Just Little Old Me…

Today felt like a very busy day, although I didn’t really do that much. After getting the kids ready for school, well more like getting my son ready, my daughter gets ready by herself! Anyway, once he was ready and my hubby and son left, I sat down with some nummy earl grey tea to watch The Good Doctor on Shaw on demand. About halfway through my show my oldest daughter woke up. She currently has a sinus infection that’s causing her grief. We went through our Avon books together to figure out our Christmas order for the year. (Every year I order some of my gifts from Avon.) We figured out what we wanted, then emailed our Avon rep our orders. After getting that done, we did my daughter’s budget for the next month and a half. She’s missed a lot of work due to illness and wanted to see how much she was getting paid, what’s coming out, etc. Next we discovered the reason our dog Daisy has been smelling so bad over he past week is because she has an ear infection. Great…just what we need this close to Christmas, a vet bill. Why can’t you just get the medication?? We know it’s an ear infection. It looks just like the one she had this summer. I still have antibiotic drops left from then that aren’t expired, so hopefully it’s enough to do the job. If not then I don’t know what we’ll do. We really can’t afford it right now. Fingers crossed that I have enough of the drops to heal it. After that lovely discovery, we had a late breakfast, more tea and watched one show. Once the show was over, we went over our grocery list to see what we buy at No Frills and what we get at Sobeys. Once we finished, we got dressed and went to No Frills. We did a big shop there. We tried to get as much as possible from No Frills, as it’s usually cheaper. We always buy fresh bread and produce from Sobeys, unless the veggies look okay at No Frills. We ended up only buying like three things from Sobeys and a huge cart full from No Frills. When we finished shopping it was time to pick the kiddos up from school. I pick my daughter up first, because she’s out ten minutes earlier. We picked her up with four of her friends, who all piled into the back. They were all going to one girls house, so I agreed to drive them. We got my son, dropped the girls off, then we went to Sobeys. I went in and my oldest and my son waited in the van. Once I grabbed a few things, we drove home. We then unloaded the van, put the groceries away, cleaned all of the old stuff out of the fridge and sat down for a bit. I checked messages, emails, VarageSale, etc. We messaged a lady about something for my niece and arranged pickup for Thursday. I helped my son with his LEGO for a bit, then we prepared Shake n’ Bake and got it in the oven, easy peasy!! Once it was in the oven we left for my daughter’s dr appointment at the walk in clinic. I dropped her off, went and picked up my younger daughter, took her home, then went back to the clinic and picked up my oldest. We went back home and, after hunting down a missing piece of LEGO in the stupid shag carpet, I made rice and veggies to go with the chicken. I did the dishes as it cooked. My hubby came home from work while I was doing this. He had to drive the Miata (if that’s spelled correctly) to work today. In the snow. I hate that he has to be in that little convertible in the winter on shitty roads. I always picture him in an accident or in a ditch somewhere. Freaks me out! The kids set the table and we all had supper together. After supper I played the balloon game with my son for a short time. My hubby had to leave to take my daughter to dance. Tuesday’s she dances in the evening, only one class, from 7:00-8:00. It’s a bit of a pain!! My daughter and I watched The Brave. It was a good episode. Very edge of your seat…action!! My daughter took my son upstairs and got him into pjs and brushed his teeth. I put the drops into my dogs ear, sort of. It’s much worse than in the summer. I couldn’t find the opening to the ear canal very easily. It is filled with black goop. I hope I got some in there…I think I did. It was nasty. The inserting thing was covered in black yuck when I was done. I cleaned it really well and ran hot water over it. Yuck I say!! I went upstairs and my daughter read to my son while I got ready for bed. He fell asleep while she was reading…yay! Thanks love! It gave me a little break. Then I got into bed and wrote this! Huh. Long day. I wonder if all this boring plays by play of my day actually interests anyone. I like going through what I did and writing it down. It’s just so, I don’t know, uninteresting (is that even a word??) it’s not like I lead a fascinating life like a movie star or something. It’s just little old me going to No Frills…woohoo! Oh well. It is what it is I suppose. I’m going to head to bed now. Night All! 💤😴
