Another day gone by,

Boy, does Time ever fly!

The summer’s almost here.

The time is drawing near.

The days are getting longer,

The sun is getting stronger! 

The flowers are showing their face,

They’re taking up their place.

The kids are all outside,

They’re running long and wide!

You can hear them scream and yell!

Their mother’s hearts do swell.

For they love to hear the joy,

In every girl and boy.

The rain has visited too,

The flowers say thank you.

A butterfly goes by,

Flying in the bright blue sky! 

Can you hear the birds sing?

That can’t compare to anything!

It’s such a peaceful sound,

Where serenity is found!

The grass has all turned green,

There’s no brown left to be seen.

Such a perfect time of year!

It’s much too short, I fear.

And I always question why,

Time so swiftly passes by?
