A good day

Wow! That’s new!

Who knew what it feels like,

It’s not something I’m used to!

I just had a headache,

Ah! No big deal!!

Nothing to worry about! 

Nothing to conceal!

How strange it feels,

To receive a kiss on the cheek!

I flinched and cringed

And waited all meek…

But it didn’t come 

On my cheek and my ear.

I’m shocked it didn’t hurt

Or even make me tear!

So I brushed my teeth,

And only felt a twinge!

I stopped and waited

For the heat to singe…

But it didn’t come,

What a surprise!

Not a shock of pain!

Such joyful cries!!

So I scrubbed my face,

And wore a mud mask!

I feel fresh and clean!

I so enjoyed the task!

So here’s to today,

May my luck continue!

If not, I’m grateful for today,

I’ve no complaining to do!!
