Itchy – Scratching! Itchy / Scratching! (Repeat…)

I pedalled my easy rider,

For 2 hours today!

At least I’m doing something,

That makes me say hurray!!

I’m nearing the end of my show,

I’m almost up to date.

I’m going to miss it so much!

That it’s ending, I really hate!!

My hubby vacuumed my van.

It needed it so bad!

It’s the most favourite vehicle,

Of all I’ve ever had!

I got new shoes today.

There was a deal I caught.

My daughter said they look like bowling shoes…

Well thanks a lot!!

I really like them anyway,

And they’re a good quality brand!

They’re Josef Seibel shoes,

So clap your hands!

They’re usually at least $130

But I only paid $30

That’s such an awesome deal!!

They’re not the least bit dirty!!

So, bowling shoes or not,

They may be my new faves!

And it never really hurts,

When money is what one saves!

My daughter has friends sleeping over,

They went to a movie tonight.

I picked them up at eleven

We got home close to midnight!!

That’s why it’s so late now,

When I’m just going to bed!

But of course I couldn’t lie down yet,

I had to write this instead!

It’s always the last thing I do,

Before I go to sleep.

It’s a habit that I won’t break,

It’s one I’ll always keep!

Even when I just ramble,

I just go on and on!

I hope it’s not too boring,

And it doesn’t get too long!!

I have too many mosquito bites,

On my ankles and feet!

Last night, I forgot to put on bug-spray,

And they used me as meat!!

So now I’m so damn itchy!

I just can’t stop scratching!

There are so many mosquitos this year.

Where are they all hatching??

I’ve got to try to stop this scratching!

I knows it’s not good for you!

But, nothing I put on them works,

I’m not sure what else to do!!

I’m going to head for bed now,

It’s getting really late!!

I don’t think I scratch while I’m sleeping,

Here beside my snoring mate!!

He snores a whole whole lot!

But apparently, I do too!

The difference is, he can sleep through it,

Which I find hard to do!

Well, I’m hitting the hay now,

I think that’s a good call!

There’s nothing left to say, but,

Night all! 💤😴

Grade 9 Graduation 👩‍🎓

My younger daughter had her grade 9 graduation this evening. They all looked so grown up!  We live in a small town, so you go to school with a lot of the same kids for years. My daughter and her three best friends, whom she’s been friends with for years, looked beautiful! It seems like yesterday her and her little friend were the two shy ones in playschool. They’d sit together and play together. They’d both look down at their feet and get super cute in their shy way. Now they are young ladies.  Much more confident, for the most part – of course, st their age, it depends who they’re around. My daughter can definitely still be the quiet shy one, but not if she’s comfortable around you! Then she can turn into the loud one! (Gee…she reminds me of someone!!) Well, she definitely looked beautiful tonight. My baby girl! Here’s a photo:

I wonder if it bothers her when I post a photo of her on here. She probably doesn’t even know!!

So, my stupid dog made it through the night without anymore messes…thank Goodness!! I NEVER want to deal with that again! Yuck!!  She was fine all day today too. Seems like she got it out of her system. I was so worried that I was going to wake up to a big mess! I’m so glad that I didn’t. She was still stinky last night, but today she wasn’t nearly as bad as yesterday!! What a relief. Sick kids are one thing, but no one should have to deal with a dog in her state! Again, I say yuck!!

Today my hubby and I watched the movie, “Split”. It was about a guy with DID (dissociative identity disorder – what used to be called multiple personality.)  who abducts 3 girls. It was pretty creepy.  James Mcavoy plays the guy with the disorder. Despite the creepiness of the whole thing, he did an amazing acting job. He switched from each identity seamlessly! It made it very interesting to watch. Oh oh! Im starting to do that darn fall asleep while writing thing that I hate so much!! So, on that note, I’m going to go to bed now, before I start accidentally deleting stuff!!

GROSS Dog‼️‼️

Well, I sure hope that my dog has learned her lesson!! All day long she has stunk horribly and she’s been farting up a storm. So so nasty. However,it got much worse than farts… My hubby, my son and I went to Costco and came home with a huge amount of stuff. My oldest daughter let the dogs out so that we could open the front door and keep it open, without the dogs running into the front. So, she goes to let them back in afterwards and smelled something gag-worthy. She looks at Daisy’s backside and she is literally covered and dripping in doggy diarrhea – I mean dripping. I only wish that I was exaggerating, but I’m not!!  SO SO nasty!! It was so bad we couldn’t bring her into the house – it would get everywhere!! We ended up using the hose in the backyard. I put her leash on her and made it super short to hold her in place. I was the lucky one who held her tail up, while my daughter sprayed her backside. So so nasty!! Did I mention that? It wasn’t coming out, so I put about four Sobeys bags over my hand with an elastic around my wrist to hold them on. I poured doggy shampoo into the palm of my covered hand and rubbed it all over her rump. Now that was fun – blech! I almost puked! Anyway. We finally got it all. She wasn’t very happy about it and tried to sit and pull away a few times, but we did it in the end. My concern is that she’s not finished…she still stinks and seems to still be farting. Gosh I hope that she’s finished! I’m not really wanting to EVER do that again…EVER!!  So here I am in my room and it reeks. All I smell are dog farts!! I pray that if she has to go again that she can contain it and it doesn’t happen inside during the night. Hopefully, if she does have to go, she wakes me up to let her out. She’s usually will wake me by putting her paws up on the edge of the bed and jumping with them by my feet, if she needs out in the night. But I REALLY do NOT want to be cleaning up a shitty dog in the middle of the night!! AT ALL! I guess that’s what happens to dogs when they eat a plate full of chicken!! So gross. Aren’t you so glad that I shared that story and all of the gory details with you?! Sorry for that!

My hubby is a scotch drinker. This evening, at the Costco liquor store, my hubby found a bottle of his favourite scotch. It was a $70 bottle, that usually costs around $120. He decided to splurge, which isn’t like him. He rarely buys things for himself. He was so excited all the way home. And talked about just having a taste today, but savouring it and sharing some with a friend who’s visiting next week. When we got home, we were unloading the back of the van. He picked up the box and the bottom of the box crapped out – it opened up and the bottle crashed onto the pavement!!! The whole thing, gone! Just like that!! He was so upset. He actually kept his cool fairly well. I was expecting far worse language and I was also expecting the noise level to be raised – by his screaming voice!! However, he didn’t freak out. He was really calm actually! Super disappointed and angry, but calm. I felt so bad. I didn’t know what to do. (Then I had to deal with the dog situation…) I feel bad , because he decided to splurge and felt a bit guilty and excited when he did. He rarely does stuff like that! Sigh…what a waste.

I used my Easy Rider today for 1 hour and 45 minutes!!  I find it easy to do while I’m just watching tv. It makes me feel like I’m being a lot less lazy!! Instead of just sitting there watching Modern Family, I’m at least moving my legs. It’s better than just sitting there like a lump‼️This lump is falling asleep – I’m so sleepy I need to stop. I’ve already deleted some of the part below that is at the end of this.

Bad Dog!!

I only lost .6 pounds this week 😞 But, at least it’s still moving in the correct direction! There’s something to be said for that. Down is better than up. Besides, I had McDonald’s 2 times this week!! And…I never eat there!! I always feel like crap within 30 minutes of eating at rotten Ronny’s. I think it was just because we were busy and running around and it smelled good!! But, as I said, it never sits very well. I always regret it afterwards! I was afraid the  McDonalds would’ve made me go up! So, I guess I’m happy for a loss, even a small one! Like I said, at least it’s going down!

Our dog, Daisy, did something REALLY bad this evening! I was at my meeting and my hubby and my younger daughter were in the city. Before I left for meeting, my oldest and I BBQ’d some potatoes and chicken breasts. (The chicken was not cheap either!!) Supper was ready right when I had to leave, everything was BBQ’ d and ready to go, but I had to leave. So, I said I’d eat when I got home. Once I was gone, my daughter fed herself and my son and then they went into the living room. A while later, she heard a funny sound in the kitchen, like a plate being bumped. She came into the kitchen and found our dog, paws up on the table mouth full of chicken!! There had been an entire plate full of chicken, enough to feed the three of us who weren’t home, with leftovers. By the time she came in, there was one piece left on the plate and one in the dogs mouth (which she promptly took!!). She yelled at the dog, but the damage had been done! Supper was gone. What a BAD dog tonight!! She has never, ever done anything like that before and she’s like four years old now. I can’t really believe she did that! My hubby was so angry!! What a damn waste.  I don’t know what got into her, but she definitely knows it was wrong. She may not be one of those super trained dogs. But she knows food in the table is off limits, or rather I thought that she knew that!!when I got home she was all happy to see me, wiggling her tail, acting all cute! Nope! Bad dog tonight!! I ended up making my hubby and younger daughter grilled cheese sandwiches. Not quite the same, I know! But by then I didn’t want to cook some little no involved meal, again!! I ate the last little piece,, it likely had dog slobber, but I was beyond starving by the time I got home. So I ate it anyway.

I think I’m going to cut this short tonight. I’m close to the falling asleep while writing BS and i don’t want to start my story all over again. Too tired for that!! Night all! 💤😴

Dancing Her Way Through Phys Ed!!

My oldest daughter and I went to our first yoga class this morning. I was worried that it would be too hard, as I’m in awful shape right now, but it wasn’t that bad! I enjoyed it! Sure some of the poses were difficult to hold and to keep breathing through, and some of them I , obviously, couldn’t do the difficult/advanced position.  However, for the most part, I was able to keep up and do the poses. She has a beautiful backyard! It’s very spacious. It was a wonderful morning, the sun was shining and the birds were singing. It was a small group. Including my daughter and I, there were only 7 of us, plus the instructor. I’m glad that it wasn’t a huge group. That would’ve been much more intimidating! We did the class outside, in her backyard. (I guess that was probably pretty obvious after what I just said about the beautiful day and birds, etc…!) It was a trial class for us, but I think that we’re going to sign up for the next four weeks. It’s only $10/class. Not that expensive at all! Very affordable.

I didn’t use my easy rider again today. But my legs felt pretty rubbery after yoga. You use your legs for a lot of those poses. This afternoon my daughter and I were pretty lazy! We didn’t do that much at all after yoga this morning!!  I felt headachy and tired for some reason. Like if I sat for too long I would fall asleep!  I think I say that a lot. I think that is caused by one of my meds. The tiredness, I mean – not repeating myself- lol!!

I made some phone calls this afternoon about my younger daughter’s physical Education class next year. Her friends are all registered to take phys ed in the summer. She doesn’t want to take the class if her friends won’t be there. We found out that one of her friends is able to use her extracurricular karate classes to fulfill her phys ed component. I started making calls to figure out how that works, because her dance is about five days a week. That’s way more than a karate class! I found out that we have to register her through ADLC (Alberta Distance Learning Centre). She has to complete a minimum of 5 hours in 5 different areas: Dance (60 hours), flexibility, leisure, sports, and strength.  We have to log her hours. She has to have signed forms staying she completed it etc. She can do all sorts of things from swimming to tossing the football back and forth to taking the dog for a walk. She has to get her CPR ticket and do a few simple written assignments. So, once we get her report card for this year, we can register her. Then she can do a bunch of activities over the summer. Then she’ll have an extra block where she can take some extra classes. Her best friend, who is also doing this, so over the summer they can get outside and do some of these activities together. I think it will work out well!! Now I’m going to go to bed!! I’m starting to fall asleep! Night all! 💤😴

A Full Play Day!!!

I didn’t use my easy rider today. I didn’t find time. It seemed like I had a busy day, even though looking back I don’t feel like I did a lot. Weird. I played with my son a lot today. I’m not sure if that counts as “doing something” or not. However, it did take up a lot of my time. We played keep the balloon in the air using toy golf clubs to hit it back and forth “no hands”. Yes, this was inside!! I’m super surprised that nothing got broken! We balanced cups on our heads and tried to knock them off with the balloon. We balanced cups around the house and had to knock them down, with a small beach ball. We played that outside too. We put cups all around the trampoline and someone had to defend the cups, while the other person tried to knock them over with the ball. Then we each had cups behind us and had to try to defend your own cups while at the same time knocking down the other person’s cups. We played other games too. As I said, he and I did a lot today. That little man exhausts me- lol!

I also cleaned the kitchen with my oldest helping (she woke up during our last cup game and joined us on the trampoline!!). Our kitchen looked like a bomb had gone off. It was really bad. My hubby did the dishes yesterday, but you couldn’t really tell, it was super bad! While we were cleaning, her two best friends from high school showed up to see if she wanted to go down to the river with them. She, of course, did want to. It was nice to see her friends. I miss those girls hanging around. One of them used to call me “Momma”. We went from seeing her all of the time to hardly seeing her at all!!  Strange what happens as you grow up. I hope that they can remain friends. I still talk with a few of the girls that I was friends with through junior high and high school and I want those kind of long term friends for my kids.

Once they left, my younger daughter and I went to Sobeys and then I had to pick up a couple of things around town. One from Beaumont buy and sell, a couple tanks. The other was some homemade bug-spray that a lady in town makes herself!! It smells amazing!! I really hope that it works! We usually use the Avon stuff, which also smells good and works too!! Hopefully the new one works as well. I like having good smelling options. Especially ones that don’t leave you feeling all greasy and sticky.

After this we paid, on PowerSchool, for my son’s swimming lessons (through his school) and my daughter’s grade 9 Jasper trip. They’re going away few days to Jasper. They’re camping there. Her grade nine farewell (grad) is on June 1st (this week). I just cannot believe that she’s going into high school next year!!!? My baby girl in grade 10!!!  Crazy man!  Well, I just had to rewrite that last paragraph, because of that stupid falling asleep crap! Argh! Am I ever totally frustrated with that!!  I am going to crash now, before I do it again! Night all! 💤😴

Saying Goodbye To A Chair…

Today I used my easy rider pedalling thingy for 1hour and 45 minutes!! My legs sure feel it. It doesn’t really get my heart rate up though. I feel like I’m doing a bit more than just watching tv and being a total lazybones!  Because it doesn’t seem to raise my heartbeat that much, I’m going to start using my treadmill again too! We just have to move some things in the basement to make it more accessible. Right now you have to move a bunch of things to get to it. It makes it a pain in the butt, so I end up not using it. The recliner that blocks it was the one that was in my parent’s house when I was growing up. Then it moved with us all from Spruce Grove to the city house. From their it moved to their new place. Then my parents gave it to us when I was nursing my son. Now it’s in our basement. I don’t know if we’re going to keep it or not. It definitely has sentimental value, but we really don’t have space for it. My hubby doesn’t understand how a piece of furniture can have sentimental value. He thinks that is ridiculous. But my mom and dad bought that chair probably when I was in grade 8 or 9!  That’s many many years ago! So, I need to figure out what to do with it! We could put it in my son’s room. But that would only work temporarily. He needs a new bed. Once we get him one, a chair that size won’t fit. Hmmm…it’s a dilemma!

My daughter had extra dance practice today. We totally forgot about it. I was at the pharmacy picking up my prescription and she was waiting in the car, reading dance emails. She came running in the store, freaking out, telling me that she needed to go to dance practice right away! We got my pills, drove home so she could very quickly change and left. We left at about 5:20!! She was supposed to be there at 5:30 and it’s a 20 minute drive!!  I went as fast as I could. We arrived at 5:38. Not bad timing. She was worried that it would affect her placement in the finale dance (they were learning the dance that will be their finale in the year end show!). However, after her practice, she told me that it turned out okay. Amanda didn’t get mad at her and she ended up being partnered with a sweet little girl for the finale (all the older kids were paired off with the little guys!!)

On Monday morning, at 9:30, my oldest and I are trying out a yoga class. I don’t know the exact type of yoga. But the place is called, “Unbound Abundance”. The girl who runs it sounds really nice. She said we can drop in Monday, to see if we like it and if so, we register for 4 or 8 weeks. I’ve always been interested in yoga. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. So, I’m excited. However, I’m also pretty nervous. I’m not in the best shape right now. We won’t know anyone. It’s a little intimidating. She said that, if it’s nice outside we’ll do it outside, otherwise, she does it in her house. I’m assuming they she has a big open basement. She only lives a couple blocks away, so we’ll probably walk there.

I just set up the portable (ish) air conditioner in our bedroom. I think that it probably needs a good vacuuming, I’m not sure how well it works. What I do know is that I’d rather find out now and get it cleaned and working better now, then when it’s plus 30 something and it feels stupid hot in here. I mean it’s warm and can use cooling down, but it’s not sweltering. I know it uses a or of power, but on those hot hot days, if it works I’d say it’s worth it! That’s my opinion. I’m not sure if my hubby agrees. He didn’t say anything, but I know that the cost bothered him last summer. Well, I’m rambling lots here! lol. I’m going to call it a day and head to bed. Night all! 💤😴

To Sleep Or Not To Sleep

I’m feeling so tired right now. This is going to be a short post because I need sleep! I’m afraid I’m going to do the fall asleep while posting thing… I’m not really sure why I feel  so tired today. I’ve felt exhausted all day today! This afternoon, while watching a show with my oldest daughter, I almost fell asleep a few times. I felt myself nodding off. My daughter was tired too, but she had a good reason to be, she worked from 4am until noon. She was lying on the couch with her head on my lap. She fell asleep like that and I almost fell asleep! I don’t have a real excuse for my sleepiness, not that I necessarily need one. I have one of those “easy rider” exercise things. You put it in front of you and pedal, like on a stationary bike, but you’re actually sitting on the couch or a chair. This morning and yesterday morning I pedalled on it for an hour and a half. It doesn’t raise your heart rate that significantly, but you certainly feel it in your legs after a while!  I just set it in front of the couch while I’m watching tv, that way I’m at least moving my legs and not just sitting there!  I used to ride my bike a lot when I was younger. Not so much anymore. We really need our son to learn how, then we can go on family bike rides. I think that my hubby is coming to bed. He usually comes to bed much later than this. I’m generally asleep when he comes to bed. Weird. Oh, I think I hear my son…

Nope. He was likely talking in his sleep. He gets that from my hubby. My middle daughter actually sleep walks. She does this really creepy thing with her eyes while doing it! Her eyes are open and seem to stare straight ahead, but they have a glazed, faraway look in her eyes. It’s pretty freaky if you don’t know that she’s sleeping. Actually, she hasn’t done it in a while. Although, the other day I had a 5 mm conversation with her and didn’t even realize! Afterwards, she didn’t remember me even being in her room!!  Although, I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised, my hubby and I have had long conversations that he’s completely unaware of the next day. Oh oh! I just did my first nod off and jerk back awake of the night! I am going to cut this off soon, especially if I continue to do the sleeping thing. Wow! My hubby can fall asleep soooo quickly!! He always has been that way. Not only can he fall asleep quickly, but he can also fall asleep practically anywhere!  I have always been very envious of this! Shoot! I just did the delete thing! Gosh I hate that it doesn’t save as you go! So frustrating! Not only is my hubby a fast fall asleeper (okay – that’s not a word!! -lol) but he’s a loud snorer too! It used to drive me absolutely crazy! But, for the most part, I’ve gotten used to it. I’ve rewritten the end of this post, the snoring part, three times because I’ve fallen asleep. Ironic that I say I can’t sleep when all that I keep doing is falling asleep sitting up, writing! I think that I’m going to hit the hay before I end up deleting too much and having to rewrite half of this. So, until tomorrow my friends. Night all! 💤😴

Time To Go

Fighting strongly

Pushing away

It’s coming quickly

Please not today

Not ready for this

Hating change

Things being different

Having to rearrange

Putting my foot down

Saying no

Happening anyway

Times must go

Sadness settles

Dispair is close

Change is hard

All is morose

Negative attitude

Bad bad thoughts

Fighting depression

When my brain rots

Colourless and bleak

Feeling low

I’ve had enough

It’s time to go…

Lazy Day

I just had a shower and a huge chunk of blue scab came off of my new tattoo!! Just what you were dying to hear, I’m sure! Sorry! What a lovely way to start a post – by talking about my scab! At least it was a petty bluey/green colour – not gross looking or anything! Almost all of the scab is gone now, it’s healing quite quickly.  It’s definitely not as sensitive as it was. It is itchy though, which is a sign of healing isn’t it?? It’s maddeningly itchy and I can’t scratch it – so frustrating. I try scratching all around it, but that doesn’t really help much.        There’ve been a couple of times where I’ve almost scratched it absent-mindedly. I usually catch myself right as I start, because it still hurts if I scratch there. It’s not good for it either. It is still super sensitive!

Today I accomplished nothing! I had laundry to do and I had cleaning to do, but I didn’t do it. After such a busy day yesterday and the day before, I didn’t get anything done today.  I think I wore myself out, because I just felt beat today.  I had the energy of a sloth and zero motivation. I watched Modern Family all morning! There was a great Thanksgiving episode. Also, there was a funny episode about when the oldest daughter has her 21st birthday. (It’s obviously an American show!). The family takes her out for drinks and the mom tries really hard to be her friend – not her mom.  The funniest part is when the Mom agrees to get mother/daughter tattoos (lol! Great timing,Etta is the ).  Especially when the mom goes first and then the daughter starts to freak out about it and changes her mind because of the pain and how permanent a tattoo is. So the Mom ends up with a tattoo that she didn’t really want in the first place!  It was pretty funny.  There were quite a few other episodes that had me laughing out loud, during this lazy morning of mine!! This afternoon I continued my lazy day with even more tv. My oldest and I watched  Supernatural. Then after school I had to drive my younger daughter to dance for pucture day. I then came back home to cook supper. We had tasty spaghetti. Then I had a shower and put my son to bed.
Now I have to put myself to bed!  I fell asleep and it’s now 2:00 in the morning!! I’m soooooo tired!! Night all! 💤😴
