What Is This Thing Called Sleep?!

This morning I went back to bed after dropping off my son at school. I got about 2 hours of sleep last night. I then slept from about 9:15 to 11:30. So I went on only around 4 hours of sleep all day. I don’t think that helps with how bloody sick I’m feeling at all…My oldest daughter had a neurologist appointment at 1:00 this afternoon at the Allin Clinic, so we had to leave at about noon today. We got stuck behind one of those wonderful 50th street trains, which I didn’t count on, so we were a bit late. This dr is usually super thorough and takes forever, so for once I thought that I would be proactive and pay for extra parking. Of course, the one time that I do that, we are finished within the hour and I wasted the extra money! Every other time that I have seen her, with either of my daughters, I have had to excuse myself from the appointment and run down to pay for more parking. The one and only time that I pay for more time in advance, we don’t even need it…Murphy’s law right?! When the appointment was finished we went to Ascendant Book Store just because it’s one of my most favourite places to be. There is something so very calming and peaceful about that place. I just love it. We just walked around and looked at things. We didn’t buy anything. It takes money to buy things!! Then we drove back to town. We went to Sobeys and bought 3 things and then we went home. I’ve been very careful to buy only what we absolutely need. My husband says that we have dramatically decreased our grocery bills over the past couple months, which is good. My hubby got home with the kids about 3 minutes after we did. I drove my daughter to dance. Since it’s Tuesday, I stayed in the city tonight. I talked to my mom on the phone for quite a while, during my daughter’s dance classes. Then I just waited in the van. I am still feeling the same. So I just reclined my seat all the way and closed my eyes until she was finished. Then we drove home. My oldest daughter left as soon as we got home. Her best friends birthday was yesterday and they were going to a movie together tonight. I made some perogies and sausages for my son and daughter (they aren’t big stew fans). I tried to eat a little bit of stew. I only got a tiny bit down. Really not feeling that hungry these days. Then my son made up a game that I could play with him where I can stay sitting on the couch (because he knows I feel crappy!!) Afterwards, I got him into bed. I watched a show with my daughter, we did a load of laundry and now I’m going to get ready for bed. Maybe I will sleep tonight. Ha ha ha!! What a joke!

I’ll go ahead and say it, even though I don’t actually sleep…

Night All! 💤😴
