Birthday Party Day!

Today I slept in. My son woke up super early! He lasted all night in his new bed though! He couldn’t fall back to sleep. He went on the iPad on his bed for a while and then got up and went downstairs with my hubby. I stayed in bed through all of this. When I got up, I got my son’s bag ready for his swimming lessons. My younger daughter and him went for a walk together to get slurpies, because it was so nice out today. They stopped at a park on the way home. They got home and had to leave right away for the pool. My hubby took him so that I could get things ready for my son’s birthday party. I got all the stuff in bags and ready to go and then I had a quick shower. They came home when I was just out of the shower. My oldest made him something quick to eat, while I got dressed and drove to Sobeys to pick up the birthday cake and fruit tray. I brought it back home and got it into the fridge, then we left for the movie. We drove to the theatre in Windermere, because it actually started at a time where we could watch the movie and make it home on time to get to the pool for his birthday party. The movie was excellent! However, it was super sad. I knew going in that it was probably going to be a sad movie, I just didn’t really know how sad… My oldest daughter was sobbing and even my son was crying!! I had a few tears too. It definitely leaves you wanting more, as I’m sure they intended, but the sequel won’t be out until next year some time. So I guess that we have to wait. The big evil in this one definitely fulfills his role!! He’s bad with a capital B!! It’s very cool to see all of the superheroes from the various movies in the Marvel universe come together in one big film. I’m not going to say anything too specific about the movie, because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone. After the movie we drove home and quickly got ready for the birthday party and then left again to go to the pool. The kids were in the pool from 6:30-7:30 and then in the party room from 7:30-8:30. Both parts went by super quickly!! They all seemed to have a lot of fun. There were only 6 kids, counting my son, because our friend called me on our way to the movie and told us that her boys were sick and that they would not be able to come. It was enough kids for my son though! He had a lot of fun! When we got home afterwards, my younger daughter and hubby went out (he dropped her off at her friend’s house and went to see his friend while she was there.) The three of us played Disney’s Scene It together. My son was super tired (probably because he woke up so early this morning) and we watched just a couple short YouTube videos and he fell asleep on the couch. My daughter and I watched a few more short videos and then I got his pillow and favourite stuffies off of his bed and put them on my bed and pulled the blankets back. My daughter carried him upstairs to my bed. There was absolutely no way that we could carry him up to his new bed. It’s super high and the stairs are really narrow. It wasn’t possible, so we just lied him down in my bed. He half woke up when she picked him up and was carrying him, but he was instantly back to sleep as soon as he hit the bed! I got myself ready for bed after lying him down and I wrote this quick-ish post. I didn’t throw up today, but I still had a couple gagging moments. It’s so not fun feeling nauseous and gagging at everything for months on end. It truly sucks!
