Apple Store & Plato’s Closet

Today is a PD day for the kids. I got up at 8:30 and started going through my clothes again. At about 11:45, we left and dropped off my son at his friend’s grandma’s house, so he could play with his friend there. Then my younger daughter and I drove to Southgate Mall and went to the Apple Store. We told them what was going on with her phone and the lady made us an appointment with the genus bar. Then she showed us how to back my daughter’s phone up onto iCloud. It took forever. The guy was able to run his diagnostic test on it while it was backing up. It gave us bad news though…her sound chip is completely broken and it’s something that isn’t fixable!! Meaning, she needs a new phone! Great news! Just what I wanted to hear!! Because we can afford a new phone…she can’t hear music, phone calls and something else is wrong because only some texts go through and some don’t! He didn’t even bother checking out the texting problem, once he found out that there was an internal problem that wasn’t fixable, he basically stopped looking at it, because we need to get a new phone. That’s our only solution!! So, we stayed in the Apple Store, because the backup wasn’t finished and it needed the free wifi to complete it. The frustrating thing was that we sat there forever, waiting for it to be finished, and then after an hour and a half her phone suddenly got disconnected from the wifi and the backup got interrupted. So, it didn’t even end up working! We were both super aggravated, so we decided that we would do it at home. So we left the Apple Store and drove to the second hand store Plato’s Closet. We both brought our clothes in. She had 3 regular bags and I had 3 garbage bags. We shopped in the store while they went through our things. The wait wasn’t nearly as long as the last time that we were there. They told us it was about 25 minutes. Last time it was close to 2 hours!! They ended up taking 18 of my daughter’s items and about 33 of mine! They give you cash right then and there. Or trade for whatever you’re buying. I bought a couple pairs of shorts and 3 pairs of jeans. My daughter bought a LuLu bra, some pants and a black shirt that she can wear to dance. Then we drove to the Walmart. She needed a new binder for school and we were both thirsty!!? From there we drove home. Once we got home I made a quick supper, because my son had soccer practice and had to eat before leaving. Once they left, we ate. Then my daughter and I watched a few episodes of Hawaii 5. They came home after the first show. My son went on his phone. My daughter went to bed early, because she has to work early in the morning. I went upstairs to get ready for bed bed, because I wasn’t feeling well. Not much longer later, my son and hubby came up. Then my hubby instantly fell asleep, so I had to get my son into bed. Then I went on my phone for a while. Now I’m going to get to bed. I’m still not feeling great!

Night All! 💤😴
