Where she was at

She felt so stuck

And that was that

She would not see

That she could alter

Her thoughts and actions

She would not falter

She did not want

To take the blame

Accountability is tricky

And hard to tame

She turned away

From her truth

She blamed the times

Back in her youth

She finds it hard

To look at herself

She won’t accept 

Her hand in her health 

She doesn’t think

That she can grow

She’s given up

She’s saying no

She doesn’t know

It’s not too late

There’s always time
