Easter Prep’!

Happy Easter, welcome the winter, ah, I mean spring! You’d sure think it was time to welcome winter if you looked outside!! This wonderful Alberta weather we have…it still has barely stopped snowing in the past two days!! It’s crazy!! Those of you who love spring skiing are likely happy, although it’s not the best snow for skiing.  It’s that heavy, wet snow. Likely it’s that type of snow because it’s not very cold out!! However, I remember some Easter’s in the past when we were able to go out on the deck to sit in the sunshine on Easter Day. Maybe by some miracle it’ll stop snowing tomorrow, for Easter Sunday. I guess we’ll see. I’m trying to write quickly because my hubby is waiting for me to come downstairs to hide Easter stuff for the kids. My oldest has to work at 5:00am tomorrow! This will be the first year, ever, that she’s not here Easter morning! Sigh…my baby is growing up! It makes me sad. It’ll also be the first year that she doesn’t get to be a part of the egg and Easter basket hunt. We likely would still have included her if she didn’t have to work!! I guess the best part about starting so early is that she’s off at 1:00 in the afternoon! So, she’ll be home on time to go to my mom and dad’s with us. Although she has to go to bed pretty early, in order to get up to work at 5am again the next day. But, for the Monday, since it’s the holiday, she gets double time and a half, so she’ll be making a good amount of money that day!! Today I did my Easter shopping (nothing like leaving it until the last minute!). We also decorated our Easter eggs today. I did one and the kids all did 4 or 5. It was fun. For the most part, they actually got along, which is nice. The fighting gets a bit annoying at times. Who knows what’s “normal” anymore, I just know that the arguing drives me up the wall!! Well, I gotta run and get to the hiding before it gets really late! So, until tomorrow…Night all! 💤😴
