Today my baby turned 20!! Can you believe it??!! I certainly can’t! It just blows my mind. Poof!! I don’t have a clue where the time went. I feel like I was just pregnant with her – like she should still be a little baby-doll. I don’t know how she grew up so fast! I remember the nurse in the hospital yelling at me because she thought I was squishing her. I remember when her little ankle bracelets slipped off in the hospital and the nurse saying she’s not my baby, even though she hadn’t once left my side. She was such a difficult baby to nurse! I remember that! It just took forever for her to figure it out! So many memories of my little nugget and now she’s all grown up!! 20 years old! Wowza!! Happy Birthday baby-doll! You’ll always be my baby girl and I love you so so much!!
We decided to go to Cora’s for sorta brunch for her birthday. I say sorta, because it wasn’t until like 1:30 when we went. So it wasn’t exactly brunch, was it!? The original idea was brunch, but it happened much later than we intended it to! It sure was delicious though! Definitely worth the wait. They serve so much fresh fruit! It was tasty 😋! They carved a duck, or bird of some kind, out of an apple and sang to my daughter for her birthday. She seemed to really enjoy it. So that’s good. Because, I was feeling really awful! For the first time ever! I didn’t have a gift for her to wake up to! Nothing! I suck!! What a terrible mom I am!! I’ve never done that before. It was obviously bugging me, because it’s all I dreamed about last night! I kept wrapping up random things around the house for her, so she’d at least have something to open. I felt bad all day! We went on Amazon.ca and she picked out a few things that she’s been looking at. I’m going to order them for her and that’s going to be her gift. A little cheesy, but it was her idea. It’s definitely better than getting nothing! Goodness, I feel awful about that.
After Cora’s my daughter wanted to go to West Edmonton Mall. She wanted everyone to go, but my hubby didn’t really want to and neither did my son. Actually, my younger daughter didn’t want to go if we weren’t really going anywhere she wanted and she had no money (and we’re broke!!). So, my birthday girl and I went to West Edmonton Mall, just the two of us. It was fun! We got everything done that she wanted and that I wanted! We started out at Saje (I think that’s how the store spells it!) Then we went to Hot Topic (one of my daughter’s favourite stores). They had a deal where you buy any backpack, fill it up in the store with whatever you want, then you get it all, including the bag for 25% off! Following Hot Topic, we went to The Body Shop. There, I bought my eye cream, night cream and drops of life. Then I got my three free, for buying three things. I chose a face wash, toner and weekly microdermabrasion facial scrub. I also bought s brand new body cream that has fancy coffee in it. It smells awesome!! My daughter bought a few things too, a couple Body sprays and a foaming face wash. From The Body Shop, we went to Lush and then to the bookstore. Following the bookstore , we drove home. My hubby was BBQ’ing burgers when we got home. He had everything ready to go. So we ate supper then he brought out a surprise birthday cake from DQ. We sang happy birthday to her, then she left to go to a movie with her friend. It was almost bedtime then. We played a balloon game together, my son and I. Then we came up
To bed. And here we are!! It’s soooo late!!! I’m soooo tired! I need sleep… Night All! 💤😴
