Forgetful Girl!!

This morning my son and I woke up around 9:30, but stayed in bed until close to 11:30. We were lazy bums together! Once we got up, I had to drive one of my daughter’s friends home. Well, I didn’t have to, I offered to. Her parents were both at work and it was snowy and cold and she had a sleeping bag and other stuff to carry. We got Starbucks on our way home…mmm, coffee. Hey! I drank an entire coffee without it overly bugging my tummy!! That’s pretty good, as I haven’t been having coffee since I’ve been feeling sick.

One of the very high ups from my hubby’s work dealt with the whole Suboxone issue. She called the insurance company and made them review the calls with me and explain to her why I was told that it’s still not covered. Their excuse, after listening to my call, was that they didn’t understand what I was asking…yah right!! I was pretty darn clear in asking if I’m now approved for Suboxone under our new plan. But whatever, at least the point is they said I can now send in the receipt and get reimbursed for the $500 pills! In fact, she asked us to send her a copy and said that she’d do it for us. Also, she’s having them correct all of the errors on our file that they wouldn’t allow me to change: our address, our postal code, our younger daughter’s last name and our oldest daughter’s birthday. Sheesh!! Finally it should all be in order. They also (the insurance company) called the pharmacy and told them that it’s now improved. The only problem may be the copy of the receipt. She wanted it scanned and our scanner wasn’t working, so I sent a photo of it. It’s a good photo, so hopefully it’ll be good enough!!

After taking care of all of that, I played a game with my son and I watched a couple shows with my oldest. Then I had to drive my daughter to dance, at around 5:30. The roads in the city were pretty icy. My breaks locked up a couple times when I was trying to stop and I had to do the whole tap the breaks thing. No accidents, thank goodness!! I just hate winter driving! For me, it’s the worst part about the winter!! I can handle the cold and the snow, but I just hate driving in it. It makes me anxious. Anyway, I made it to her dance and back, popped into Shoppers for sausage and made it home safe and sound. By then, it was already about 7:00 and I still had to make supper. So we just had something quick, perogies with sausage. Then we watched another show and came up to bed. My hubby’s in Calgary and my daughter danced late tonight, so my dad picked her up so that I wouldn’t have to and I could put my son to bed. When she came in she told me that she forgot to get the tickets from her teacher!! Grrrr!! It was all I kept reminding her to do!! Tomorrow night is the Oil Kings game and they’re dancing during intermission!! However, she can’t get in, none of us can without the damn tickets!!! Argh!! Her teacher is driving her tomorrow, after I drop my daughter off at her house. So I’m hoping she has the tickets at home and I can just grab them. Fingers crossed!! She had one thing to remember…sigh!! Stinker daughter. I’ve been making arrangements for this bloody hockey game all day and she can’t remember one thing!!! Oh well. I can’t do anything about it now. I’m going to just head to bed and pray that Miss Amanda has them with her. I emailed her. I’m just waiting to hear back!! Night All! 💤😴

Happy Halloween!!

Today I went back to bed after the kids went to school. Only for a couple of hours though. I had to go to Dr Mays with my oldest daughter this afternoon. The doctor looked at the results of all of the different tests that she’s had recently. The ultrasounds came up completely normal. No more ovarian cysts, no problems at all! The blood tests were mainly normal as well. The only things that showed up were that her iron levels are low and her thyroid is on the low side also, just a little bit though nothing too concerning. Both of these things can cause a decrease in overall energy levels. The dr thinks that she has irritable bowel syndrome. She believes that is what has been causing all of the sharp pains in her abdomen. The dr wants her to change her diet and add some activity daily. I think my daughter was a bit frustrated, as she has been in pretty bad pain and was hoping for some more definitive answers. I guess she’s just going to have to go with what the dr said and start taking better care of herself.

After the dr’s appointment, we drove home (in the wet muck, not quite snow, not quite rain). We got to town just in time to pick the kids up from school. When we got home, we had to clean up the front entry, to make it easier for trick or treaters. Then we had a quick supper. Right after eating, my hubby, my oldest and my son went to one of his friends places to go Haloweening (is that a word??) together. My younger daughter and I set up the pumpkins 🎃 and handed out candy to a few kids. The weather was horrible!! It was like raining slush…isn’t that called sleet – lol!! It was wet and cold and miserable. I’m guessing that’s why I ended up handing out less candy than normally…there just weren’t as many kids as usual. Around 7:00, I drove my daughter to her friends house. They’re watching movies there, then a couple of them are coming here to sleep over. The parents where they’re watching movies said no, so they decided to come here. After handing out candy, when they got back home, we watched Halloweentown. A movie from like the 80’s that my girls always loved. Then we came up to bed and here I am. I’m super tired, it’s been another long day. So, I’m going to head to bed now. Night All! 💤😴

Busy Busy Busy!!

This morning, when it was still dark outside, my daughter and I went to her ultrasound appointment. They got her in fairly quickly and it took a bit longer than a half hour. Not bad. I didn’t know how long I’d have to wait. Especially because she had conflicting instructions for how to prepare for the ultrasound. She had two requisitions, one for a pelvic exam and one for abdominal. One of the sheets said fast and drink nothing and the other said to drink a litre of water and have a full bladder. They told us, once we arrived, that she was supposed to do the water drinking and she drank her water right there in the waiting room. They said that they’d do the one first and see if her bladder was full enough when they were ready to move on. Apparently it was fine, because there was no extra wait or anything, which was nice for me.

After her ultrasound, she was starving, so we went to McDonalds and had an unhealthy breakfast. Then we decided to run to the bookstore. We drove to South Common and ate our breakfasts while waiting for Indigo to open at 9:30. We had to wait about 20 minutes. Once inside, I found the Supernatural magazine that I was there for. It’s a special edition Entertainment Weekly and the entire magazine is about the show…yay!! I’m excited to read it!! We also looked at all of the baby stuff, because my niece, who’s a year younger than my oldest daughter, had her baby last month and she’s coming to visit on Sunday. So, we figured we needed to get a baby gift. They have some of the cutest things there!! We picked out a few things for her and the little man, hope she likes them!! They had the fuzzy blankets for sale, where if you spend over $50 you get the blanket for $35. They’re amazing blankets, so of course I did that!!

After Indigo, we drove home. We picked up my younger daughter and bought her food. Then we popped into Shoppers to grab some more Halloween candy – I didn’t think we had enough. We went back home and I called the stupid insurance company, again, they got our address wrong on their forms, but they won’t let me change it, apparently it has to be my hubby…weird. When I asked if the note has shown up on my file yet, about being approved to be insured when I buy Suboxone, they said there’s nothing stating anything about the Suboxone in my file. Argh!! So my husband contacted the assistant-director of his company (she’s like the second in command). She got back to him quickly and said that she’s aware of the situation and that she’s going to look into it for us. So, hopefully she can get things moving. This whole thing is a pain and I need the refund for my dad!! He’s the one who paid the $500 for the damn prescription!!

While I was on the phone, my oldest daughter drove her sister, my younger daughter, back to school. Then my oldest and I bought some duct tape and finished fixing the Halloween decorations that fell off in the windstorm the other day. Afterwards we had to get the other two from school. Right after we got home, I had to drive my middle daughter to dance. On the way home I needed to quickly pick up a couple things from Sobeys. When I got home, I made supper and then we ate supper. After cleaning up I got a load of laundry together, then I finally got to sit down and relax. I had a very full and busy day. Look at me…so busy that I didn’t find time to complain about my tummy for once!! But, I’ll tell you one thing, I am exhausted!!! I’m going to bed now. Night All! 💤😴

Pumpkin Time

Woke up this morning with the same messed up tummy. Surprise surprise!! I really wish it would stop. I had a very lazy morning again today. I was half awake, half asleep lying in bed until almost noon!! I just did not feel like getting out of bed at all!! So, I didn’t. I had no where to be in the morning. No reason to wake up early. I didn’t feel well, so I said I don’t care and I stayed in bed. My daughter came into the bedroom and said we had to leave in about an hour and a half, so I figured I should join the land of the living!!

Around 1:30 or 2:00 we went to my mom and dad’s house. We wanted to get there early enough, because we were doing our pumpkin carving at their house today. So, we spent the afternoon cleaning out and carving our pumpkins. We brought four with us. My hubby and I were going to share, but he helped our son do his, well the beginning of his, then my dad did most of it. Our son has a Pikachu pumpkin, our oldest did a really cool pirate ship, our younger daughter made a flower and I just did a scary face, like a traditional jack-o-lantern. I wasn’t feeling great and didn’t want to do anything too elaborate. Definitely wasn’t feeling creative at all!! Not the same person who was painting at all this summer!! I blame the way I’m feeling…maybe that’s just an excuse, I don’t know!

After the pumpkins, my daughter had to go to dance to practice her solo. Her dance time was right at supper time, so we ate while she was dancing. She ate after she got back (the studio’s only about 10 minutes from my parents house). After supper and even dessert (fancy!!) we played spoons, because my son has been dying to play it and we never seem to have time. It always seems like he’s asking to play right when we either are about to do something or when it’s time to go home. So, even though we wanted to go home early tonight, (because my daughter has an early, 7:45, ultrasound appointment tomorrow morning that I’m going to with her and I wanted to go to bed early) we stayed long enough to play a few rounds of spoons to make him happy. After the card game, we drove home. Once at home, I came upstairs right away to get ready for bed. I have to wake up early for me, so I’m going to bed now. Night All! 💤😴

Where’s Waldo!!

My tummy was/is still super nauseous today. I almost feel like I forget what it’s like not feeling that way! It’s been so darn long now that waking up and feeling nauseous is just a given…which sucks big time!! Although, on a more positive note, my head wasn’t as bad today.

I sort of slept in this morning, sort of. I woke up thinking I forgot to set my alarm at around 7:45. My hubby told me that it’s Saturday. So I tried to go back to sleep and slept off and on until like 11:00. We all sat around talking about the day and just stuff for a while. Then my son and I had toast. Afterwards, my hubby called Fido, about finally getting a cell phone!! (He’s had a work phone for years, but it’s been broken for the past few weeks and it’s been such a pain getting ahold of him. He thinks that they’re fixing his work one, but he’s not sure and with how different things have been with his job, he decided to get a personal phone. Yay!!) You don’t realize how much you rely on your phone until it’s gone!! We have a landline that we’re still paying for, but never use. So, he’s getting that number transferred to his phone. The money we’re accustomed to paying Shaw for our landline will go to Fido for his cellphone. And, we don’t lose the number we’ve had for about 18 years!! Once he got off my phone, I had to take my middle daughter to South Common and then to dance. Her and a group of her friends are dressing up as Waldo from Where’s Waldo, for Halloween. We went to H&M and found her a red and white striped t-shirt. We looked for a plain white and/or a red and white toque, but didn’t have any luck. I had to drop her off at dance, so I went to a Halloween hustore afterwards, but they didn’t have any Waldo related stuff. Then I went to Value Village and found a Christmas toque with a red pom pom on it and I found a brand new white toque, that still had the original tag on it. I drove to Sobeys, bought some groceries. Then went home. My hubby made chicken fajitas for supper, so we ate supper and it was tasty!! Mmm, quite good!! After supper I cut the red pom pom off of the Christmas toque and sewed it onto the white one. It doesn’t have a red brim, but it’s close! She said that one of her friends is just wearing a white beanie, no red at all. So, hopefully it will work for her. Afterwards , I sewed my son’s bear and fixed my daughter’s pants. All things I’ve been meaning to do. My son had a late bath, then we came up to get ready for bed. Now I’m going to get my butt sleeping. I’m sooo tired right now!! Night All! 💤😴

Lazy Day!

Feeling the same as yesterday. I don’t feel 100% yet, but better than last week. My tummy is still pretty darn nauseous, which I am sick of, but I don’t feel so utterly bla in my whole being, if that makes any sense at all. You know when you have a flu bug and it’s in your whole body and just everywhere, but when you have a cold it’s maybe in your throat, nose and head, but not all of you?! Well, I think that’s the difference, my tummy’s sick, I have a headache, but I’m not completely run down in my body. I don’t know if I’m being all that clear. I bet with a bit more sleep, I’d feel even better. I’m hoping when I see Dr May that she can help with that!! However, that’s not until the 6th. So I have to wait.

I had a rather lazy day. I went back to bed again once the kids were at school. My oldest woke me up at 10:30 to see if I’d go with her to her lab test. I had already told her that I didn’t really feel up to sitting in a lab for two hours doing nothing. It’s not like I could go with her in the back to hold her hand or anything while they were taking blood (she’s not a fan of needles). After she left, I slept off and on for a bit. Then I got up and she came home not long after. She survived without me there. They had a hard time finding her veins, but she lived to tell the tale. We didn’t do much for the afternoon, we just watched a couple shows. Then we picked up the other two from school. I hung out with them a bit and made supper. We had to have it a bit earlier than normal, because my son was going to his school’s Halloween dance with a friend and the mom. We didn’t know how sick I was going to feel, so we made plans so he wouldn’t miss it. Not that the world would’ve ended if he didn’t go. But, he had fun and it was very nice of her to take him with them. While he was gone and my younger daughter was helping my oldest daughter do her makeup for a Halloween party, I had a nice long shower. It was very relaxing. I felt like I could’ve fallen asleep afterwards. However, my hubby got home and he had a letter for work that he wanted me to proof read before he sends it. I help him occasionally with some letters. The ones where he doesn’t want to make a mistake!! He didn’t have the best grammar growing up. His mom could hardly read, so it was difficult. His speech has changed in the time we’ve been together. I used to correct him all the time, not to be right or better than him, I just kind of naturally correct people (people I know, not complete strangers) when they make a mistake grammatically. However, I no longer have to correct him and catch him doing so to others!! Anyway, how did I start talking about this…oh right!! His letter. So I did that for him. Then my son came home and we played for a bit, then came upstairs and got ready for bed. Now, here we are! So, I’m going to get myself into bed now. Night All! 💤😴

Feeling Better???

I think that today I’m feeling a bit better than I was last week at this time. I’m not celebrating yet, because I still don’t feel great, but if I compare where I was a week ago, I probably was worse last week. So maybe those pills are gradually getting into my system.

Today I didn’t do much during the day, but after school onwards I was pretty busy. I drove my daughter to dance (which I had a harder time doing last week and couldn’t really do at all two weeks ago…). I popped into Shoppers on my way home. Then, I went with my oldest daughter to her walk-in dr’s appointment in town. She has a sinus infection. That’s what she thought she had, so she was right. After the dr, we went to Rexall to drop off her prescription that she needs filled tomorrow morning for the lab test that she has in the morning. It’s a lactose intolerance test. It’s one of those awful orange drinks. She has to sit in the lab forever while it gets into her system. She has to pick the prescription up on her way to the lab tomorrow morning. After Rexall, we went to pick my son up from a friends house that he was playing with. From there, we went to Shoppers, because my daughter had to pick something up. Then we went home. We loaded the dishwasher while waiting for my hubby to get home with my other daughter from dance. Once they were home, we all piled into the van and went to Sobeys to let the kids pick out pumpkins for Halloween 🎃. Then we went to Maina’s Donair and grabbed supper, because it was almost 8:00 and we were all starving! From there we went home, ate our supper and got ready for bed.

I know for a fact that, at this time last week, I wouldn’t have been able to do all of that! So, maybe slowly but surely, I’m getting a little bit better. I still feel super nauseous, but my headache isn’t quite as bad. I just need a few good night’s sleep in a row. I don’t know if that’s help my tummy, but it’d sure help the rest of me!! Speaking of which, I’m going to head to bed now. Night All! 💤😴

A Little Sleep!!

Today was like yesterday and the day before…sigh. Are we tired of it yet?? I don’t have anything much to write. I went back to bed once the kids went to school. I actually slept!! Until about 1:00, when my oldest daughter woke me up. I think I was shocked when she told me the time. I didn’t expect to sleep from 9 in the morning until 1:00!! At first I was angry that she woke me up, when I was actually asleep!! For once! Then I was just happy that I actually got some extra sleep! Hopefully it’s a new trend!! This afternoon I just sat on the couch and watched a bit of tv with my daughter. Then, when my hubby got home I forced myself to function a bit. I got up and got dressed. We drove my daughter to dance and dropped her off. Then we went to Winners and bought my son a new winter snow suit. It’s quite nice. Not cheap though!! They didn’t have a good selection of winter boots, so we went to the Walmart. We found him a pair of boots and a new pair of jeans. Then we got him some quick food and drove back to Beaumont. Once here, we went to Sobeys and picked up a few things we needed. Then we came home. I warmed up a SmartOnes meal and then we came up to bed. That’s it. My day. Now I’m cutting this off, because my son’s awake and he has school tomorrow!! Sorry so short. Night All! 💤😴

I Left The Dungeon

This is likely going to be a short post tonight. I’m tired and don’t feel well and I’m really tired of going on about that. However, if I don’t write much about how

I’m feeling, I won’t really have all that much to talk about, because that’s generally what I write about. Well, that and my day, but the worse I feel, the less I do; ergo I have nothing to write about!!

I’m happy to report that after sleeping, well sort of sleeping. I was right on the edge, in and out of sleep from about 9am until 2:30!! (Last night I woke up at 3:30am and couldn’t fall back asleep. So I made up for it by half-sleeping for hours today!) What I’m happy to report is that I actually left the house today!! Not only did I pick my daughter up from school, but I (with my oldest tagging along) drove her to dance. Then I drove to Ardenes (I may be spelling that incorrectly!). My oldest lost her nose ring in bed last night and had to buy a new one. After Ardenes, we drove over to Winners where I went underwear shopping. It’s difficult to do. There are about a million different styles and I don’t know what does and doesn’t fit. It took forever. Still don’t know if they fit yet. It always feels like a crapshoot!! They look nice, if that matters at all. I guess I’ll find out soon enough. After Winners, we drove home. As we were driving into Beaumont the mom where my son was playing called me to see why no one was home. It was only 5:30 and she told me 6:00 drop off. Although she was early, I felt bad for not being there. We were about five minutes out of twin. The boys played in the front yard while waiting for us. She didn’t seem angry, but I just felt a bit bad. Anyway I’m feel super nauseous right now. I need to go to bed right now. So I’m going to stop. Night All! 💤😴
