This morning my son woke up in his own bed at about 7:00. It made getting ready for school so so much easier!! I was feeling pretty tired and nauseous, so I went back to bed for a while. My daughter woke me up when she was getting ready for work. She wasn’t sure what she should wear and wanted my opinion on her outfit. I stayed in bed for a while afterwards, but I wasn’t really sleeping. My hubby came upstairs a while later and we talked for a bit. Then he went to the bank and I got up. I made myself something to eat and checked my emails and other things on my phone. It’s so easy to get on your phone and completely lose track of time. It felt like no time had passed when my hubby left to get our daughter from school. I went upstairs and got myself dressed and ready to drive her to dance. We left not long after she got home. We made good time today and seemed to hit all the green lights! It’s hit or miss on that drive, you either get lucky like we did today or you end up feeling like you have to stop for all the lights!! I didn’t stay in the city today, I just drove back to Beaumont. I went to the Shoppers to get a couple things and then to Sobeys to get what I needed to make homemade pizza for supper. When I got home I started supper right away. Even so, we ended up eating in a rush, because I had to be somewhere by 7:00. My hubby and son dropped me off and then went to get my daughter from dance. I signed up for a meditation class that is on 3 Monday’s during the month of May. All of them except for the long weekend. This is my birthday present for myself !! She just lives in town, so it’s easy to get to. The class was for an hour. She started by explaining meditation and it’s myriad of benefits and gave us a bit of her background. Then she did two guided meditations. The first was a progressive muscle relaxation meditation and the second one was a descent down a staircase. I enjoyed them both and found myself very relaxed and focused during both. My thoughts intruded a bit, as is expected, but it was pretty easy to redirect my focus back to her voice and/or my breath, depending on the point we were at during the meditation. The people in the class were all quite nice and it was a nice small group, there were only 5 of us and the instructor. We stayed a bit longer than an hour, I think I left at about 8:20. I walked home. It was beautiful outside again today. My hubby offered to pick me up, but it was nice to walk. When I got home I talked with my younger daughter for a bit (my hubby and son were playing a game on the Switch) about her in class English essay that she had today. She struggled with the time. She has tomorrow’s class to finish, but is afraid that won’t be enough time. She does well in school, but is not fast at most things. She often runs out of time during tests and in class essays. It’s frustrating for her. We went upstairs and my hubby and son did as well. My son got ready for bed and I said goodnight to him. Then I changed and went downstairs and walked on the treadmill for about 55 minutes. My oldest got home from work just as I was finishing. I went upstairs and helped her with her pizza. Then I went upstairs and got cleaned up and ready for bed. I’m interested in trying a guided meditation before bed, I’m going to search for some tomorrow. There are apparently thousands of them on YouTube. I guess that you won’t know if it’s one that you like until you try it out. Anyway, I’m going to head to bed now. I’m tired and still bloody nauseous – what else is new?! Night All! 💤😴
