Another Beautiful Day

This morning once the kids were at school, my hubby and I watched a couple episodes of The Voice on demand. I was super tired and I ended up falling asleep for a while on the couch. When I woke up I went to the Dollarama and bought some stick-on Velcro. I washed my daughter’s hip hop t-shirt yesterday, it’s partially cut along one side and has Velcro that holds it shut so that it can be torn away to reveal the other t-shirt that she is wearing underneath during her dance. Most of the Velcro came off in the wash. So I had to go along all of the cut edges and put new Velcro on so that at the beginning of the dance it just looks like a regular t-shirt. She wasn’t sure if she needed it for today’s photos, but she will definitely need it for her recital and we wanted it done for today, just to be safe. Both of the kids walked home from school today, it was beautiful outside!! Super hot and sunny! They came home from school one right before the other. I helped my oldest go through her stuffed animals and we put them into the dryer with a lot of Bounce sheets, to help freshen them up. They had a stale, weird smell to them. Then I helped her measure some things in her room, she wants to build a shelf with my dad and was measuring the area that she wants it in. When we were finished, we went upstairs. I got supper ready and helped my daughter make a camping list while it cooked. When the potatoes were close to being ready, my daughter BBQ’d the chicken for me (my hubby had left to take my daughter to the studio for her dance photos.) We ate supper in the living room and watched Criminal Minds. My hubby and daughter got back and when they were done eating, I took my daughter to the Dollarama to buy some clear plastic report sleeves for her CALM project for school. We got home and my son practiced his words for his spelling test and then I got him ready for bed and did the usual reading and singing. Once he was sleeping I went downstairs and watched another episode and half of Criminal Minds with my daughter. We didn’t watch all of the second one, because it was getting late. I hooked up our air conditioning unit in our room and then I got ready for bed. I’m thinking that I need to find a way to change up these posts…they just seem to be a list of my daily activities and that’s got to get boring to read after a while. I haven’t written a poem in a while…hmmm. There’s got to be more to write about then just what I did that day. I need to think about it. I feel like I started this as a creative outlet and it’s turned into a record of my day to day life. Well, I’m just not sure what to do about it. For tonight I’m going to go to bed, because it’s getting late and my stupid stupid stomach is getting to me!!Night All! 💤😴

A Bright Bright Sunshiny Day!!

This morning the kids had to get back to school after a 4 day weekend. My hubby wasn’t home from Regina yet, so I had to drive both kids to school. Once they were gone I sat on the couch and watched an episode of Home To Win on HGTV. My daughter woke up around 10:00. We made some earl grey tea and watched a few episodes of NCIS L.A. We are trying to catch up on all of the recordings that we have. And we have quite a few!! Around 2:30 we went outside to the backyard with the dogs. We brushed them both and cut more mats off of our bigger dog. She sheds like crazy, especially in the spring! We got a lot of hair off of her, but we’re not close to being finished. She still has mats on her hind legs, her belly and around her butt! However, we couldn’t get her into a position where we could get at it all. She didn’t like lying on her back for long. I had to go to the school to pick up my daughter and I went to Sobeys while I was out. Then I went back outside to help my daughter some more. We finally got our dog onto her back and were making progress when the people who live behind us and beside us came outside. My dog was completely distracted by the other people and our neighbours dog. We had to stop for the day. We went inside and I got some fries cooking in the air-fryer. Once the fries were close to being cooked, my daughter BBQ’d some hotdogs. We ate supper and then my daughter and I drove to studio. They don’t have their regular dance classes today and tomorrow, because it’s picture day(s). The photos don’t usually take that long, so I just waited in the van in the parking lot. We got home at about 7:30. My hubby was home from Regina. We all talked for a bit. Then I went downstairs and got some laundry going and walked on the treadmill for about 45 minutes. Afterwards, I had a quick shower. Then I watched a show with my daughter. When we were done, I went upstairs and got ready for bed. Now I’m going to crash!! Night All! 💤😴

A Mother And Her Son

I slept in yet again today. My son and I stayed upstairs for a long time today!! It was just the two of us at home today. My younger daughter slept over at her friend’s last night and they went to Galaxy Land today and my oldest left for work at about 11:20. He was playing on the iPad and I was just on my phone, but we did that for quite a long time!! We finally went downstairs at around 3:30, because we were both hungry. We had something to eat. Then we went in the kitchen and attempted to play ping pong on the kitchen table. We weren’t very good at it, but it was fun!! Then we went on the Wii and played Wii sports for quite a long time. We were still playing at about 7:00, when my younger daughter came home. I started making supper and we played some more ping pong while it was cooking. We ate and I watched HGTV while we ate. My oldest came home from work at about 8:20. I got her supper and we watched a show. Then I came upstairs with my son and got him ready for bed. I read to him in our room, then he climbed up onto his bed and I sang to him. When he fell asleep, I went back downstairs and watched a couple shows with my daughter. Then I got myself ready for bed and I am going to sleep. My stupid stomach won’t stop and it’s grating on me. I just hate it!! Ug…I’m almost out of the prescription tummy pills. I’m going to make another dr’s appointment to get more, either tomorrow or the next day. I just hope that they find something in the lab tests. Fingers crossed!

West Ed Mall Day!!

I slept in again this morning! My son was up before me again, he just went on the iPad again for a while. Then we got up and got something to eat. We hung out in the living room for a bit. Then I went upstairs and got dressed and ready to leave. My younger daughter had a birthday party to go to at West Edmonton Mall from 3:00-7:00. My son went to a friend’s house and the girls and I drove to the mall. My daughter went with the birthday party people, they were doing a sort of Amazing Race throughout the mall. My oldest daughter and I first went to the bookstore. I bought a meditation book and a book that is the new one in a series of books that I have. I also got my daughter a book that she wanted. (I bought her a book for Easter and she already owned it, so I told her that I owed her a book.) After the bookstore, we went to Bath And Body Works. We got a couple things here. Then we went to Saje. Then we went to Hot Topic and I used my birthday money to get a couple things. Then we went to Winners and my daughter bought a dress. After Winners we went to Ardenes. She bought some clothes for work and I got some summer pjs. The stores closed at 6:00 today, so we went to the food court and got supper. After we ate I bought some Gravol at London Drugs. Then we met my daughter and we drove home. I picked up my son from his friend’s house when we got back in town. My daughter had another birthday party to go to, so she got her stuff together and I dropped her off. When I got home again my daughter and I did the dishes and then we watched a couple shows. When they were finished I went upstairs with my son and got him ready and into bed. Then I did the same. My tummy was still bad all day. I can’t stand it!! I can’t get through a day without gagging and feeling awful. It’s so stupid! They really need to figure out what the heck is going on, because I can’t keep living like this!! I’m going to go to bed now. Night All! 💤😴

A Beautiful Royal Wedding

I slept in today. My son woke up before me. He just went on the iPad beside me while I slept. When I finally did get up , we went downstairs and talked with my oldest daughter for a bit. My son wanted something from Dollarama, so we went there quickly and picked it up. When we got back, we ate and my daughter and I started watching the Royal Wedding. We had a 6 hour recording!! That’s pretty much all I did today!! We skipped through some of the boring stuff, especially before the ceremony began. We stopped it whenever we recognized one of the guests as they arrived. We started watching it when the Royals began arriving. Prince Harry arrived with his brother and they both were wearing their uniforms. The second last to arrive was the queen. The children in the wedding party arrived just before Meghan. She came very last. She looked beautiful. Her dress was simple, but beautiful. Nothing too flashy or sparkly or tacky, she looked very elegant and, well, beautiful. We watched the whole ceremony and the carriage ride afterwards. It took up our entire day!! My son was playing and was off and on the iPad while we were watching the wedding, he definitely wasn’t interested at all!! When it finished, my younger daughter and I went to Rexall and then to Shoppers. We came home and she took one of the dogs for a walk with her friends. My other daughter and I watched a couple of episodes of NCIS. We didn’t quite get to the season finale, I think we’re one episode before it. The last one we watched was heart-wrenching!! What an awfully sad sad episode!! A bit of a spoiler alert here, because we both cried through the whole episode! They killed off one of our favourite people and another person left the show. It was a really sad episode! We even knew that she was leaving, it’s been online. But this is not a new show and she’s been there since the beginning!! It’s going to be weird with both of them being gone!! My daughter was sobbing through the entire thing! When it was over, we both just sat there for a while, not saying anything. Who knows what they will do for the finale, I’m surprised that episode wasn’t it. When I got over the sadness of it all, my daughter and I talked about it for a while. Then I got my son ready for and into bed and I did the same for myself! I’m still feeling just as nauseous as I have been all week and I don’t know what to do about it anymore. It drives me crazy. I’m going to go to bed. The only time I don’t feel like throwing up is when I’m sleeping. So that’s what I’m going to do. Night All! 💤😴

Barf City‼️

The kids didn’t have school today, so, since it’s May long weekend, they actually get a 4 day weekend. So I didn’t have to wake up early and I didn’t!! I slept in!! When I did get up I briefly went downstairs and got something to drink. Then I went back upstairs and, finally, did the stupid stool sample. Now, let me tell you, that is absolutely NOT the best thing to be doing when every little thing makes you either gag or throw up!! It was painful!! I truly didn’t think that I’d be able to get it done! I threw up 3 or 4 times!! And, when I wasn’t getting sick I was gagging like mad!! It was really bad!! I finally finished it and got dressed and took the stupid thing to the lab. It was such a relief when I finished!! Jeepers! I sure hope that they don’t make me go through that again!! Barf city! I went to Sobeys quickly while I was out. When I got home I saw that my son’s friend’s mom had texted to see if he wanted to play. So he got changed and I drove him to their house. Then I came home and had something to eat. My hubby and I finished the episode of The Voice that we didn’t get all the way through yesterday, and we watched another episode. Then I drove him to a friend’s house. I went to Sobeys again and got something easy for supper, as I was feeling awful still and wasn’t up to anything too involved. Then I went home and I did a guided meditation. When I was done I went to pick up my daughter from a friend’s house. We drove her other friend home and then came home. We sat down and looked at the schedule options for her dance next year. She has to decide what group she wants to dance with, either the older group or the younger ones, she is right in the middle age wise. She’s torn and really doesn’t know what to do!! We added up hours and looked at cost. I think that it has gone up a bit from this year. At this point I have zero clue how we are going to pay for dance next year. I’m super stressed about money and my hubby still doesn’t have a job!! It’s very scary and I really hate it!!! I sure hope that he hears back from someone soon!! The head hunters who were supposed to be helping him have turned out to be useless!! Not helpful at all!! And, he waited for them for a long time, because they told him that they could find him something better. Now he’s applying for things on his own and pretty much giving up on them!! It’s all very frustrating and nerve wracking! So, we will probably figure out dance, without having any idea where the money will come from!! Scary! We didn’t get through all of our calculating of the hours and had to stop and go pick up my son. We came home and I put supper in the oven and then we went back to looking at the different schedules. We didn’t really come to any conclusions, but we stopped and had supper. After supper my son and I played dominos. Then my daughter and I cleaned the freezer, earlier today she put a can of coke in the freezer to get it cold. She forgot about it and when I came home from the store I heard a weird sound. I couldn’t figure out what it was, then I opened the freezer to put supper away and there was frozen/slushy coke everywhere!!!! So we cleaned it up. It wasn’t that easy, because it was frozen onto everything, but we got it done. Then she went upstairs and my son and I started playing a game together. My oldest daughter came home. My son and I finished what we were doing and then I watched a couple of shows with my daughter. Afterwards, I took my son upstairs, it was getting late and he was super tired!! He fell asleep really quickly!! Then I got ready for bed and I wrote this and now I’m going to go to sleep! I’m just too nauseous for words… I sure hope that they find something in the lab tests, because this isn’t normal!!

Such A Bad Tummy!!

This morning my son woke me up again. He gets up better than I do now that he’s in his own room!! Once the kids were at school, my hubby and I binge watched The Voice on Telus on demand. We basically did nothing else all day. I felt so so nauseous all day. I haven’t heard anything from the dr, which likely means that they haven’t found anything in the lab tests that I had done the other day. I still haven’t done the stool sample, because I haven’t had to go during the day…which is when it has to be, because I have to take the sample in during the same day. (Probably TMI, sorry 😐) After my hubby picked the kids up from school, he dropped our son off at a friend’s house. Then we both went to the city, we dropped our daughter off at dance and then went to Costco and did a really big shop. We had a good hour before we had to pick her up from dance when we were finished at Costco. So, we went to Safeway to get a few things that you can’t get at Costco. Then we picked up our daughter and drove home. We unloaded the van and put everything away, then I made everyone sandwiches for supper. After supper, we just hung out in the kitchen and talked for quite a while. I was going to go on the treadmill, but my tummy was just so so bad today. Usually I can take the medication that the dr gave me and it helps a bit. However, today nothing at all helped me. I still just feel super awful! I’m so damn sick of it!! After we all talked for a while, my oldest daughter and I watched the season finale of NCIS New Orleans. Then I got ready for bed and now I’m going to sleep. Fingers crossed that tomorrow my tummy isn’t nearly as bad as it was today!!

Still Sick Of Course – My New Normal!!

This morning my son came into my room and told me that my alarm was going off. It just plays the radio, so I guess that I was tired, because I hadn’t heard it at all!! He was already dressed for school, which was nice! I got up and we got him off to school. Then my hubby and I watched a few episodes of Big Bang Theory. We watched until the season finale. My daughter came upstairs when it was finished. I was feeling pretty tired. We put on The Voice and I started watching it, but I fell asleep while watching. I woke up when it was finished. My daughter was going on the Wii Fit. I had a bowl of cereal. Then I went upstairs and had a sleep for a couple hours, because I was so tired. I felt super nauseous and had a headache when I woke up. It was really yucky! I took something for it, then went back on the bed for a while. I got up after a while and I got shorts on and went downstairs and then walked on the treadmill for about 45 minutes. When I finished, I went upstairs and got cleaned up. My hubby had supper ready, but I have to leave to drive my daughter to dance. She was able to eat though, which is good. After dropping her off I drove to Studio Nails and got a pedicure. I needed my toes done badly!! It’s sandal season, so I really needed the pedicure. When it was finished, I popped into Winners and I got my daughter and I new water bottles. I’ve been wanting a bigger one for a long time now and she accidentally forgot her good one at the last dance competition we were at. We didn’t go back to look for it, because she didn’t realize that she didn’t have it until we got home and the competition was at the UofA, not exactly a quick drive back!! Her friend looked for it the next day, but it was gone!! After I left Winners, I went to Mucho Burrito and got some supper. I drove back to her dance and ate in my van. When I finished eating I started writing this post. I’m still feeling nauseous (how shocking!), but the headache is pretty much gone!! I’m going to go home and probably go to bed. If I don’t do that I will probably watch a show with my oldest daughter and then go to bed. Her dance is finished in just 15 minutes, so she’s going to be out soon. Until tomorrow!! Night All! 💤😴

A Movie With Mom!

This morning we woke up at about 7:50. We had just enough time to get my son to school on time. When my hubby got home from dropping him off, he made eggs for breakfast. I ate my food and while I was eating my daughter woke up and came upstairs and had breakfast too. When she was finished, we started cleaning up the main floor. It hadn’t been cleaned really well in some time and badly needed an overhaul! We cleaned for almost 4.5 hours straight! From about 9:00 until my mom came over, around 1:30. We were both ready for lunch by then. So we got some food ready and ate in the living room while watching the TV movie that we had pvr’d, about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. My mom was interested in watching it, the daughter of one of her best friend’s from high school plays Princess Kate in the movie. It was a pretty good story. It really makes you wonder which parts are true and which are made up or over embellished for the movie. It’s such a great story of overcoming and sticking to their own dreams and being themselves in a world where you are supposed to be a certain way all of the time. I enjoyed it. My daughter and son came home from school while we were watching it. My hubby drove them both to friends houses not long after they got home. When the movie ended, we made sure to set our pvr to record the actual wedding this Saturday. We’re recording it on CBC and it’s crazy long, it’s on live from 2am until 8am, which we looked up in London it will be at 12pm. We decided that we would get some sleep and watch it when we get up. This way we can watch what we want and skip through the boring parts, like the whole first hour is probably people arriving at the ceremony, etc. My mom left after we figured out all of the wedding times for Saturday. My daughter went outside with our dog and brushed her as much as she could, because she is shedding so so badly right now, it’s just the time of year. I was feeling super nauseous, so I took something for my tummy and then my hubby and I watched a tv show on demand. Then I started some fries cooking in the air fryer. I went outside with my daughter to help her cut out some mats from our dogs fur. My hubby picked up the kids from their friend’s. Then he BBQ’d. We ate supper. Not long after he left to take my daughter to dance. My oldest and I watched one of our recorded shows, we’re so behind on our shows!! My son went on the iPad while we watched the show. Then I took my son upstairs and got him ready for bed. I read and sang. Now I’m writing this while he goes to sleep. I may watch another show with my daughter, and then I’ll get ready for bed and crash. My tummy is so so yucky today. I’m just sick of it. Night All! 💤😴

Happy Birthday To Me!!

It’s my birthday today. We woke up at about 7:30. We went downstairs and I opened my presents. It was the only time today that everyone would be home at the same time. I received two Google Home Minis, one for the main floor and one for my bedroom. They are pretty neat. We played around with it a lot today. My kiddos went to school not long after I opened my gifts. We had breakfast and watched some YouTube videos. My old friend called me and I talked with her for a while. It’s been a long time since we talked. We watched some videos about Google Home and setting it up and the different things that you can use it for. Then it was passed lunch time, so we had something to eat. Afterwards my daughter left for work. I went upstairs and got dressed and then I drove to the lab. I arrived just in time, because about 7 or 8 people came in right after me and there was a pretty long wait!! I waited for about 15-20 minutes. When I went back they took about 5 or 6 vials of blood and I had to do urine sample too. I also have to do another stool sample, but that is one that you do at home. After the lab it was just after 3:00, so I went directly to my daughter’s school to pick her up. We drove home so that she could change, then I drove her to dance. I drove back to Beaumont right after. We stopped at Shoppers and then Sobeys. My hubby BBQ’d burgers not long after I came home. It was just him, my son and I. We made enough for the girls to eat when they came home. After supper, my son and hubby dropped me off at my meditation class and they went to get my daughter from dance. During this class we did two meditations again. The first one was a mindfulness meditation. She started with a quick progressive relaxation meditation and then went into a description about a waterfall. I find it easier to do the guided meditations, which she said is normal when you are starting out. The last 5 minutes were just quiet and I found it difficult to remain focused and had many intrusive thoughts. The second meditation we did was a transcendental meditation (I think…). This time we had 15 minutes of quiet after she guided us in, there was relaxing music playing and we were supposed to focus on the mantra “rum”, said very slowly over and over in your mind. I had some disruptive thoughts during this one and I wanted to say “om”, not “rum”. It was good though. Definitely very relaxing. I don’t think I got to that sweet spot (as she calls it) where you find yourself in the place of quiet between your thoughts, where there’s ultimate peace and inspiration and healing. My thoughts were just too intrusive tonight. I did enjoy it though. After we were finished, I walked home. It was a beautiful day. When I got home I did a couple things and then I got my son ready for bed. I read to him in our bed so that he could see the silly pictures in the Captain Underpants book and then he went up on his bed and I sang to him. Afterwards I watched a tv show with my oldest, she came home from work while I was upstairs with my son. Then I got ready for bed. Now I’m going to crash. Thanks for all of the birthday wishes. Night All! 💤😴
