You Are Powerful ‼️

Do you believe in the power of the mind?

The things you may want or need,

Can be created by your thoughts,

Can be materialized by your beliefs.

You are in the drivers seat!

Which direction are you heading?

If you’re not driving, take the keys back!

Why would you choose to hand over your power?

Who are you trusting to steer your life?

Your boss? Your partner? Your parents?

If you’re unhappy, take back those keys!!

Get the power, your power, back!!

Then believe you can do whatever you set your mind to!

Think about what you want like you already have it!

Thank the universe for it!

Believe that it is yours!

That is where the power lies,

In your thoughts and beliefs.

You can do and be whatever you desire.

Believe in yourself!!

Trust yourself!

Love yourself!

Then the fun will start…

Take A Walk In My Shoes

Take a walk in my shoes

And you may find

Being home’s not so easy

Life’s not smooth and breezy

Take a walk in my shoes

And you may see

The pain is hard and real

It’s not how you’d choose to feel

Take a walk in my shoes

And you may hear

People judging and staring

So much you may stop caring

Take a walk in my shoes

And you may have

A hard time getting through the day

It’s not all fun and play

Take a walk in my shoes

And you may be

Feeling confused and sad

Sometimes happy or mad

Talk a walk in my shoes

And you may find

I’m not so different from you

Except for the pain I suffer through

A Rough One‼️

Today was a rough one.

I hate these days!

They’re awful, not fun,

In so many ways.

I woke up just fine,

Then I felt a twinge,

(That term is just mine)

It always makes me cringe.

Because I feel it coming!

That twinge is a sign,

And my heart starts drumming,

I was no longer fine!

It probably doesn’t help,

That I expect the worst.

But those twinges just yelp,

“This day is cursed!”

Then it starts to build,

With a zing and a zap!

My body feels chilled,

But my face burns like crap!

(Yah, crap doesn’t burn

But I needed a rhyme!)

Then there’s no where to turn,

You feel stuck in time!

I must jump into action,

And dive for my drugs!

They help just a fraction,

But any help’s like warm hugs!

Marijuana works the best,

But I can’t always have it.

It can make me just messed,

With an exaggerated wit! (HeeHee)

If I have to drive,

Or go somewhere with the kids,

I must keep them safe and alive,

No accidents or skids!

I’m going to have some now,

Once I’m done writing this.

I’ve finally learned how,

To do it without a miss!

(I used to waste it all,

I didn’t know what to do.)

Sorry about this quick scrawl!

Pain makes writing hard, too!

Ready To Fly

Yearning for something more

Feeling the tug in her soul

She searches for an open door

Still unsure of her actual goal

Determined to make a difference

Praying for a clearer sign

Fearing a sense of ignorance

Far from her wistful desire to shine

Finally finding a mentor to serve

Learning so much, she reveres it

Using the knowledge to lift her nerve

To halt the diminishing of her spirit

She begins reaching great heights

Drawing from her new-found awareness

From her determination and will to fight

Comes forth a beautiful and new rareness

She can reach for anything at all

Realizing the true potential she always had

No longer afraid to fall

Taking any experience as something new to add

Both the good and bad help her grow

Into the insightful, smart girl before you

No longer fear driven or afraid of the word “no”

She’s always confident and knows what to do

With Love And Faith And Hope

He wills her to admit

Where her heart is truly lying

Unconvinced by her words

Refusing to accept she is trying

Leaving her is not an option

Yet part of him doesn’t believe

Her declarations of her love

He feels a desperate need to greave

Frustration slowly builds within

She doesn’t know what else to do

Her words and actions don’t seem enough

She wonders why he thinks them untrue

She doesn’t know when he decided

That he can no longer trust her

She closes her eyes and prays

That they can go back to where they were

They must come together

With love and faith and hope

Or they will slowly wither away

Leaving them both unable to cope

They meet again to come together

She begs him to truly hear each word

He sees the desperation in her eyes

And realizes he has been absurd

Love brings people together

And can withstand all things

If you trust, have faith and work at it

The joy you can experience just sings

She Smiles

She smiles when it hurts

She smiles when it doesn’t

She smiles when she’s tired

She smiles when she’s awake

She smiles when she’s high

She smiles when she’s sober

She smiles when she’s happy

She smiles when she’s sad

She smiles when she’s angry

She smiles when she’s laughing

She smiles when she’s busy

She smiles when she’s bored

She smiles all the time

How do you know how she feels,

If every time you look,

She smiles?

Big Dreams

She has big dreams

Inside her heart

To keep her sanity

From falling apart

She holds them close

But keeps things real

She doesn’t know

That dreams can heal

She doesn’t believe

That she can create

A life she loves

To celebrate

She was always told

To do her best

To work really hard

Like all the rest

But day by day

She’s losing herself

She won’t let them out

She has them shelved

If she only knew

What she could be

What she could do

What she could see

If she found the courage

To go all in

To follow her heart

To let herself win

She could do so much

And be someone

Who touched the world

Who reached for the sun

She has big dreams

Inside her heart

It takes just one step

To finally start

Take A Bow

Waking up, not ready for the show

Enter stage right, the pain

Pop another pill, take another hit

Sinking slowly into the fog

The pleasant numbness gradually fills

Slowly flowing into her limbs

Deadening the all-encompassing pain

That overwhelms her days

Movements slow and lumbering

She goes through the motions

Pretending to function like the masses

Feeling flat, yet fabricating emotions

Incessantly saying the words,”I’m fine”

The only thing to break through the fog is the pain

Of course it is

The never-ending, all-encompassing pain

Popping another pill in an attempt to disrupt that pain

Gradually burning from the inside out

Needing to extinguish that ever-present fire in her face

Wishing she had the will of even a quarter of that damn domineering pain

The fight is seemingly futile

Vaping drops a transparent blanket over the pain

She can still see the pain, find its pulse, yet it is as if she were on the outside, looking in

Witnessing her pain from a removed stance

Her brain won’t stop, won’t shutdown

She can analyze until the sunrises

With inadequate sleep, the pain escalates

Pop another pill, take another hit

Call forth the numbness and enter the faker

She’s needed for her daily role

Take a bow

Good Riddance

Compressing her heart,

Attempting to close it down.

She can’t let him in,

She’s done with that clown!

Around and around he goes,

Forever changing his mind.

This time it’s final, she’s done!

And that’s just what he’ll find!

He can crawl on his knees!

He can send a hundred roses!

She’s not taking him back,

Her resolve is firm, she knows it.

She’s done with games!

She’s done with heartache!

So he can take his stuff,

She just wants a clean break!

When he says,”I’m sorry”

And then says, “I still love you”

She’s going to be prepared.

She’ll know exactly what to do!

Ignore, ignore, ignore!

Don’t talk or get sucked in!

Know his charm is fake!

This time, he just won’t win!

Breathing in the fresh air,

She smiles, finally feeling good,

Feeling peaceful and calm.

She’s feeling just as she should!

Year End Dance Show

I have to write something fast,

Because I’m tired and it’s late.

Tomorrow is going to be

A busy day, I can’t wait!

We have to drive to Fort Saskatchewan,

For the year end dance show,

At my daughter’s dance school.

What to expect…I don’t know!?

There are two shows,

But we’re only watching the second show.

She’s going to be super tired,

This is something for sure, I know!

She’ll be dancing,

From noon ’till ten!

It makes it a long day,

Until the end.

But she’ll have fun,

And so will we!

I love to watch!

I can’t wait to see!

We’ll be killing time,

All day long.

While she’s dancing away,

To her favourite song!

So I’m off to bed,

It’s far too late!

I’m going to be exhausted,

For an important date!!
