A Celebration Of Life

This morning once the kids were at school I had a bad headache again. So I took something for it and lied down for a short time. My hubby got up to have a shower. I showered before bed last night so that I wouldn’t have to this morning. I got dressed and ready to go to the city. We had something to eat and drove into the city to the Millwoods golf course. We went to a memorial service, well they called it “a celebration of life” for my “uncle” Karl. (We grew up calling him that, even though he wasn’t actually our uncle.) He was one of my dad’s best friends from school. It wasn’t like a formal funeral service, my mom read some scripture and said a few prayers and then the family talked about him, then they had the mike open for whom ever wanted to say something. It was a great tribute to a good, kind and funny man. He will be missed by many. We stayed for a short while after it was finished, but couldn’t stay for too long, because my hubby had an overtime shift tonight and had to get ready and eat before going. We saw many people that we haven’t seen in years. It was nice. There were also, of course, some people who remembered my sister and I as kids, and it was nice to be re-introduced to say hello. When we got home I quickly made supper and then my hubby went to work and my daughter went to a birthday party in the city. It was for one of her dance friends and another girl from town was also going, so her mom drove them both there. My daughter and I watched a show we had pvr’d, then we watched the Disney movie WallE because my son hadn’t seen it!! When it was finished I drove to the city and picked up my daughter and her friend from the birthday party. When we got home I got my son into bed. My head hasn’t stopped all day!! It’s pounding right now!! So, I’m going to get ready for bed myself.

Night All! 💤😴
