My damn face rises against me

Sending pain along my skin

The shocking pain is all I see

But I just won’t let it win

My damn face steals my sanity

Leaving me blubbering like a fool

With hardly a trace of my humanity

It tries its best to rule

My damn face stops me in my tracks

Randomly striking when it chooses

Without warning it attacks

It cruelly abuses

My damn face can’t even be touched

The softest breeze brings tears

And leaves my fists tightly clutched

Until the searing pain disappears
