Picked Up My Mom And Dad Today!!

This morning my son woke up at 7:00 and played his How To Train Your Dragons game on my phone for a half an hour, before getting ready for school. Then he got dressed and brushed his hair and stuff. Then he went downstairs. I let the dogs out and said goodbye to the kids. Then I went back upstairs and back to bed! Still bloody feeling sick…strange because I truly thought I would be feeling better by now. I’m really hoping that it’s the medication that is bugging me now…who really knows anymore?! It’s a pretty strong dose, I have to take 3 pills, 3 times per day. So, hopefully it’s just my body dealing with the Flagyl. At about 2:45 I got out of bed and got myself presentable and made sure that my oldest daughter was also ready to go. Then we picked up my son from school. From there we went to the airport and picked up my parents. They have been in California, Palm Springs and Mesa Arizona to visit a couple of my dad’s brothers and to just get away! They picked a great time to be gone too…they left just before all of this darn cold weather started!! Although it seems like it’s not quite over yet and they’re back home, so they didn’t quite miss it all!! Anyway, we drove them to their place in the city and went in with them for a short while. Then we came back home. My hubby drove my daughter to dance in the car and went to his brother’s house, since it was his birthday yesterday. He stayed there until it was time to pick up the girls from dance, then he picked them up and they came home. When we came home from my parent’s house, I went back upstairs…I know, that’s exactly what you expected!! My daughter stayed downstairs with my son. She made sure that he got fed. She has to work early tomorrow morning and wanted to shower before bed, so he came up early and played on his Switch beside me in the bed. Then I got him into bed when it was his bedtime. I went on my phone for a while afterwards. Now I’m going to get ready for bed, because I’m feeling super tired and nauseous.

Hmmm…A Cyst!

Yet again I slept like crap last night…seems to be the story of my life these days. Then this morning my son really didn’t want to get out of bed…I mean he really didn’t want to!! Usually he gets up fairly easily, well not today. He basically refused to move!! He’s generally downstairs by 7:45 – 7:50, well today he wasn’t even dressed at 8:05!! He just wasn’t having it!! Silly boy! Finally, he got up, but he was not happy about it!! I said goodbye to him and my daughter and stayed in bed until 10:00. Then I called my oldest daughter downstairs in her room. Good thing too, because her alarm didn’t go off and we had to get up for her dr’s appointment! We needed to leave by about 10:30. My tummy felt both nauseous and a bit hungry…which was new. We got Timmy’s on the way to the dr’s office, I had my usual order (earl grey tea – 2 milks, 1 honey and a muffin). The dr said that they found a cyst in my daughter’s brain in the MRI. It’s nothing for us to be concerned about, she said. She told us that they are found often and that my daughter was likely born with it. It only becomes a problem if it starts to block the passages of cerebral spinal fluid in the brain. Because the cyst in my daughter’s brain is rather large, the neurologist did speak with a neurosurgeon about it and they recommended doing a follow up MRI next year to see if the cyst has grown or if it has remained the same size. They will only be concerned if it has grown. However, in the meantime she told us not to worry about it. She put a note in her file to do another MRI next year and I guess that for now we don’t worry about it… When the appointment was over, we went to Winners on the way home. My daughter needed to try on some dark blue jeans for work. She only had one pair and it’s been driving her crazy doing laundry like mad trying to keep them clean, especially when she works 6 days in a row!! We found 4 pairs of jeans for her to try on, 3 of which would work for work and all 4 actually fit her really well!! Yay! That hardly ever happens!! She actually ended up buying all 4 pairs, because she desperately needed new jeans and they were all priced really well! She also found another white shirt that she can wear to work and she bought that as well! I needed eye cream and found some, I find Winners is a great place for face creams and stuff like that, such great prices!! Once we were finished at Winners, we drove home. I was feeling really sick again. I had an hour until I had to drive my daughter to dance, so I just laid on my bed until we had to go. Then I dropped her off at dance. I went to my parent’s house while she was dancing. Then I picked her up when she was finished!! On the way home, my daughter and I stopped at the Walmart to buy her a new charge cord and base, hers finally stopped working…she was using the base from the original iPad that we bought years ago!! Then we came home. While I was at my parent’s house I brought something small with me to eat, well, of course it didn’t sit right, so by the time that we got home I was feeling like I was going to yack!!! So was not feeling good… at all!! I went directly upstairs and put on my pjs and laid down. My son went on my phone beside me and my daughter came in and we talked about her english project. Then my daughter had a shower and my son went downstairs. I stayed in bed until my son came upstairs for bed. I got him into bed. Then I went on my phone for a while. Now I’m going to get ready for bed. I’m still feeling sick and I have a head cold and the damn diarrhea hasn’t stopped yet. I’m thinking that it really should any day now…Yuck!! I just want to feel normal!!!!

Not Feeling Better Quite Yet…

Yet again, I slept horribly last night. I fell asleep quickly, but I woke up having to use the bathroom. Afterwards, I was unable to fall back asleep. Frustrating…then, as I laid in bed, I felt my nose getting runny and my head getting congested and I thought, “Yep! Of course! Just my kind of luck! I’m catching my daughter’s cold on top of having a bleeping parasite that I’m in the process of trying to kill off!!” Oh well! Can’t win them all, right?! I finally got up when the alarm went off and got my son ready for school. I let the dogs out and fed them. I said goodbye to both my son and daughter. Then I took some cold medicine and my Flagyl and went back to bed. After a while, I actually did sleep! Then I got up when the kids came home from school. I got dressed and drove my daughter to dance. After dropping her off, I drove back to town, I filled up the van and went to Shoppers to buy more cold medicine, because the stuff that we have at home is almost gone. Then I went home and laid back down. At about 8:00 my son came upstairs. We played together quietly on the bed until I had to leave to pick up my daughter and her friend from dance. Tonight’s her late night. Once we dropped off her friend and came home, I filled up our water bottles and let out the dogs. Then I came upstairs and went on my phone for a while. Now I’m going to get ready for bed.

Team Bonding – Laser Tag

This morning my son went on my phone again, but not for as long as he did yesterday. Then he went downstairs. I still feel like hell, so I stayed in bed. I guess it takes a few days. The good old internet says 3 or 4 days and since I started the Flagyl Friday night and it’s only Sunday I wasn’t expecting much today. I’m realistically hoping for a change by Tuesday or Wednesday. That is if the Flagyl itself isn’t making me feel sick – lol. Then I could continue feeling crappy until the 10 days of taking it are over!! Wouldn’t that be my kind of luck?!

Every year for dance they have team bonding events. This year the senior team bonding was going to laser tag. It was today from 5:00 – 7:00. My daughter and I left at about 4:30 and picked up her friend who also lives in Beaumont. I dropped them off right at 5:00. Then I drove to the Winners. I tried on a bunch of jeans, since mine are literally falling off of me! I clearly had no clue how much weight I had actually lost, because I needed a few sizes smaller. I had to leave the dressing room a few times for smaller sizes, because the one that I had grabbed were definitely too big!! I ended up with two pairs. Now they will actually fit me and my hubby won’t tell me that it looks like I’m carrying a load in my pants because they’re so big (thanks…so very flattering!!) Anyway, by the time that I finished at Winners and I grabbed my earl grey tea (2 milks, 1 honey) from Timmy’s, and I drove back to the laser tag place, I only had to wait for 15 minutes. They actually ended up getting out 15 minutes early. So it was probably good that I was there early, or the girls would’ve been waiting for me. We drove back to town and dropped off my daughter’s friend, then went home. My hubby had just finished supper. I went upstairs and changed back into my pjs. Then I let the dogs out and filled up our water bottles. My daughter talked to me about her english project that she wants help with. My hubby gave my son a bath. Then I got him into bed. I said goodnight to my daughter. Then I went on my phone for a while. I’m going to get ready for bed now.

Another Day Spent In Bed

This morning my son laid beside me and went on my phone. He watched videos on my phone until the battery died – lol! Usually he will only watch for a while, but today he stayed beside me for quite a while!! When my phone died he decided to go downstairs. My tummy, of course, was feeling yucky, so I just stayed in bed!! At about 3:00 I decided to have a shower. Then at around 4:30 my daughter and I drove to her dance studio for an extra production rehearsal. Once the rehearsal was finished, we drove back to Beaumont. She decided to make supper tonight, so we stopped at Sobeys on the way home and picked up what she needed. Then we came home. I did my usual and went back to bed…I simply cannot wait until this Flagyl does something and I start to feel human again!! Then I can get back to normal and start going on the treadmill again and doing yoga again and being with my family again and, oh I don’t know, eating food again!! My son came upstairs and we played a couple games together, him on the iPad and me on my phone. Then he went downstairs and I laid down. After they ate supper, my daughter came upstairs and talked with me for a bit. Then I laid down until it was my son’s bedtime. Then I got him into bed. After he was asleep I went on my phone for a while. Now I’m going to get myself ready for bed.

A Stupid Dr AND How To Train Your Dragon 3

This morning my son wanted to get up a bit earlier then normal to play Fortnite with my hubby. So I got him up at about 7:00, instead of 7:30. I was awake anyway. I hardly slept last night…I literally fell asleep at around 1:00am and woke up at about 3:30am and was still awake at 7:00am! Yuck! I was feeling like hell! In and out of the damn bathroom all bloody night, story of my life these days… So, anyway, this morning I got my son ready upstairs, then went downstairs with him and my hubby. I let the dogs out and said goodbye to my son. Then I went back upstairs and said goodbye to my daughter. Then I went back to bed feeling sick and tired. The pharmacist called at about 10:30 this morning to tell me that the dr called in a different antibiotic, not the recommended Flagyl. It’s really annoying and stupid! I totally remember that the exact same thing happened last year when I had a parasite after my trip to Jamaica!! They called in a different prescription, even though the recommended medication was Flagyl. It didn’t work, I still felt sick after 10 days of being on the medication. I had to see the dr again. Then I had to do another stupid stool sample and wait for the results. Then they said that I still had the same parasite and they finally prescribed me the Flagyl and it killed off the parasite. But, I ended up sick for longer then necessary because they didn’t prescribe the correct medication in the first place!! So, guess what bloody medication they went and prescribed this time?! The same bleeping one that didn’t bleeping work last time!! You’d think that they would have a record of what happened last bleeping time and realize that they are doing the exact same bleeping thing!! Anyway, I just thanked the pharmacist and hung up the phone. You know why?! Let me tell you why!! Because, I realized that I already have a full course of Flagyl filled at home from last year!! They were going to do a double course of antibiotics last time and then decided not to! I checked and still have them and they are not expired!! So, I’ve decided to completely ignore the bleeping dr and take the Flagyl anyway!! Because the dr is clearly out to lunch!!

I spent the rest of the day in bed, feeling like hell! Then, after my hubby picked up my son from school and my oldest daughter came home from work, she and I drove to the Nisku Costco and she bought some toilet paper, some sparkling water and some movie passes. Then, on the way home I stopped at the Shoppers to pick up the stupid-ass prescription so that the dr thinks that I’m taking it…get this! The pharmacist asked me what I’m taking it for and I told her that I’m taking it because I have a parasite. She looked at me and said, but this medication doesn’t treat parasites, it’s for bacterial infections. I said, well, she was going to give me Flagyl but changed her mind and decided to give me this instead. The pharmacist looked completely baffled. Like she literally was stopping herself from saying WTF?! It was hilarious! My daughter and I were both trying not to laugh. So the pharmacist was like, uh, well you need to take all of the medication, don’t stop if you start to feel better, because the bacteria that you don’t even have, may not really be gone…she totally didn’t know what to say!! It was priceless!! It definitely solidified my resolve to start the Flagyl and not the stupid medication prescribed by the dr!! I mean the pharmacist was clearly shocked that the dr even prescribed it for a parasite!! So, when I got home I immediately started taking the Flagyl!! Then everyone else got ready to go, we quickly stopped at Subway, I just had a small wrap, but even that didn’t end up sitting right and I now feel even worse!! Blech!! After everyone quickly ate, we drove to South Common and the Cineplex and we used the Costco movie passes that my daughter just bought to go to How To Train Your Dragon 3 (which is why we recently rewatched the first two movies!! So that they were fresh in our minds!!) It was wonderful! The animation was exceptional! I just love how they give Toothless so much expression! He’s just priceless!!There was one scene that was so bloody hilarious that my younger daughter (who was sitting beside me) and I were laughing so hard that I thought I was going to start crying it was so funny!! It was so entertaining and enjoyable, for the whole family! Everyone, but my hubby (as usual) cried!! My son was audibly sobbing, poor boy! I was holding his one hand and my oldest daughter was holding his other hand, both of us telling him that it’s going to be okay. He’s just so sensitive😊. It was really an exceptional movie- definitely worth the 5 year wait since the last one!! And I’m so glad that we saw it in the theatre!! I absolutely loved it! My daughter bought him a little Light Fury stuffy, she had already bought him the matching Toothless, Night Fury, stuffy when she and I went to Mary Poppins a couple weeks ago. Once it was finished we drove home and I filled up water bottles and let out the dogs. Then I went upstairs and got my son ready for bed. Then I went on my phone for a while. Now I’m going to get myself ready for bed.

A Parasite Called Blastocystis

I have a parasite!! Woohoo!! Isn’t that exciting!! Who thought that it’d be so damn exciting to find out that you have a parasite inside your body?! Well, it is! You know why?! Because, I’m not going bloody crazy! I haven’t lost 18 pounds in 2.5 weeks and had nausea and diarrhea for absolutely no reason!! I haven’t been lying in bed, not eating, doing nothing and feeling like hell for no explainable reason!! For once they actually found something that explains why I feel the way that I do!! You have absolutely no idea how good it feels unless you have lived my life, where you have had years worth of all sorts of problems without explanations!! Where you go to the doctor feeling like complete hell and get told, again and again, that absolutely nothing is wrong with you… So to go to the dr, do a vomit-worthy stool sample and actually have a result found is practically unheard of in my life!! I was convinced that I was going to call the clinic and that they were going to tell me that I was completely fine!! But no, I actually have a parasite!! And, they called me!! A parasite called, “Blastocystis”.

This is taken from the Government of S A Health Web Site (I found similar information elsewhere, but I appreciated the wording on this website and it was one of the first that I found, upon comparison, they all had very identical content.):

Blastocysstis is a single-celled parasite which is commonly found in people who have diarrhea or other intestinal symptoms...Blastocystis infection is found throughout the world, especially in developing countries, and occurs in humans and many other types of animals.

How Blastocystis is spread:

It is not known how the infection is transmitted, but it may be through contaminated food and water.

Signs and symptoms

Symptoms which may be caused by Blastocystis include:

  • watery or loose bowel motions or diarrhea
  • abdominal pain
  • weight loss
  • excess gas

Then the clinic told me that they would be treating it with Flagyl…now if you know anything about the antibiotic Flagyl, you will know that the treatment is not much fun! Great right?! So here’s a bit of information on that. This information is taken from the website Drugs.com:

Common Flagyl side effects may include:

  • nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, stomach pain;

  • diarrhea, constipation;

  • unpleasant metallic taste;

  • rash, itching;

  • vaginal itching or discharge;

  • mouth sores; or

  • swollen, red, or “hairy” tongue.

Sounds fun right! These “may” occur. Remember, basically Flagyl can just be hard on your body, because it has to work hard to wipe out a parasite that has also been having a fun time being hard on your body!! Oh, you also can’t have alcohol while taking Flagyl, but the way that I have been feeling, I have not exactly been drinking up a storm or anything!! Alcohol is literally the last thing on my mind, so that’s not a big deal. As long as it works and kills off the parasite, I’ll be a happy happy girl 😊!! I’m pretty damn tired of the diarrhea and nausea, to say the least! So, Flagyl here I come!! So, when the clinic called me and told me about the parasite they told me that they would be treating it with Flagyl, as I said above. So, after my regular day of getting my son ready upstairs, letting out the dogs. Saying goodbye to the kids. Going back to bed feeling sick. Talking to the clinic early in the afternoon. I got up after school, drove my daughter to dance. Then on the way home from dropping her off, I went into Shoppers to pick up the Flagyl. The pharmacist tells me that the dr changed her mind about the Flagyl. She called in a different prescription and the pharmacist said that you cannot get this prescription in Canada. So the pharmacist called the stupid dr back, but, as my luck would have it, the dr had gone home for the day…grrrr!!! So, I get ZERO prescription to start today!! I just get to feel sick for another day. The pharmacist seemed to think that the dr was acting like a bit of an idiot and should have given me the damn Flagyl. However, she couldn’t do anything about it. She told me that she would call me tomorrow, as soon as she heard back from the dr. So, even though I know that I have a bleeping parasite, I still have to wait for antibiotics to treat it!!! So damn stupid!! Argh!! I went home pretty darn annoyed! I just did my bloody usual, I went back upstairs and laid down in my bed…sigh. I didn’t actually fall asleep. I got out of bed again at 8:00 and got dressed and drove back to the city and picked up my daughter and her friend from dance. My hubby could have done it, but my daughter likes it when I drive her. We dropped off her friend and picked something up at Shoppers, the pharmacist was still feeling bad, because she said again that she’d call me as soon as she heard something tomorrow morning and I didn’t even bring it up with her!! Then we went back home. My son was already asleep. So I filled up my daughter’s and my water bottles and then I got her some cold medicine, because she’s got a bad cold. I said goodnight to her. Then I went into my room. I went on my phone for a while. Now I’m going to get ready for bed.

Another Day Mostly Spent In Bed…Sigh

This morning I got my son dressed and ready when he got up. I went downstairs and let the dogs out and then I said goodbye to my son and I came back upstairs, said goodbye to my daughter, then laid back down. My hubby fed my son and drove him to school. I stayed in bed, except when I had to use the facilities, until my daughter came home from school. Then I got up and started getting ready to drive her to dance. My hubby left to pick up my son from school. My daughter and I left for her dance as soon as they got home. After I dropped her off, I was driving back home on the Anthony Henday. There was a lot of snow falling and blowing snow and the roads weren’t that great. Then I had to pass a snow plow that was driving on my right hand side. The snow that it was plowing was blowing in front of me, causing complete white-out conditions while trying to pass it and, of course, I was passing it while the road was curving. There was a stupid truck who was tailgating me who wouldn’t back off and I was trying to slow down to pass the plow…it wasn’t much fun and certainly didn’t feel all that safe, to state the obvious! The jerk behind me was super annoying and flew passed me as soon as I passed the plow. Some people are such idiots! They’re the type of people who cause accidents!! I did manage to pass the stupid plow, going about 90 in the 100 zone, because the guy behind me wouldn’t let me go any slower. I couldn’t see anything at all! It wasn’t a good time! But within seconds of passing the plow my vision cleared. Then I uneventfully drove the rest of the way home. Once I got home I did something super exciting, I laid down in bed…My son came upstairs and went on YouTube on my phone beside me. Then about 45 minutes to an hour later, my oldest daughter came home from work. She came upstairs. Then after talking for about 20 minutes, we went downstairs. My hubby had gone to his friend’s house for a short while. I started the rice that they were eating for supper. Then my daughter, my son and I watched How To Train Your Dragon 2. It’s not our first time watching it, but it’s a good movie, good but sad 😢 . We paused it part way through so that they could get supper. When it was finished, I filled water bottles, let the dogs out and brought up laundry from the other day. I got my son into bed. Put laundry away. Then I went on my phone for a while. Now I’m going to get ready for bed. I still haven’t heard anything from the doctor. My mom thinks that I should call them. Hmmm…

Gastric Emptying Study

This morning I had to get up at 6:00am. That’s pretty darn early for me!! Considering that I was putting a load of laundry in at 1:20am in the morning, I didn’t exactly get a whole lot of sleep last night!! My daughter really wanted her laundry in last night, but she was waiting for me to get out of the shower. However, somehow I ended up taking forever to get into the shower, so she just put what she wanted washed on top of the washing machine. Then when I got out of the shower, I went downstairs and added my clothes to hers and started the wash. Then I went back upstairs and went to bed. Needless to say, I was super tired this morning. I arrived at the Royal Alex hospital at 7:45am and parked in the very first parkade that I saw. I totally fluked out, because I payed the ridiculous amount for parking at the machine then went up an elevator and through an entrance that seemed like a bizarre, back entrance. I thought that I would be lost for sure! It just said hospital and had an arrow, so I followed it. There was a tiny information desk so I showed them the form that I received in the mail, that said I was there for a “Gastric Emptying Study” (yes, I had never heard of it!) I just knew that I needed to find the diagnostic imaging main reception desk. Here’s the total fluke: the lady tells me that I just have to walk straight down the hall about 50 feet and it’s the first room on my left!! In the entire hospital, there are about 4 or 5 parkades and there also is general street parking, and there are also several different entrances to the hospital from the parkade that I chose to park in!! However, I just happened to turn into the very first parkade that I saw and I parked and bought a ticket saw a sign, with an arrow that said hospital entrance, I shrugged and followed it – with absolutely ZERO clue where the heck I was going!! Crazy!! So, anyway, I had to check in at the reception desk. Then a volunteer student walked me over (not very far) to nuclear medicine). There, after I filled out a small form about my menstrual cycle and whether or not I could possibly be pregnant (not, most definitely not!!) a girl called me in and sat me down and pulled a table up to me. She asked me if I had any food allergies. She made me some food that I had to eat. Some egg whites, that had some kind of radioactive stuff in them that I wouldn’t be able to taste, some toast with strawberry jam and a small glass of water. I had to eat it in 10 minutes. If I couldn’t eat it all, the eggs were the most important thing to eat, because whatever they put in them was what would show up on the pictures that they were going to be taking afterwards. I had to eat with gloves on, (weird!!) it was not easy, since I still feel just as nauseous today and I really haven’t been eating a lot at all!! I tried really hard to focus on the eggs. I managed to eat all of the eggs and most of one piece of toast. I drank all of the water. Once I was finished, she brought into an x-ray type room. I didn’t have to change into a gown or anything. She just put a sticker thing on my right hip and on the right side of my neck. Then I just stood between these big things that looked like an x-ray machine, but she said it was different then an x-ray, because the radioactive material is already inside me, not going inside me from the machine. Once she was finished, it took only about 45 seconds, she made marks on my skin so that she could put the stickers back in the exact same spot. Then I went to the waiting room. An hour later she took another picture, exactly the same way. An hour later, another picture. Then I had to wait 2 hours, during which I most definitely fell asleep in the waiting room!! Then she took the last picture. It was about 1:00pm by the time this final picture was finished. I was quite thirsty. Most people probably would’ve been hungry, since you can’t eat or drink during the whole time, but I haven’t really been eating for weeks it feels like, so I was just thirsty and tired!! They don’t let you eat, because they want to see what your body looks like as the food goes through it, because they’re trying to figure out why I’ve been losing weight and feeling crappy. However, I know my luck and history, the test is going to come back completely normal… Anyway, I quickly found my way back to my van and drove back to Beaumont. I went to Shoppers and bought some bleeping monthly supplies yet again!!(which, here I go with TMI again, and using the word “bleeping” again!!) I mean, come on! Who gets their bleeping period every 2 weeks for 3 months straight?! You know how expensive that gets?! Tampons and pads aren’t cheap you know?! No one wants their period once a month, so who in their right mind wants it bleeping twice?! Who?! Not me, I’ll tell you that much!! Anyway, after Shoppers I got gas in the van. Then I went home, did another load of laundry for my daughter and then I laid down for a whole hour…which doesn’t make up for only getting 4.5 hours of sleep!! But, I got up anyway and I got dressed again and I drove my daughter to dance. Once I dropped her off, I drove to Timmy’s and bought my earl grey tea (2 milks, 1 honey) and a muffin. Then I drove back to the studio. It was surprisingly nice out today. After the freezing cold weather we’ve had it felt downright balmy at only -3!! I was easily able to shut off the van while waiting for her. I only restarted it once to warm it up and not for very long, environmentalists would have liked me better today… When she was finished, we drove back to town. I had to go to Shoppers again to pick up a prescription. Then we went home. My hubby had supper finished. I didn’t eat. I was feeling tired and nauseous. I got everybody’s water bottles ready while they were eating. Then I drove my daughter to her friend’s house so she could work on a school project. Then I came back home. I let the dogs out and then I went upstairs, the dogs usually come up with me, which is why I let them out before going upstairs. I changed into my pjs and hopped into bed. My oldest daughter came upstairs a little while later to say goodnight, she has to work early tomorrow, so she was going to bed. Then my son came upstairs and wanted me to get him ready for bed. Once he was in bed I went on my phone for a while. Now I’m totally beat! I’m going to get ready for bed.

Night All! 💤😴

A Driving Day!!

I really didn’t sleep well again last night. I was feeling pretty tired for most of the day today. My son laid beside me and went on my phone until about noon, then he went downstairs, because my hubby made a big brunch. It’s Family Day, so the kids didn’t have school today and my oldest daughter was off work today as well. I stayed upstairs in bed. My younger daughter came up to my room after eating and we talked for a while. Then my son and older daughter also came up. I went downstairs to the basement and helped my oldest daughter with her laundry. My younger daughter came down to do some of her laundry as well. I found an old box of my clothes and started going through some of it. We started laughing hysterically at some of the things that we found in it. We were just being extremely silly. I was laughing so hard that my tummy felt even more sick – lol! When we finally went back upstairs, my younger daughter and I got dressed and then I drove the van to a church parking lot that’s really big and close to us. You can drive all the way around the church and the parking lot was completely deserted, there were only 2 cars parked there. There were a few snow piles and it was a bit icy in spots, but not bad. Then we switched places and she adjusted the seat, steering wheel and mirrors and then she practiced driving around the parking lot!! It was only her second time driving! She knew that I wasn’t feeling well, but she really wanted to go, so I agreed to take her!! She went around quite a few times, in both directions and practiced signalling. She also practiced parking and reversing out of the spot. She did really well!! I think that she got pretty comfortable with it. She didn’t want to go onto the icy roads. She wants to try on a quiet Sunday evening or morning, when we put a “student driver” sign in the back window. So we just practiced in the parking lot today!! Then we switched back and I drove to the Sobeys and got us each a drink and I bought some milk. Then we went home. At home I almost laid down in bed when my oldest daughter needed me in the living room, I found her some glue and tape that she needed. Also, we went through a box of old children’s books that my hubby found in the hall closet. Then I went back upstairs. He also found a magazine rack and small, matching book shelf that I had bought and never put together. They had started building it while we were out driving and finished it when we got home. I took the magazine rack upstairs, into my bathroom. I quickly organized my books and magazines in my bathroom and put them into it. My oldest daughter took the shelf. Then I finally laid down for a short time, while they had supper. After supper my younger daughter came up and laid beside me. We talked for a while. Then my hubby came up to give my son a bath. I realized that I have an early morning appointment tomorrow. My daughter went to her room to do her math homework. I went downstairs and let out the dogs and filled water bottles. Then I came back upstairs. My daughter came back into my room and climbed back into bed beside me. She was there when my son came in to see me. She got up to go have a shower. Then I got him ready and into bed. I went on my phone briefly and wrote this… I have to shower myself!! I have to get to bed at a decent time, because I have to leave here by 6:45am for my appointment in the morning!! That’s early for me…yuck!! Especially when I feel the way I do…
