Today was a beautiful day! It was pretty windy, but nice out. I planted my tomatoe plants in big pots and I planted a variety of flowers in different pots on our back deck. Hopefully they work. I can’t really afford to buy flowers that are ready to go – I have to use seeds and Hope for the best. There’s definitely a lot of satisfaction when they work out and you planted them as seeds! I guess time will tell. We definitely get a lot of Sunni our back yard, it faces south – so we get all of the daytime sunlight in the back and our front is shadowed for most of the day. Last year I planted seeds as well, but I did it too late in the season for them to do very well. By the time they started growing, it was the fall. This year I hopefully did it early enough.
My oldest isn’t feeling well today and stayed home from work. Then around 12:45 my younger daughter texted me from school, because she had a migraine. She went to school with a bit of a headache and I was afraid that it would get worse. Her French PAT (Provincial Achievement Test) was this morning. So, she stayed for the test, then texted me and I went and picked her up from school. I’m hoping that she feels okay tomorrow, because her final dance competition of the season begins tomorrow. She’s already missing school for the competition, it’s too bad that she had to come home this afternoon. At least my son has gone to school the past couple of days. His cough is almost gone.
After driving my daughter to dance today we went to my mom and dad’s. They got back in town yesterday. They weren’t here for my son’s birthday, so they wanted to see them and he wanted their birthday present (of course he did, he’s 7!!) They got him a couple of hockey sticks, with some balls and pylons to play hockey outside. They also bought him a set of two nerf guns that he really really wanted!! Goodness do they ever shoot with some power behind them! I told him, adamantly, that these are for shooting at targets and things, not people! I think that they’d have a bit of a bite if they hit you! We couldn’t believe how far they went.
After supper we played a quick game of spoons and had some coffee. Then we had to come home, because my oldest had a dr’s appointment this evening that we had to get to. My hubby was home from Brandon when we got back, yay! We dropped off my son and I took her to her appointment. Afterwards I had to pick up my prescriptions. My expensive ones. They were each around $100.00. One of them is just really darn expensive all of the time. If we didn’t have coverage, it would’ve cost around $590.00!!! Insane that they can charge that much! The other one usually has a generic brand, but they are on back order until the fall. So, they wanted me to pay an extra $100.00 for the name brand. I said only if my insurance will cover it. They had already called my insurance company and I got a maybe, (they’d rather cover the cost of the generic, because it’s cheaper for them. They will usually cover the name brand ones if that is the only one available.) so they called again. They said that they’d cover it, but I’d have to pay up front sand get reimbursed. So crazy! So I spent a bunch of money on prescriptions tonight. I just don’t get how expensive they are. We even have good coverage! Well, I have them now, which is what matters I guess. I still have that about to get sick 😷 feeling still, so I’m going to go to bed now. Tomorrow will be a long day! Night all! 💤😴
