This morning my daughter woke me up to say goodbye before she left for camp. The first 2 weeks she is at camp they are working as leaders for a Leduc group that is renting the facility/ grounds and basically them (her and her friends) as counsellors. I didn’t actually get out of bed when she left and my son laid beside me and went on his phone. My daughter went downstairs to wait for her friend and her mom to pick her up. I’m not 100% sure when they left. My oldest daughter helped her carry her stuff out to their vehicle. Again, I was feeling really tired from sleeping like crap… At around 11:45 my younger daughter texted me sounding very shook up, because they hit a deer on the way to camp! Thankfully, they were all okay!! It sounded like the vehicle wasn’t that badly damaged and that her friend’s mom (who thankfully wasn’t alone) was able to drive back home afterwards. They were also quite close to the camp. It hit the side of the vehicle and knocked the side mirror, likely dented things a bit. However, they were unharmed, which is very very good!! Also, some kind people came out of their home to help them. I’m very thankful that the girls weren’t driving alone and that they were all okay and that it doesn’t seem to be damaged that badly.
My son and I both ate something. He played on the Play Station and I cleaned up the kitchen. Then I made a list to get us through the rest of the week, until my hubby gets paid on Friday. I went to Shoppers quickly and then to Sobeys. Then I came back home and cooked supper. After supper my hubby went to bed. I hung out with and played with my son for the rest of the night (my oldest daughter worked nights today, just to completely throw off her schedule…). Then I got my son into bed. Now I’m going to get ready for bed.
Night All! 💤😴
