Yearning for something more
Feeling the tug in her soul
She searches for an open door
Still unsure of her actual goal
Determined to make a difference
Praying for a clearer sign
Fearing a sense of ignorance
Far from her wistful desire to shine
Finally finding a mentor to serve
Learning so much, she reveres it
Using the knowledge to lift her nerve
To halt the diminishing of her spirit
She begins reaching great heights
Drawing from her new-found awareness
From her determination and will to fight
Comes forth a beautiful and new rareness
She can reach for anything at all
Realizing the true potential she always had
No longer afraid to fall
Taking any experience as something new to add
Both the good and bad help her grow
Into the insightful, smart girl before you
No longer fear driven or afraid of the word “no”
She’s always confident and knows what to do
