Telus Day

This morning my oldest daughter got up early and helped me get my son ready for school. Once the kiddos were at school, she and I cleaned up the house. The Telus guy was coming over some time between 11:00-1:00. He had to be able to go all over, so we tried to make it a little less messy. My hubby went into work early this morning, so that he could be back for the Telus guy. He got home at about 11:30, right when I was going out the door to pick up our daughter for lunch. She had lunch and I drove her back to school. I spent a long time setting up a new gmail account, since I was going to be losing my Shaw email address. I realized that almost everything is attached to that email. What a pain in the butt!! I still have many things to change. We’ve had Shaw for a loooong time! But, switching is going to save us money and we need to find ways to do that! I decided to start wrapping gifts and brought some into the living room. We only got three wrapped and the Telus guy arrived. He was all over the place, like we thought he would be, so I was unable to get things done!! He left around 2:10. Then I was hungry and we had to move furniture and things back (that we had moved for him!) By the time everything was finished, I wrapped one more present and had to put everything away and go pick up the kids from school. Right after we got home, my hubby left with my daughter, to drive her to dance. I had to go out to Sobeys and Shoppers. When I got home, my oldest daughter and son showed me a neat Santa tracker app on the new tv and it had all sorts of games and things to do. We played around with it a bit, then I made supper. While eating supper, my hubby and daughter came home and we all ate and watched The Muppets Christmas Carol. Afterwards I quickly ran to Shoppers with my daughter (she had to buy a $10 gift for a gift exchange) and then I got back home and played a quick game with my son. Then it was time for him to go to bed. I got him ready and into bed. Then I got myself ready too!! My stupid face is hurting, surprise surprise!! So I’m going to get myself into bed now.

Pretty Nails

Today the first thing I noticed was my stupid face! How yucky. Not a fun thing to wake up to. I’m just sick of it!! This is going to be a short post, because of my damn face. Once the kids were at school I started wrapping Christmas presents. I basically did that all day, until I picked them up from school. As soon as we got home, I drove to the city with my younger daughter. We had appointments at 4:30 to get our nails done. Mine were my anniversary gift! I did mine a sparkling red with one nail silver/white sparkly. They’re very pretty. I just have to get used to having them long again. After our nails were done, I got her some food for supper, then dropped her off at dance. I drove home and stopped at Sobeys and Home Hardware. Then I went home. I made supper and we all ate. My hubby and I made reservations for our Anniversary dinner on Friday. I played a little with my son and then we went to bed – well he did, and I got ready, then sat down to write this. Now I am going to ice my face and go to bed myself. Night All! 💤😴

Pointe Shoes

Today my dumb face was bothering me again! I just get so frustrated!!! It interferes with everything I do. This morning I was pretty lazy. My face was bothering me and I knew that I had a lot to do today. So I took it easy this morning. Around 1:00, my mom and dad came and picked me up. We went to my son’s school to watch his dress rehearsal for his Christmas concert (I can’t go tonight to the actual concert, because I’ll be with my daughter buying pointe shoes!). They sung 5 songs, 3 English and 2 French. He played attention and seemed to know most of the words and actions. After the concert my parents dropped me off at home. I watched one show with my daughter, then went back to the school to pick up my son. I got back home and got him a snack and watched a bit of a show, until I had to leave with my younger daughter to go to the dance store, On Stage. We met her ballet teacher there, along with 8 or so other parents with their dancers. One at a time, they (her teacher and a store worker) fit every girl in a pair of pointe shoes. My daughter was excited and nervous at the same time. She’s still not 100%, but she was okay. Here’s some photos:

The top one is after we bought them, the bottom two are trying them on. After we got the shoes, we had to find a ladies house to pick up something for Christmas for my older daughter, from my younger one. Then we popped into Safeway. After the Safeway we went to Winners. My daughter picked out a couple of small things to be from her for her little brother. Then we went through a drive through to get her some quick food before hip hop. From there, I drove her to dance. I’m sitting and waiting in the car while she dances. It’s only for an hour. Then we’ll go home and get ready for bed. I’m just getting this done, so I can ice my face and go to sleep once I get home. Her class ends in 15 minutes. I’m going to go now. Until tomorrow.

Carol Visit

My face was bad again today! Yesterday it was so so until bedtime. However, today it’s been bad all day long! I just hate it! My daughter stayed home from school today, surprise surprise! This morning my hubby and I talked about Christmas and money and Jamaica and other stuff. We had breakfast at the same time. We also watched a couple episodes of The Big Bang Theory. After lunch, we went into the city to see a friend of ours named Carol. We visited with her for a couple hours. She gave me an ice pack for my rotten face and then a heated thingy to follow the ice. We had a good visit with her. She’s slowing down and all of the ice outside is treacherous for her! Her knee is bad and so are her hips. Her husband, Rae, came home just as we were leaving. He gave me a few books to read. He always has good books for me! After we left we were both hungry. We first called home to tell our oldest to pick up her little brother from school. Then we went to Badass Jacks to have wraps. They were tasty! I haven’t been there in ages! On our way home, we decided to stop at Millwoods Town Centre. There’s a store there that sells used video games and we were looking for a 3ds game for our son. We found it for only $10! The same game on the ps4 cost $40!! Once we got back into Beaumont, we stopped at Sobeys quickly to grab a few things. Then we picked up a dress (for free) for my daughter. We went home after that. It was almost 6:00 by the time we got home and my face was hurting badly! I made a quick supper for the kids, then sat down with my son and played a game for a bit. After that I watched a show with my daughter, while holding ice on my face. Then it was time for bed for my son and time for me to get ready for bed. My dumb face is pissing me off! I’m going to try to sleep, then it won’t bother me!!

Photo Shoot!!

On Thursday I entered a contest for a free family photo session. I found out Friday evening that I won!! I was so excited! I’ve been telling my hubby forever that we needed to get new family photos. My son is 7 and we have zero family photos with him in it, other than some group shots when we went to Disney three or four years ago. So I was thrilled when I won this prize! We made the appointment to have the photos taken this afternoon!! So, most of this morning was spent getting ready for the photo shoot. At about two I’m he afternoon, we met Hannah (the girl taking the photos) by the concrete barn in Leduc. She’d taken photos there previously and had shown them to me and I liked them, so I picked that spot. She took a whole bunch of shots in different locations with all of us, just the kids, just my hubby and I and individual shots of the kids. She’s going to be giving us a USB with all of the photos in it, but posted some of her favourites on her Facebook page. Here they are:

There are some good ones in there!! After the photo session, we went to the White Spot in Leduc for a early supper. After supper we drove home and got dropped my hubby off at a friend’s house, as well as my daughter at her friend’s place (to work on a school project). I sat on the couch beside my son. He played on his 3ds while I wrote in some Christmas cards. I’m not done, but I got some finished. My oldest had a little nap. About an hour and a half later, my daughter texted me to come pick her up. Once we got back she was saying that her tummy was in pain and that she felt sick. Within a half hour of saying this, she started throwing up and was almost crying because her tummy was hurting and cramping so badly! In between writing in cards, I helped her whenever she called me and was getting sick. I don’t know how she got sick so many times! I kept thinking that her tummy must be empty, but it was until I was getting ready for bed that she finally started dry-heaving, because there was nothing left to throw up. Poor kiddo. She’s finally asleep now. I don’t know if it is from something that she ate or if it’s some kind of bug! However, whatever it is, I hope it’s short-term!! She has a very full week ahead of her and has some things that she can’t miss, like buying pointe shoes with her ballet teacher on Tuesday. After writing in cards, my daughter woke up. We watched one show, I went and picked up my hubby and I put my son to bed. My face is bugging me now, so I’m going to bed.

Still Some Good Ones Out There!!

Today was a pretty full day. I started the day by playing iPad games with my son. Then we had breakfast and I had a shower. Afterwards, I took my daughter to the hairdresser to get her bangs cut. Since it was just her bangs, it was quite quick! When we got back home I made lunch for the kids. Then we had to leave to go to our friend Nayeela’s house. It was her son’s 7th birthday party and my son was invited. The girls and I stayed and visited with Nayeela for about an hour and a half. Then we left to drive my younger daughter to dance (my son stayed at the birthday party.) After dropping her off, I drove to the west end to pick up my niece and her baby. We went to my mom and dad’s house for supper. My hubby picked up my son from the party and met us at my parents. We had a good visit. We all took turns with the baby. He’s a little cutie. He was miserable at first, but calmed down and slept through dinner (I held him while I ate and he slept) he woke up when I was just about finished and I fed and burped him. It’s so nice holding a little baby. So precious. I left at about 7:45, with my son, to go pick up my daughter and another girl who dances with her and lives in Beaumont. When we got home, my son and I played the balloon game for about half an hour. Then I looked at different buy and sell pictures to see if I could find a very cheap, but nice, dress for my younger daughter for A Touch Of Class at school on Friday. I found a beautiful dress. The lady wanted $45 for it. I asked her if she would accept $35. We started talking back and forth on Facebook Messenger and somehow started to talk about my daughter and her dance. Then, out of the blue, she said that I can have the dress free of charge for my daughter and to wish my daughter a Merry Christmas and to tell my daughter to make her own beautiful memories with the dress like she had!!! I was flabbergasted! How kind!! I couldn’t believe it! There are just some good people out there. My daughter will be so happy! I can’t wait to tell her!! She’s with friends right now. I’ll tell her when she gets home, if I’m still awake. After talking to the kind lady, I got my son ready for bed and then myself ready too! What a long day. I’m off to get some rest. Night All! 💤😴

Ouch!

My face is horrible today. I’m trying to write my post and hold ice on the right hand side of my face at the same time. It’s difficult to do. I hurt and need to go to bed. So, this is likely going to be a short post!

Once the kids were at school this morning I started Christmas wrapping. My daughter helped me once she got up. We wrapped gifts until I had to go pick up the kids from school. After the kids were home, my son and I spent an hour or more drawing together. Afterwards, I made supper and we ate. Then we (all of us but my younger daughter, who was at a dance gathering thing) sat in the living room while my son and hubby played Zelda, breath of the wild. I just sat feeling crappy. Then I decided it was time for bed, because of how I feel. So, that’s what I’m going to do. Night All! 💤😴

What A Full Day!

My face really hurts again…sigh.

This morning my daughter and I had a bunch of running around to do. We went to the bank, Sobeys, a lady’s house to oick something up, Walmart and Rexall. By the time we got home it was almost 1:00. We had a quick lunch and then did Christmas wrapping until I had to get the kiddos from school. My daughter had to be at dance by 4:00 today, so we had to drop my son off at home, to stay with his older sister, and immediately drive to the city. After I dropped her off, I went to the Winners by my parent’s place. My daughter is going to a dinner and play with dance tomorrow and she needed a gift for a gift exchange. Once I got the gift, I went to my parent’s house until I had to go pick up my daughter. We dropped off one of her dance friends on the way home (her mom owns the studio and she had to stay until 10:00, her daughter didn’t want to have to wait around that long, so we gave her a ride.) Once we were home I had about 5 minutes until I had to leave again. I went to the Starbucks to meet my friend Claudia. We haven’t seen each other since the summer!! We caught up and visited for about 2 hours. It was really good to see her. Time is such a strange thing!! I don’t know how time just seems to zip by. I just cannot believe we hadn’t gotten together since the summer, strange. When I got home it was about 9:40. My hubby and I talked for a bit, while I iced my damn face and then I came upstairs to get ready for bed. And now I’m going to bed. What a full day! Night All! 💤😴

Bad Bad Face

My face was so bad today!! Stupid stupid face! I just hate it! I took the oxycodone that he gave me for breakthrough pain, but it didn’t even touch the pain. So frustrating! This morning we had to have my van towed to the shop. We just went to a local person, but it cost $100 to have it towed!! Crazy!! The mechanic called us about an hour and a half after the van had been dropped off and told us that it looked like a part failed (the caliper- if I’m spelling that correctly!!) He could tell that it was a fairly new part. My hubby explained to him that we had the brakes fixed when we were in BC this past summer. He told my hubby to call the BC shop and find out if the part was under warranty. It turned out that it was!! So we were lucky! The part, which would’ve been $200, was free!! So we only had to pay $100 in labour costs. Not nearly as bad as it could have been! This afternoon, while the kiddos were at school, I started wrapping Christmas presents. Then we picked up the fixed van and, while my hubby paid for it, I went and picked up the kids from school. After school I wrote a few Christmas cards and out Avon order came. Then I made supper. Just as supper was finished, I had to go to there with my daughter. She has had non-stop heartburn since Sunday. The dr gave her s new prescription to help and spoke to her about lifestyle changes. When we got back home we ate supper. My son was playing his Zelda video game, with all of us helping him. Actually, my hubby and him took turns playing. We did that until bedtime. Then I took my son upstairs to and did all of the regular stuff – for him and then for me!! My face is so bad that going to keep this short and head to bed. Night All! 💤😴

Shopping With Mom

This morning, once the kids were in school and I had my tea and breakfast, I got dressed and went to my mom and dad’s house. My mom wanted me to go shopping with her, to give her ideas for my kids Christmas presents. She’s much better at sticking to her budget than I am. I got to their house and mom and I ended up talking about different things and we didn’t actually leave her place until close to noon! We decided to go to the Winners that’s not far from her house. We found some good deals! She got almost enough for all of the kids. She just plans on getting my younger daughter one more little thing. We also found a couple things for me and I bought a couple things for pretty excellent prices! After Winners, since we found almost everything there, we went back to my parent’s house to have lunch. I called Dr Hauptman’s office to see if he could give me something for breakthrough pain. He said yes and called a prescription in to my pharmacy. Hopefully it’ll help! Mom made some grilled cheese sandwiches with really good cheese and we had some grapes. She didn’t get enough for my dad and we were going to go shopping some more, but she was feeling tired and my face was really hurting. Also, it was around 2:00 when we finished eating and I had to be back in Beaumont to pick up the kids by 3:00ish. So we talked until 2:30ish and then I went back to Beaumont. I picked up the kids and went home. Once we were home my younger daughter borrowed some dresses from my oldest daughter, then I drove her to her friend’s house I came back home and started to watch a show with my oldest. At around 4:45, I ran out to the Rexall to pick up my prescription. Dr Hauptman prescribed Oxycodone for the breakthrough pain. I took some and I didn’t notice a difference in my pain🤔. When I was driving I noticed a ding sound and a red (!) exclamation point. Not good. My hubby figured. I had noticed that the breaks were acting strange. My hubby checked and found thatthe break fluid was empty. We have to take it in tomorrow. I made supper and we ate while watching a show. Then my son played his Zelda game. Afterwards it was time to get ready for bed. As per usual, he got ready and into bed and then I did. I’m starting to fall asleep while writing!!! I’m heading to bed now. Night All! 💤😴
