My last art class was today. We used the strip of paper that was left over from cutting the big sheets of paper. She folded the strips like a fan and had us paint mini pictures in a series on each flat before the fold. Then she punched holes in the strips and we put a small dowel through the holes. It's a neat way to display your paintings!! It was the last class 😞 It went by too fast and makes me sad that it's over.
When I got home from my class, I made a quick phone call to the SalmonArm veterinary clinic. Our dog, Daisy, has been limping. It seemed like instead of healing, it was getting worse. She was putting hardly any weight on it. So, they had an opening because someone canceled. After I had a quick sandwich, we drove to SalmonArm and made it ten minutes early to the appointment. When they called us in, the vet looked at her good paw first, to get her comfortable with him touching her and moving her paw all over. Then he took her bad paw and felt all around the pads and looked all through it for slivers or anything that could be bugging her. He felt all the way up her paw, but she hardly flinched and he couldn't find anything in it. He did find a little stick stuck in one of her back paws. He checked her out all over and discovered that she has an ear infection in one of her ears!! In the end he decided that it's most likely a "soft tissue" injury, like a sprain. He gave us some anti- inflammatories for the next three days. He also gave us ear drops for her ear infection. Before we left with her, they clipped all of her claws for us and cut the fur out of her paw to check and make sure that there was nothing stuck in it. They also cleaned her ear really well to get rid of the goop.
When we got back home, it was time for the anniversary party. Their actual anniversary is tomorrow, but my aunt Marilyn and LT leave in the morning. Their weren't really many more people than there has been all week! My parents neighbours came over. For the first hour or so it was two different neighbours, but the one family didn't stay very long. Once they left, it was only two people more than there's been all week!! We ate, they opened gifts, including the picture I made for them. It's what I was working on when I said that I was working on my "project" before I left for BC. It was/is a family tree that is all decorated with different things that represent them. I was going to post a photo of it, but I'm not sure if I'm going to because I don't usually write my kids or many other people's names on here. I don't know why. So, I haven't decided yet. They really liked it though. It's difficult to explain, but it's pretty cool. They also got a picture frame and some wine. Then we had cake too. That was about it. Then we sat out on the deck, visiting. That's actually where I am right now. Feeling tired, with my face still hurting, so I'm going to head to bed now. Night All! 💤😴
