Not a whole lot to write today! We woke up early, the kids and I. We finished getting a few things ready, like I made sandwiches and cut up some fruit and sausage for the road trip to BC. Then the 4 of us hopped into the van and spent the entire day driving to Blind Bay, BC on the beautiful Shuswap. We left a lot later then we intended on leaving…and there was a lot of construction and quite a bit of traffic!! I was awfully exhausted, I certainly didn’t get as much sleep as I would have liked for such a long drive, but we made it here safe and sound!! We left home at 10:30am (Alberta time) fortunately we gained an hour – since we left so late!! Then we arrived at around 7:15pm, BC time. So, not all that bad for me, my 3 kiddos and 2 doggos!! Really that’s close to 10 hours!! Which is pretty darn long! My oldest daughter drove for approximately 2 hours of that and I did the rest…so, that’s quite a bit of driving! I’m super tired! We didn’t really do much when we got here. We unloaded the van, gave my parents their anniversary cards (one we bought and one my son made) and we visited a bit. Then we got ready for bed. The girls are sleeping in the basement bedroom and my son and I are sharing the upstairs bedroom! I’m going to read and sing to him and then crash! I’m totally beat!! Why is driving so exhausting anyway?!
