Drifting through the stream of life,
She bumps and splashes and screams!
The joy, the fear, the love, the hate,
All show up in her dreams.
With eyes closed, they come to her,
Filled with fantasy and flair,
And emotions straight from her heart.
They always know what’s there!
Meanwhile she’s lost in her little world,
Unsure of what’s real, and what’s not!
What’s here – what’s over there,
Her confusion and fears eat at her a lot!
If only she was half the person,
Others thought that she could be…
But with her brilliant smile, her joy, her heart,
Which, for some reason, she just won’t see.
She’s that person already, and she’s great!
She’s perfect as she is, just so.
We’re all confused, unsure and hesitant,
That’s how we learn and grow!
