She fell from grace

With fear on her face

Her tears were real

She could not feel

She ran from him

Straight to the gym

She used her space

Trying to forget his face

It did not work

She still saw that jerk

She ran outside

She cried and cried

She may be wrong

He sang her song

He danced with her

She felt more sure

She went back to his place

A smug smile on his face

But his eyes were red

She shook her head

He took her hand

Without demand

She lost the words

She felt absurd

He kissed her lips

And held her hips

She loved him so

She didn’t know

That this is love

No push or shove

Tentatively she smiled

Inside she felt wild

If this was true

Then she knew

She’s full of grace

Never a disgrace

She never fell

She has done well

I guess I forgot to mention that my daughter did well yesterday. She dances great and had fun. She decided that she’s a nervous wreck dancing a solo. She doesn’t know if she’ll do a solo again next year. She thinks she’d rather try a duet. I think I was also a nervous wreck waiting for her solo! If I was that anxious for her at pre-comp, what’s it going to be like at actual competitions?? Yikes! She said she wants to be with someone, not all by herself. So, hopefully she gets through the competitions okay!! We went to get her contacts today. We had her first fitting. The girl was really nice. She spent almost a full hour with her, making sure she could put them in correctly. She wasn’t allowed to leave the store without putting them in and taking them out at least two times. The girl was really good with her and made sure that she was comfortable with the lenses before we left. We go back next week to see how she’s doing with them and to actually order some lenses. They have us enough samples to last her all week! We had pigs in a blanket for supper tonight. We used regular hot dogs and some of that pre-made biscuit dough. Not very healthy, but they were good. We rounded it out with a salad and fries to go with it. We have been trying new meals instead of always having the same old things. Also, we’ve been having the kids pick meals and help make them on the day we have their choice. We figure maybe they’ll appreciate it more if they’re involved or perhaps they’ll complain less – lol. Tonight’s pigs in a blanket was my son’s meal choice. He liked wrapping the dough around the hot dogs. So he actually helped a bit, which is good. After supper we watched the movie Dr Strange. It was good. Different than most of the Marvel movies. But I guess that Dr Strange is a different kind of hero – not your typical super hero. It’s late now and my son’s awake. I got to get him sleeping, so I’m going to run. Night all😴💤

Soooo tired! Had a very long day today. It was pre-comp today. Pre-competition day is a day full of dance rehearsals for my daughter and a full day of hanging around watching dance for me. We left the house at 12:30 this afternoon and got home at 10:00. Almost 12 hours…ug! What a long day. It’s a good thing for the kids though. The dance studio rents the theatre for the day and they run through ALL of the dances, including solos, duos, trios and groups. It gives the kids a chance to practice on stage once before competition season starts and it gives the teachers a better look at where the kids are at, at spacing, lines, etc. I think it’s a really smart idea, but it sure makes for a long day! Don’t get me wrong, I love watching my daughter dance, I just don’t necessarily love watching all of the kids dance. It just starts to blur into each other. Some really good dances stand out, but some just tend to look the same after a while! I know it doesn’t seem like much, but it’s exhausting! So exhausting that I’m going to bed now! At least my hubby had my little man asleep when I got home. That was a relief! Night all😴💤

I’m feeling even worse than I was last night. I had a do nothing day. My good friend Holly, who lives in Rocky Mtn House, was in town and popped by for a couple of hours this morning. We had a really nice visit. It’s been a while since I’ve seen her and it was really nice to get the time to actually talk longer than a few minutes on the phone or texts now and then. Then, once she left, I played Blokus and Mouse Trap with my son. Then we watched the first two Toy Story movies. They’re such super movies and it had been some time since I’d seen either. We tried to stream the new movie Sing on our android box thingy, but it’s still too new of a movie so we couldn’t get a good copy of it. So my son deciddd that he wanted to watch the Toy Story movies instead…all except number 3, because it’s too sad! And he’s right about that. The thing that I remember most about the third movie is that it was super sad. I remember I cried and all of my kids cried. I was surprised that he remembered that, but I guess he did. It’s interesting, the things kids remember. My oldest is in a lot of pain, because of her tattoo. She had to work today and she said her shirt was running on it all day. Every time she has to reach certain ways or even turn her head certain ways she’s in pain. She’s saying that she’s never-ever going to get another tattoo again. We’ll see if that sticks or not!! I’m feeling sick, so I’m going to head to bed now. Night all💤😴

Oh No! I’m Getting Sick!!

So I’m getting suck☹️ All of a sudden this evening, I couldn’t stop sneezing or get rid of the sneezing feeling and I just for the life of me can’t stop my nose from running. This will be short because it’s late and I feel po0py…My hubby and I did a Costco run this afternoon…please warn me the next time I decide to do that on a Saturday!! Welcome to the zoo!! It was ridiculous! You can’t even walk in there, it’s like herding cattle – it’s seriously crazy! Sobeys afterwards was more like a petting zoo (lol – if I continue the analogy). I had a nice little visit with my good friend Claudia while dropping my daughter off at her house for a sleepover (with Claudia’s daughter). We had a nice chat – although my damn nose was running like a faucet the whole time. Gabe and I got home around 11:00, which is why I’m just going to bed at midnight and why I’m so tired and I want to rip off my nose!! Argh! I’m going to bed. Not that lying down with a runny nose is any easier, hopefully it’s easier than trying to type!! Short and sweet tonight I guess, sorry! Night all💤😴

Here’s a photo of my daughter’s new tattoo:

She’s always loved turtles and tortoises. It took just a bit over an hour. This was much shorter than they thought, therefore the tattoo was a great deal cheaper than we originally thought it was going to be. She didn’t even cry! She thought she was going to for sure. She did a lot of talking to herself and growling sounds to get through it, but she did it! Now it just has to heal. Afterwards we went to Indigo-Chapters to look at books! Yay! One of my most favourite stores ever. I could spend hours in that store and so can my daughter!! We only spent an hour or so though, because she was in pain and you can only spend so much!! I got four new books today!! My daughter bought me one for going with her to get her tattoo and I bought three. I got good deals though, so I didn’t spend too much! My daughter, on the other hand, spent far too much! She has money now because of her good job, so she should avoid bookstores (her favourite place) when she has money. That’s all I’ll say about it. She will have reading material for sometime!! Okay, now that’s all I’ll say about it! I’m tired, so I’m going to cut this short and get some rest. Night all💤😴

My daughter has a headache, yes she does too

She has a headache, it is true

Tomorrow my oldest daughter, gets her first tattoo

She is scared, she doesn’t know what to do

I tried to calm her down, to relax her too

She’ll do fine, she’ll get through

She’s getting a turtle, my baby-girl grew

It makes me feel old, how about you

Wasn’t she just born, isn’t she new

She’s my beautiful young lady, the time just flew

So tomorrow I’m going with her, she wants me to

It will be fine, and beautiful, I’ll tell her that I just knew

Hopefully she sleeps tonight, all the way through

Then she’ll feel better, less time to stew

Who knew how many words rhymed with do

I sure didn’t, did you

I guess that’s all, there’s no more to do

I did it, like she will, I made it through!
