Last night we went to bed far too late…that’s what you get for staying up late watching movies!! My daughter woke me up early to say goodbye to me before she left for camp again. It’s only for a couple of days this time, for the anniversary weekend. Surprisingly, I actually fell asleep after she left for a couple of hours. When I woke up, I got ready to go out with my old friend from school. Then my son and I went downstairs. When she arrived, we drove to the Nisku outlet mall, because she had a couple of things to exchange and something to return. Then we drove back to town and went BP’s and sat on the patio and had a couple of drinks and shared an appie and visited for a few hours. It was super great to meet with her and we had an awesome visit. We were together for almost 5 hours! I guess that when you’ve known someone for years, the time really flies by! We have been friends since grade school after all…When I got home, my daughter had already made grilled cheese sandwiches for supper. I gave my son the costume that my friend gave me for him, her boys used to wear it. He immediately tried it on. It was too funny. Here’s a photo:

Then I made myself a sandwich as well. Afterwards I watched my son play Just Dance in his fat suit, which was very entertaining!! Then we came upstairs. I got him into bed. Then I had a shower and now I’m going to get ready to bed myself. Wow. An almost normal bedtime hour…whatever is wrong with us?!
