I spent my morning watching Modern Family again. I caught up to the current season of The Big Bang Theory and I needed a new, light, funny and equally entertaining show to watch. Modern Family is quite good. It’s about a father and his new, much younger wife and her son, as well as the families of the father’s adult children; his gay son, his boyfriend and their adopted daughter and his daughter, her husband and their three children. So, three separate families that come together to form one big extended family. It’s about their day to day lives in each of the individual families, as well as their interactions as an extended family. I can kind of relate to a lot of the daughter and her family. As a matter of a fact, now that I think about it, they have two older daughters and their youngest is a boy. Huh. Interesting. I hadn’t thought about that little coincidence before. It makes sense that there are similar Family dynamics I guess. Maybe that’s one of the reason I enjoy it. It just cracks me up. I find it laugh out loud funny. The bickering between siblings, then the seemingly random times when they inexplicably get along, the old strange and useless resentments, the everyday things that just get ridiculous, I find it all relatable and all hilarious! Oh! I just heard my husband cheering, something good must have happened in the hockey game. Last I heard it was 3/3!! I’ll be right back!
They won!!! Yay! The Oilers won tonight’s game 4/3 in overtime! Much much better than Tuesday’s game!! They got the first goal tonight, but the other guys got up and past us. It was 1/3 for the other guys, but the Oilers fought for it!! Yay!! Way to go Oilers!! Now they just need to win on Saturday and they’re moving on in the playoffs!! Here we go Oilers Here we go “clap” “clap”!!!
My day looks like she’s sleeping peacefully, thank goodness! I had to take her to the dr’s office yesterday, because she has a yucky rash on her back, shoulders and one side of her chest. It was driving her crazy, hurting and itching. The dr said it’s a fungal infection, like athletes foot. It’s like having athletes foot on your body! Apparently, it’s common in athletic people who sweat a lot – they did ask if she does any sports and the dr nodded and said “ahh yes” when my daughter said that she’s a dancer. The irritating thing is that there’s an oral medication that they can give her, as well as a topical cream that she can use. However, the dr just gave us the cream. It makes me mad! If there’s a med that can fix this, and you know that she’s suffering, give her the gosh-darn medication!!! If the cream doesn’t start to help in the next week and a bit, we’re supposed to go back in and they’ll give her the medication. Argh! I wish they had just given it to her!!! I’m going to head to bed now. It’s late! Night all! 💤😴
