This morning was much like every school day this week…my son woke up a half an hour early, played a game on my phone, got ready upstairs…yadda yadda yadda…I fed the dogs, let them out, said goodbye…yadda yadda yadda…
We decided that for supper we wanted to try something different tonight, so everyone had to come up with a new meal idea. Then we would all meet after school and share our ideas and we would decide on which meal we wanted to go ahead with. Whomever’s meal was chosen had to cook supper tonight! So, after school we did just that! Lucky me, my chicken fried rice was the chosen meal (even though I chose my younger daughter’s meal)! So, tonight I was actually out of bed for the first time in probably a good month and I cooked supper for everyone! There’s a dance competition going on this weekend called Dance Power. My daughter’s studio isn’t in this competition, but they are streaming it live. So she has been watching a lot of it. She stayed in the kitchen with me while I was cooking and I watched a lot of it with her. We’re getting close to competition season!! I have to get myself back into that mode…her first competition is in about 2 weeks!! I sure hope that they’re ready! The first one is supposed to be the hardest one that they’re in this year, or it has their toughest competition! So, of course their teacher wants them ready to bring it!! Anyway, I started supper fairly late and, clearly, we found out that it is a meal that takes some time to cook. Note to self…if following this recipe again – give myself plenty of prep-time!! We ended up eating much later than I intended! However, it was pretty darn tasty, if I do say so myself!! After supper, my oldest daughter had a shower and went to bed, because she has to work early in the morning. My younger daughter took it upon herself to organize the Tupperware container cupboard, because it was, “driving her crazy!!” While she did that I let the dogs out, got water bottles ready and rinsed off any lids/containers that needed it as she went through them. Then she went upstairs to her room and my son came upstairs with me. He played Roblox on my oldest daughter’s laptop on my bed while I just rested for a bit. Then I put the laptop away and got him into bed. Then I went on my phone for a while. Now I’m going to get ready for bed.
Night All! 💤😴
