This morning, after not sleeping very well last night, my alarm went off at 7:00. I got up and had a shower. Then I dried my hair, got dressed and ready to go. My daughter had to be at the studio by 9:30 this morning. The studio’s ballet exams were all day today and my daughter was helping with the music for the little kids this morning. She also was helping get some of them prepared for their exam while the teacher was busy with the current exam! She had to be at the studio helping from 9:30 – 1:00. So, I dropped her off and then went to my mom and dad’s for that time. It was way too long to just sit in my van outside the studio!! My mom helped me cut out an inside bra-type lining out of an old bathing suit that no longer fits me and sewed it into a new bathing suit that I ordered online that doesn’t have one! We visited and also had lunch before I had to go pick up my daughter. I got her from the studio and we drove back to Beaumont. We went to Shoppers to buy hairpins for her bun for her exam later. They didn’t have a hairnet, so we went to Rexall and bought her one there, along with some dry shampoo and a card for her ballet teacher. We then went home. We had a few hours at home, we didn’t have to leave again until around 5:00 for her ballet exam! I quizzed her on the theory for her exam, she had me go over it a few times! Then I re-sewed the elastic straps on her ballet slippers where they were over-stretched and no longer looked very nice, because she can lose marks if her shoes don’t look neat and nice. She ate something small and then we drove back to the studio. I dropped her off and then drove to Timmy’s and bought my earl grey tea and muffin. I went back to the studio and waited for her there. They ended up being ahead of schedule, so her group went in early, so she came out about 40 minutes earlier than I expected! She did really well on her exam and received a “commended”, which is a score of 80-84%. When she was finished we drove home. When we were walking in the door, my hubby, son and oldest daughter were about to leave and go for a walk to check out the small midway in town, since it’s Beaumont Day this weekend. My daughter and I missed the parade this morning, because of the ballet exams. She and I warmed up the burgers that my hubby made for supper. Then I filled up the water bottles and let out the dogs. It was only about 9:00, but I was feeling tired. I was letting the dogs in when the rest of the family came back home. My son was feeling tired too. So, I got him ready for bed and now I’m going to get myself into bed, nice and early, because I’m sooo tired!
Night All! 💤😴
