His entangled thoughts burn with anger.
The smell of his rage is overpowering!
What move to make ?
He sits simmering and glowering.
Why such animalistic aggression?
How did it shift so fast?
When feeling mocked and ridiculed,
Hiding his anger couldn’t last!
She adores him so, only sees the good!
He convinces himself something’s behind her motives.
Yet she doesn’t know he’s plotting,
While she sits quietly with her votives.
He’s ready to burst with rage!
She’s calmly leaning back, looking up at the skies.
She doesn’t know what he’s capable of.
Will it require her to say her goodbyes?
Underestimating how his aggression pushes him,
She bows out slowly, and turns to leave,
With a sudden jump after her,
She feels him grab her sleeve!
Did I forget something, so naive and trusting,
Unprepared for his fist and the push onto her back!
He yanks her up, smirks at her tears.
He punches her, she feels something crack!
Through tears, snot and blood, she tries to run,
He grabs her hair and drags her across the room!
She screams for help, then spots the wrench,
She whips it across the face of her handsome groom,
With her makeshift weapon she hits his eye!
She be-lines it for the door,
Opens it, slams it, doesn’t look back!
She runs out screaming, her heart in horror!
He almost grabs her again,
But doors open up and people step out.
Her heart has shattered,
She thought she knew, without a doubt…
A week goes by, she smells her flowers.
They make her smile,
He’s sent so many!
She’s in denial..,
He’s said he’s sorry so many times,
She starts to believe it was all a big mistake.
It was an accident, he was out of control!
Yet everyone can see that he’s fake!!
But, she takes him back,
She loves him so!
He loves her too,
He’ll never let her go!
He had a bad day,
He’s feeling mad.
Today it’s just a backhand,
It’s not so bad…
The cycle begins,
He’s all she’s got.
He’s oh so sorry,
Until he’s not…
