed, so I’m going to stop now and get some rest. Otherwise I will end up with their germs all up in my business!! Lol!! Night all 💤😴
