The past few nights I've been doing the whole fall asleep while I'm writing thing. I was talking to my mom about it and said that I'm going to try to take my night time medication after writing my post, instead of before. However, out of habit, I completely forgot and I took my pills. So, hopefully I don't fall asleep again!! It's hard, because when I realize that's what I've done I'm often beyond tired, I'm at the I can no longer keep my eyes open stage, so it's super difficult to finish writing. I just fall asleep again!! It's super frustrating, because I know that I need to write, but it's like I just can't, for the life of me, keep my darn eyes open!! Hopefully tonight's not a repeat event…
Today we, or rather, I had a hang around home day. My dad, hubby and son went golfing this morning. I stayed home and had a shower and did some painting. Then, when they got home I did a bit more painting, we had lunch and I finished my painting. I practiced the birch trees and the northern lights techniques. After I finished my paintings, my mom, the girls and I played Bananagrams, while my dad, hubby and son went to the store to get supper and down to the beach to play with my son's remote control you boat (I bought for $5 at a garage sale). They came back, then my dad, my oldest daughter and my son went to a dog park with Aggy, not our limping Daisy, and to a spray park for my son to play around in. While they were gone, my hubby had a nap and we played some dice games; Tenzies (I think) & Perudo (I don't know if I spelled that correctly! It's fun! It is the game that Captain Jack plays on Pirates of the Caribbean.). They got back while we were playing the last game and started getting supper ready. We had nummy burgers, with potatoes and corn on the cob. It was good!
After supper my son convinced my parents to watch the movie Descendants with him. My younger daughter watched part of it and then went downstairs to her "room" to FAM (an app like FaceTime) her friends. My older daughter laid on her bed on her phone. My hubby played a game on the play station 3 (he brought from home). I painted some more. I re-tried the northern lights and failed epically!! Then I tried some more trees over a full background, instead of only partial background like she taught us. I didn't finish that one though. While waiting for parts of it to dry, I tried a smaller northern lights, which worked a bit better. I sometimes still feel like I don't know what I'm doing. I can't do it nearly as well as her, but I tried! I do still really enjoy doing it though! There's almost something therapeutic about it. I don't know if I need to relax more or what? Probably a big thing is practicing all of the stuff that she showed us. Not just today, but continuing to practice once we go back home. Tomorrow's our last full day before our long drive back home! For now, I'm going to go to bed now. Xo Xo Night All! 💤😴
