Blocks the truth

She hides it from 

Herself, the sleuth 

For generally she’s shrewd 

She’s typically smart

True to herself

Good to her heart

But leaving him

Isn’t an option to her

So she’s lying to herself 

She’s lying for sure

It’s no big deal

Maybe he’ll change

Are the things she thinks

Along that range

For the only thing

Her heart can’t take 

Not one more time
