I Won!!

I feel fuzzy brained right now. My sinuses are feeling like they’re about to burst! And, sorry for the grossness in advance, but I feel the goop dripping down into the back of my throat…yup, warned you for a reason. And, to top it all off, I feel my throat getting scratchy. It’s strange because I felt it coming on. This afternoon I felt fine, but then around supper my throat started to feel a bit sore. Then my sinuses started, the grossness and my ears feel plugged up. And now I feel like poop (as opposed to a worse word that I could have used there…) It was just weird as it slowly developed throughout the day. It came on in super slow motion, but now I just feel sick. Yuck!

Tonight I got a message from one of the girls who ran the 21 day fix hat I’ve been doing and she told me that I won the challenge!! Yay!! I ended up with the most points. We got points for drinking enough water, following the diet without “cheating” and for being active (doing my Tai Chen every day with my daughter!!). Then there were extra points you could earn daily for participating in the group activities. There was usually a daily task and a nightly check-in (all on Facebook). Then at the end of the 21 days, they added up all of the points and, yay!!!!, I won!! So I’m getting a new workout kit called Hammer and Chisel. So, once the 90 day Tai Chen program is finished, I’ll have a new 60 day program to do! The Tai Chen should get me in better shape, so that I’m ready to take on the harder program. Keep in mind that this is the company who came out with the Insanity series…so, not easy stuff. Hammer and Chisel is pretty intense, but the timing should work out well. Once I’m done th Hammer and Chisel it will be right around the date of the Mud Run that I’m planning on signing up to do with some of the ladies who’ve been a part of the challenge I just did. Food wise, I’m doing the 21 day fix, again, as part of another challenge group. The thing I like about all of this is the community. I’ve met so many people doing this and they’re all nice and super supportive, of everyone. You’d think that there’d be a lot of competing, for customers and challenge participants, etc. However, it’s not the case. More than one coach run the groups and the coaches participate in the challenges as well. In any challenge then there are people who may have different coaches, but it doesn’t matter. The way they support each other and cheer each other on is addictive. It makes you feel like you’re a part of something important. It’s just a lot of fun, which, of course, makes sticking to it so so much easier. I also like that they share recipes and ideas and teach about clean eating.  It’s not just a “diet” that you do, you lose weight, you stop, you gain it back. These guys teach about meal prep about nutrition and so much more. Wow! I kind of sound like an infomercial – lol! I’ve just been enjoying this a lot. The next challenge starts Monday…who’s joining me???
