Can I awaken your soul

Can I break through your shell

Or is your heart made of coal

Do you feel like you’re drowning

Sucked down deeper each day

Do you grasp for a life-line

Or just look the other way

Have you given up hope

Certain you have no choice

Feeling manipulated and hurt

As if someone’s stolen your voice.

It takes courage and faith

To reconnect with your heart

It may not be easy

But it’s a great poace to start
