Today was my daughter’s year end dance show. I woke up at around 9:15 to get ready to go. We left at about 10:30. We picked up my daughter’s friend and got breakfast. Then we drove to Fort Saskatchewan to the Dow theatre. My daughter had to be there by 11:30 and the show didn’t start until 1:00. We dropped her off and then went to Safeway to buy her flowers. We ended up getting her succulents, because she likes them and we decided that they last a lot longer. Then we drove back to the theatre and waited there and lined up, so that we would get decent seats. My parents joined us in line when they got there. We got pretty good seats, in the middle section, right in the middle. It was a pretty great show! At the end of the show they always have an awards ceremony. This year my daughter won the very last award, the Dancer Of The Year Award!! WooHoo!! It’s a really amazing award and it comes with a $500 scholarship for next year!! Here’s a photo of her with her dance teacher, Miss Amanda:
Now all my daughter has left is her ballet exam next Saturday and she’s finished dance for the year!! It was a sad day for the dancers, because a few of the girls are moving to a new studio and one of the girls that my daughter is really close with is moving to Kelowna for University. So, following the show they were all crying and very sad.
On the way home, we went to Wendy’s and then we drove back to back to Beaumont. We dropped off my daughter’s friend and then went home. Once we got home we put my daughter’s flowers that she got from my parents into a vase. Then my oldest daughter and I watched a few episodes of our show. We were feeling pretty tired. So I got my son into bed and then got myself ready as well.
Night All! 💤😴
