This morning my son woke up early. I heard him talking with my hubby while I was still trying to sleep. He had gone to bed later then I wanted him to last night, so I hoped that he would sleep later, but he ended up waking up early anyway. He was excited because it was Easter morning and he wanted to know if the Easter bunny had come! I was just concerned that he was going to end up being awfully grouchy if he got out of bed too early!! My oldest daughter came into our room at about 7:30, telling us that she got called into work for a few hours, because the person who was supposed to be there didn’t show up and they couldn’t get ahold of her!! My daughter was supposed to have Easter Day off!! So, she went into work and my younger daughter came into our room at about 8:00! So, we went downstairs then so that they could look for their eggs and Easter baskets. It took them a while to find everything! Once they had, my hubby made a big breakfast. Afterwards, my daughter had a shower and I came back upstairs, I had only gotten about 4 hours or so of sleep and was feeling exhausted. I laid down for only about 35 minutes and my oldest daughter came home from work. My son wanted me to come downstairs when she came home. I went back down for about a half an hour or so, but I was so very tired that I ended up coming back upstairs and slept for about an hour and a half. Then at around 2:30 I had a shower. At 3:00, I was drying my hair and had my son take a shower while I did that. Then I dried his hair!! Then we went downstairs and he got some of his things together while I got the cookies that my daughter made into a container to take with us. Then we got some games together and we left. My hubby left earlier then us to put new speakers into the Miata and needed to use some of my dad’s tools. We stopped at the Sobeys on the way there and my oldest daughter bought my mom some flowers. Then we drove to my mom and dad’s house. My sister and her family weren’t there yet! When we got there, my mom had some sheets and towels that she wanted me to look at. She was getting rid of them and thought that I might want them, and I did!! Then we went into the kitchen and talked for a bit. My daughter told my parents about how well she did at her review at work yesterday. They are super happy with her performance and instead of the regular$.50 raise, they gave her a $1.00 raise!! Also, they want to train her on accounting stuff!! She’s doing great!! I believe that she may have found a position that works for her!! It’s about time, but I’m happy for her and proud of her!! My dad took my son outside to fly their airplanes!!! Then my sister and her family arrived! We all stood around the island in the kitchen talking. Then we finally moved to the living room. We visited in there for a while. We told my mom that she should dye a chunk of her hair a different colour, like purple or blue. My niece came up with the idea of using Mr Sketch markers. So she and my daughter put blue Mr Sketch into my mom’s hair!! (It does wash out!!)
She wasn’t feeling too sure about it, but all of the grandkids loved it!! Then it was time for supper. So the grandkids set the table. Then we all sat down to eat!! It was a very good meal! My hubby left after supper and before dessert, because he has to get up at 3:45am for work tomorrow. After eating dessert, we played Snorta and then my sister’s family had to go home. Then we played another game, the 5 Second Rule (I think that’s what it’s called!!) Then it was 9:00 and we decided to go home as well. When we got home, we were all feeling pretty darn tired! I filled up our water bottles and let the dogs out and in. Then I got my son ready and into bed. I went on my phone for a while. I’m pretty tired though, so I’m going to get ready for bed now!
Night All! 💤😴
