Stuck around home today. My face was bad and I still have a ton of wrapping to get done! I did more organizing what goes to who, who wants to give the what’s to the who’s – lol!! It gets so crazy and overwhelming, and things pile up. When you get things gradually and hide them once you bring them home it feels like just another thing or two. Then, when you’re pulling all of the gifts out from various hiding places, to sort it. Well, suddenly it is a heck of a lot more stuff!! (Could just be me…I’m not as organized as some!! Hee Hee!) Then you feel like you have that dilemma about who got what and how much did we spend on her gifts compared to his, does it at least appear semi- even..etc etc. Does it really even matter? Nope!! My 5 year old son isn’t going to care or even notice or understand about who got more etc. Actually, if my kids (the older ones) did make a complaint about so and so having Korea etc, I’d be damn tempted to take all of their gifts to a charity somewhere!! No, if my kids even did think about that, I think they’re smart enough to know that they should keep that information to themselves – lol!
So, this year I bought the majority of my gifts online. This is really nice because I don’t have to go out and deal with busy shopping centres, malls, the crowds and the line-ups. I can be sitting in bed, feeling awful and still go on my iPad or Laptop and shop online. The flip-side of online shopping is that you are picking something based on a photo, you don’t know for sure what it will be like. The wrong thing may be sent to you, they may miss something or make a mistake when getting it packed up to ship. When you buy online, you cannot control how long it will take the package to arrive. I can’t make things get here faster (believe me, I’m still waiting on a few things and it’s totally stressing me out!!). I can’t do anything to ensure that it arrives in one piece (😢😓like my mini glass, fairy, green-house that has the glass completely shattered all on one side😢😓). Also, if it is broken or missing something or not what you expected from the picture, too bad!! It’s yours now! Unless you decided to send it back, but that’s a big pain in the butt!! So, I guess you choose how to buy gifts, online in the comfort of your own home, or buy shopping the traditional way – go to the store and buy it!! I did do a bit of both, but mainly online. Much more than ever before actually. I’m still feeling exhausted and I have too much to do and only 2 days to do it all. Also, another bad thing, if the gift you ordered online isn’t here on time, how long do you give it before heading out and shopping in a store to replace the yet to arrive gift. Then, when it gets here, do you send it back? Keep it for yourself?? Keep it for the persons birthday, or just give it to the intended person late??
Sigh…2 days…do I still wait??
