The Bachelor Isn’t So Bad Afterall!!

My dancer and I are really into The Bachelor this season. It’s actually the first time we’ve ever watched it. She would get rides from dance and the other girl and her dad were always talking about it. So, she wanted to watch it so she could know what they were talking about. It’s season 21 and I had no idea what to expect. I’m surprised by how hooked I am. I thought it would bother me, all these perfect girls ogling and trying to impress some arrogant guy…but it’s not like that at all! I mean some scenes have the ladies arguing or butting heads. But the main guy isn’t an arrogant jerk, he actually seems like a genuine honest guy who’s looking for the love of his life. He’s serious about finding love and getting married and starting a family and life with someone. He’s honest and open about his feelings and about what he’s thinking. He’s refreshingly different from what I expected. As well, most of the women are, of course, beautiful, but they have substance! They are smart and open and honest, vulnerable and scared and it’s hard not to get drawn into the relationships that are forming and as a viewer, you get attached to certain people and cheer them on and hope and pray that they can find love and true happiness. I was shockingly surprised…I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but I wanted to watch something with my daughter, as she usually just watches YouTube and isn’t doing much with us, because she always seems to be dancing!! So I originally watched it just to be doing something with her, but, like I said, I’m hooked! Today we watched last nights. It went down to the final two and the finale is on Monday. Our favourite is still there-actually, both of our favourites are there, but we want it to be one girl a little more than the other. I feel like a hypocrite watching it, I know I’ve made fun of it in the past! But, it defied my expectations and I’m really enjoying it!! So other than a failed attempt to make slime with the kids today, we watched a three hour long episode of The Bachelor. Then, I drove her to dance. While she was dancing we killed time in Winners and Walmart and then came home. Then our oldest practiced her pat downs on us, since she’s now in training at work. Then we went to bed. Which I’m going to do right now!! Night all💤😴
