Sicky At the Recital!!

It’s a late night tonight, because of my daughter’s year end dance recital.  By the time we got home and then ready for bed, it got late! My poor girl. She definitely wasn’t ready for a full day of dance…there are two recitals, an afternoon one and an evening one. We had tickets for the evening one. My hubby drove my daughter to Fort Saskatchewan (they have the recital at the Dow) this morning around 10:45. I had to take my son to a birthday party at 12:30. Once he got home, we played Monument Valley 2, had something to eat, then left around 4:50 for the evening show. Apparently, my dancing girl was fine all afternoon, but after she finished her jazz and they did Hairspray, I could tell something was off. She started to feel sick again. She was probably doing too much, after being so sick. There was an intermission and then she started texting me, saying that she didn’t feel good at all and she wasn’t sure if she could dance. She did lyrical line, but didn’t look too great (not her dancing, she was pale and kept grimacing) a couple dances later washer small group lyrical. She was in her costume, ready to go on and just before going on, she ran to the garbage can back stage and started throwing up (of course, in her white costume)!  During the next intermission I found her in the dressing room throwing up in a garbage can…poor girl. She really wanted to dance, but her body was saying no! When she seemed to finish, we sat in the audience and watched her dances, it was kind of fun for her, because her teachers borrowed her costumes and filled in for her. So she got to watch them dance in her place. She went on stage for the finale (there’s not much strenuous dancing in it!) and she sat on stage with her friends for the awards. She won the Excellence In Dance award, for the intermediate level, along with two other girls. Three were picked by the teachers as a group (it had to be unanimous) for each level, junior, intermediate and senior. Two of her best friends from school came with us to watch (even though she missed a few dances in the end…) Once the awards were done, we got back in the van, bought Wendy’s for everyone (except our sicko) and drove home. She made it all the way to Beaumont, then started feelin puky again when we were dropping off her friends. We gave her an empty Wendy’s bag to throw up in, but she missed the bag and got it all over my van. Yuck! Blech! Gross! She got it on herself a bit when she was getting out of the van. I’m too tired to take care of it tonight. I’ll have to do it tomorrow, my tummy feels a bit nauseous and I’m tired.  Eventful day. Now I’m going to get to bed. Night all! 💤😴
